The police did quite an amazing job of keeping the Antifa hoodlums far enough away that the speeches were able to go on undisturbed. It's disgusting that such extreme security was necessary in a city that considers itself the birthplace of freedom in America. But they did it.

 This fellow was clearly having more fun than should be allowed in Boston!

 Hal Shurtleff (left) and his son (right) run Camp Constitution for kids. Boston Mayor Walsh has refused their request to raise their Christian flag over City Hall, although the "gay" rainbow flag, the "transgender" flag, and the flags for Communist China and Cuba were all allowed. Of course, Walsh also denied the Straight Pride flag request.

The Speeches

Before the event (and even afterwards) the Boston media, politicians, and liberal establishment all parroted the Leftist line that the Straight Pride event was really about "white supremicism" as well as "anti-woman." That was generally presented as fact.

Really?? Below are the speakers that day. Do they look like white supremacists or anti-woman to you? The smears are, as usual, all nonsense.

Their speeches were mostly about how great America is and their personal experiences overcoming adversity. (Unfortunately we didn't get all their names. Milo was the final speaker.)

 This speaker is a member of the "Proud Boys" organization, which is known for showing up around the country and confronting Antifa thugs. The Left universally smears the Proud Boys as being a "white supremacist" group. A bit hard to believe, actually, but Leftists never let facts get in the way of emotion.

 This is the lawyer who successfully helped the Straight Pride group fight the maze of obstacles the Mayor tried to put in their way.

Speech by Milo!

The last speaker was Milo Yiannopoulos, the Grand Marshall of the Parade (and an openly homosexual, "married" to a man). Milo is a well-known political conservative (wearing a MAGA hat), and is also brutally honest about the destructive nature of the LGBT agenda, lifestyle, and behaviors.

 Milo insisted on a podium, and the organizers were happy to comply the best they could.

The Boston Straight Pride Parade was clearly put on as a parody of the annual "Gay Pride" parade in Boston. It was also pro-America and pro-President Trump. But to the humorless Left, such a public rebuke of political correctness needs to be demonized and destroyed by whatever means possible.

 These were on telephone poles around the downtown area.

We had a long conversation with one of the Antifa people on his way to City Hall Plaza. He was a young guy, about 25. He was yelling "Nazis get off of OUR streets!" We asked him, "Aren't these public streets?" He admitted they were, but said it didn't matter. So we asked him, "How do you know they're Nazis?" He said their writings have been reported in all the news. He then claimed had he had personally talked to the Straight Pride leaders, whom he said admitted to being Nazis and white supremacists. He said that they needed to be driven out of Boston. We told him that Antifa appears to be pretty Nazi-like itself with that kind of thinking and violent approach. Apparently no one had ever said that to him before, and he didn't respond. The whole conversation was like something out of the Twilight Zone. But make no mistake: this really is the irrational way that a whole segment of the population thinks.

 This woman told us she is a librarian in Somerville, MA. The obvious question was: if she's against ignorance, what's she doing here?

 Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a joke or they're serious.

 This guy managed to avoid getting attacked - at least while we were there.

 This woman told us that Stephen Miller is someone in the Trump Administration (he's a senior advisor in the White House), that she apparently doesn't like!

 This guy took down his mask and posed for us with his "Black Trans Lives Matter" shirt.

 Another Leftist who believes nonsense.

 Oh, sometimes being a social justice warrior can get so boring! Need to check those phone messages!

Barricades, over 1,000 police, even helicopter patrols

We have never seen so many police, barricades, and overall security in downtown Boston, ever, for any event. Police officers were brought in from as far away as Brockton, MA. The parade route was approximately the same as the "Gay Pride" Parade each June: from Copley Square to City Hall Plaza. At City Hall Plaza, where the parade ended, there would be speeches by the Straight Pride organization's selected speakers.

 Streets were blocked off around the staging area at the beginning of the parade. Note the Boston Police wearing yellow-green vests and the State Police inside wearing their blue-grey uniforms.

 Police took their places on each side, along the entire parade route.

 We were told by a police officer that this was a State Police helicopter, which hovered directly above the route.

 Some of the security personnel appeared to be National Guard soldiers.

Securing City Hall Plaza

At the end of the parade route, City Hall Plaza, where the Straight Pride speeches were to take place, includes Boston City Hall and a large plaza area on three sides of it. The entire area, including City Hall, was completely barricaded and surrounded by hundreds of police. No one had ever seen anything like this!

 This was the only entrance to get into City Hall Plaza for the event. In order to be allowed inside, you had to be personally recognized by one of the Straight Pride staff members. We met many conservatives who came from as far away as Maine to support the event and hear the speeches, but couldn't get in because the staff member didn't know them!
