Letter to the Editor: Both Parties Are Imploding (Really?)

I received this letter form Sam Samos, who responded to my latest Townhall.com article Hillary, Your Party—Not the GOP—Is Imploding. Here’s Why!:

That was a delusional column I just read. Actually, half of the column is correct. The Democratic party is imploding. But so is the GOP. Since President Trump has become the party's standard bearer, that is inevitable. Donald Trump is unhinged, he is incoherent, he has the vocabulary of a ten-year-old boy, his conservative credentials are highly suspect, and he lies like a rug. He is ten times more narcissistic than Barack Obama was. So both parties suck pond water. I fear for my country.

I would have to call the assessment of this letter half-delusional .. at least for now.

I sent Scott two response emails, because I want to try and understand his thought process behind his assessment of the GOP.

Tell me--why do you claim that Trump is 10 times more narcissistic than Obama?

FYI, definition of narcissism:

I am truly stunned by your appraisal.

The Republican Party has trifectas (governor and control of both houses of the state legislature) in 25 states.

There are 4 GOP Governors in New England--and two more will probably be added in New England.

Minnesota will probably become a GOP Trifecta, too.

Yet even putting aside projections, Democrats have been reduced to their lowest representation across the country in state and local offices since the 1920s.

Please explain how these incredible gains indicate that the GOP is imploding. 

I really want to understand your thoughts on this.

Let's see if Scott responds, although I doubt that he will.

Keith Ellison Plays "50 State Strategy" Card--FAIL!

The Democratic Party is in total free fall.

The brand of liberalism, which has actually turned into fascist, progressive leftism has left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.

Nobody wants this anti-liberty movement to succeed in any way. It is completely shameful and disgraceful that The Democratic Party has invested more time and energy in squelching the rights of citizens and promoting illegal aliens.

They want to do away with the First Amendment. They want to reject, suppress the Judeo-Christian moral and work ethic on which this country is based.

Keith Ellison is a virulent, Islamic radical. He has connections to terrorist groups. His racist affiliations were so disturbing, that liberal Democrat Alan Dershowitz affirmed that if Ellison became the DNC Chairman, he would quit the Democratic Party.

It looks as though there are more reasons for individual voters to quit that party entirely.

The part that stands out? The 50-State strategy!

What a laugh!

The previous President chased the Democratic Party out of the supermajority of states throughout the union.

Republicans have taken over 26 states with GOP trifectas. Democrats control only 4 states, and those states are struggling to hang on. They are deeply in debt, everyone is fleeing, and the chances of the Democratic Party having any legacy to stand on is slim to none.

The very idea that Democrats are going to find some way to compete in the vast majority of jurisdictions is just laughable.

So Much Winning! West Virginia Governor Jim Justice Switches to GOP

When I first heard about this news, I was not too sure.

After all, Breitbart simply stated "Report".

So it was still subject to speculation.

But Townhall.com has come out in full force declaring that Democrat Jim Justice, who was elected last year as a Democrat by 7 points, is going to join the GOP:

This is certainly unusual, and it's a bit strange for a politician to switch his party period, never mind less than a year after he was elected. West Virginia has been a red state since the 2000 election, but elected its first Republican senator since 1959 in 2014.

I am so happy.

The Republican Party now has control of 34 governorships!

The Republican Party now has 25 GOP trifectas.

This is YUGE -- and the GOP owes Donald Trump big time for this huge shift in political power.
