Trump admin ends Obama-era protection of undocumented immigrant parents

Trump admin ends Obama-era protection of undocumented immigrant parents

Deferred Action for Parents of Americans children, DAPA, has been embroiled in legal battles since 2015, when it was put on hold. Texas and 25 other states filed a lawsuit to block President Obama's policy which would have granted deferred deportation to nearly 5 million undocumented immigrants.

The Trump administration on Thursday night ended an Obama-era policy that protected undocumented immigrants with children who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, known as DAPA or Deferred Action for Parents of Americans, according to multiple news reports.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly sent a memo to agents Thursday telling them not to follow the Obama-era rule, which was enacted by his predecessor Jeh Johnson in November of 2014.

In a press release, the Department of Homeland Security said that it was ending the DAPA program because there was "no credible path forward to litigate the currently enjoined policy."

My Reflection

Slowly but steadily, President Trump and his team of executive secretaries are rolling back the damage done by President Barack Obama and his corrupt Saul Alinksy Acolytes of Anti-American hate.

DAPA was shut down by the Supreme Court, or at least so I thought.

But we need to see DACA repealed once and for all.

We need to send the clear message to the rest of the world that the United States will not serve as the Battered Women Shelter to the entire world.

We the People of the United States need to take care of We the People First!

Peter Agui-LIAR Vouches for Illegal Aliens, Against Border Security

Representative Peter Aguilar (D-Redlands) has not ceased to push his liberal pro-amnesty agenda, even though the Democratic Party rests at its lowest ebb in nearly 100 years.

What is he thinking?

Does he not understand that the vast majority of US Citizens,  especially in California, do not want amnesty?

They do not want open borders, they do not want illegal aliens to continue breaking into this country and stealing jobs, public assistance, and the lives of our fellow countrymen.

Agui-LIAR needs to be fired, but for some reason, the liberal phalanx of bad voters continues to put this lawless representative into office!

Not only is this man in brazen disregard for the well-being of his constituents, he actually told Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly to STOP enforcing our immigration laws within the United States?

Statement on CHC Meeting with DHS Secretary Kelly

April 4, 2017
Press Release
https://rubengallego.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/rep-gallego-issues-statement-chc-meeting-dhs-secretary-kelly
Washington, D.C. –Today Congressman Ruben Gallego and members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus met with Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly to discuss the department’s indiscriminate immigration enforcement under Trump. Congressman Gallego serves as the Second Vice-Chair of the Hispanic Caucus. He issued the following statement:

“The recent tactics employed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement are unacceptable and Secretary Kelly’s defense of those actions in today’s meeting was equally disappointing. Under Kelly’s watch, ICE agents have been known to stalk churches, schools and courthouses in order to find and arrest undocumented immigrants. His blatant denial of the facts is insulting to the intelligence of the American people but unsurprising given the Trump administration’s aversion to telling the truth.

“We are already seeing the repercussions of ICE’s predatory enforcement practices. The Los Angeles Police Department recently saw a sharp decline in the number of sexual assaults reported by the Latino community. Making crime victims feel like it is unsafe to cooperate with local law enforcement allows dangerous criminals to behave with impunity and threatens the safety of every American.

“As a leader of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, I will continue to hold Donald Trump, John Kelly and ICE accountable for their inhumane and shameful policies.”
