The Desperate Media's Russian Obsession: Why?

I used to love watching the Sunday Morning Talk Shows.

This Week with George Step-on-all-of-us.

Meet the Press (Greet the Dems).

In Los Angeles, I could watch News Conference with Conan Nolan (who played nice with everyone, especially the Democrats who dominate our tarnished Golden State).

Fox News Sunday was particularly worth the wait (and the watch). Chris Wallace is pretty fair and balanced, I think. I also trusted George Will to ask all the hard questions and not worry about making Republicans—as well as Democrats—really angry.

This past weekend, I remember why I have boycotted them.

All I heard about was “Russia, Russia, Russia.” UGH!

Of course, this batty insanity is not a new thing.

Trump Derangement had already ruined the Sunday Morning Circus …. I mean circuit.

These guys were obsessed with every thought word, deed, finger-wag of the Donald.

Even before I was a full-throated endorser of Trump (and not just because He was Not-Hillary), it really disturbed me how  focused, entrenched, enchanted the media had become with Trump.

Sure, they need the ratings, and he brings in the viewers like no one else. The general election debates deserved the high ratings they pulled in. After all, who doesn’t want to see Crooked Hillary getting called out on her crap?

Yet the fixation on Trump took another dark turn throughout the general election season. From pundit to talking head, the tongues were wagging about Russia’s inordinate influence in our election.

The media loved to draw a love-fest parallel between Trump and Putin, as though they were two autocrats who would hold hands and bulldoze the world, civil rights and old.

Some of Trump’s campaign team dropped out because of supposed ties to Russia.

Granted, there are plenty of reasons to fear Russia. Their aggressive “President” Vladimir Putin invaded Crimea, invested in Iran, and intervened in the Middle East.

But have we forgotten that this country has the GDP of Los Angeles County? How many Russians can rub two rubles together to get through the week? And to top things off, the Russian government has censored religious groups, and outlawed evangelism in the country—all in the name of counter-terrorism.

But hey, don’t blame me for noticing Vladimir Putin, who puts his money where he is mouth is (even if it’s someone else’s). Why did major magazines recognize him as an influential figure, more influential even than our current President?

His rhetorical strain of nationalism appealed to many in this country, who are hungry for America-loving leadership. Barack Obama has taken every opportunity to shame Americans and our down-to-earth values. Putin is proud to be a Russian. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a President who is proud to be an American? Nationalism is very much in vogue, especially when it determines the difference between a secure border and living citizenry vs. a globalist idealism which disdains the collateral damage, i.e. lost jobs, lost international prestige, and lost lives (here and abroad.)

Putin’s timely awareness about national identity and cultural integrity cannot be ignored, either. His speech to parliament featured this little treasure: “Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws.  Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges.”

Mainstream Media has turned into #FakeNews

Whether Putin actually delivered these remarks are not, they are attributed to him, and Americans by and large want their President to abide  by them.

But still, why does the press go nuts and draw up stark lines from Moscow to DC by way of Trump Tower? Oh, yeah,: Trump once said that he liked Vladimir Putin.

Yep. He’s a card carrying Communist!

Trump also donated to a lot of Democratic campaigns in the past. I could not care less at this point, since he beat down a corporately corrupt kleptocratic Clinton clan. His appointments indicate a clear desire to accomplish good and Make America Great Again.

No, little press agents. Trump is not a stooge of the Krelim.

So, who cares about Russia?

The media do, see above.

Once again, I had to watch this nonsense from one Sunday program to the next. They are fanatical about this. It’s unbelievable. But why? What is really going on?

They refuse to concede their candidate—and the leftist agenda pushing the national programming—tanked, and big time.

#FakeNews is definitely a thing, and signals the lasting, though weakening, gasps of the Democratic Party’s militantly media-industrial complex trying to shore up its influence and integrity.

And so the morning litany bellowed forth:

• It was the Russians who hacked the Democratic National Committee’s emails.
• It was the Russians who have been pulling strings to falsely induce the American voters to vote for Trump.
• It’s the Russians’ fault that Donald Trump has taken on the autocratic veneer of a euro-nationalist thug.

Actually … no.

Julian Assange drip, drip, dripped the Wikileaks. Yes, he hacked away at the Democratic Party’s servers. But honestly, if the Democratic Party had not been up to no good, they wouldn’t have had anything t hid in the first place?

The Wikileaks flooded the news cycle with truth like a wicked washing machine taking out the stains in the most soiled cloth one can imagine (and I am not talking about Monica’s blue dress from Bill Clinton’s Oval Office).

The Russian hysteria is Fake New on steroids, a stinging and laughable refrain that the media as we know it is dead, and that a new media, a consortium of average joes who can report the news bigger, faster, stronger and better have discredited and marginalized the press, radio, and TV which had lulled us into complacency.

This Russia Complex is just one more reason why We the People won with Donald Trump, and will be telling the Sunday Morning Madness “Dasvidaniya!”

Democrats in Disarry--even in California

The Marginalized Media is running out of stream and bandwidth. They have been all in for Hillary since 2013. Who can forget that ghastly New York Times Magazine cover with Planet Hillary in the midst of a disordered solar system?! Carrying water for the sinking ship of Democratic politics has become the not-so-subtle pastime of creaky Beltway elites and television power brokers. Today, the disillusionment of the Democratic base may serve as harbinger for the Democratic Party.

Their frontrunner is Mitt Romney in a pantsuit, creases with no ease. Bernie Sanders is the authentic outsider this election year: an old, white statist in elected office longer than Hillary Clinton. The anti-establishment candidate is even more established, and until last year, registered as a marginal Independent. Democrats with any modicum of success have to depend on people who refused to identify with their party. What a way to go down.

And that nasty Nevada Democratic Party Convention last week. The Big Three tried to downplay the event. Too late! Internet media sites, whether first or second tier, jumped all over the kangaroo court of a political convention. The Bernie Sanders disarray sweeping the Silver State is now frying the Democratic National Committee. Millennial activists want to torch Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in effigy, since she has been tipping her Medusa-like head toward Hillary Clinton from Day One. Left-wing leaders from the Obama administration have descanted their own discontent, including Van Jones, who would prefer the RNC Chairman Reince Priebus over Little Debbie.

Why? Van Jones: “I wish Reince Priebus was my party chair. He did a better job of handling the Trump situation than I’ve seen my party chair handle this situation. I’m ashamed to say that.” By the way, another liberal Democratic black activist (well, actually 75% white) Shaun White has cut ties with the DNC. Why now? “Right now, the Democratic Party which I have called home my entire life, is deeply in love with money. Consequently, its leaders have supported and advanced all kinds of evil, big and small, in devotion to this love affair.”

What? Democrats selling their souls for money and power? How’d you guess, Shaun?  At least hard-core Democrats in general have to admit: Republicans play fair by and large. That’s why Democrats, even in California, are voting Republican. Yes, the Golden State is the Land of Fruits and Nuts. But red meat conservatives are restoring the political palate once again.

After a week of damage control, and the looming June 7^th primary, the Los Angeles local media had to cover the growing rifts among Democrats. The Nevada Democratic Party Convention was a disaster. The bigger medial fail? A week later, and the Los Angeles NBC affiliate bothered to question the current California Democratic Party Chairman, John Burton.

Big Burton (on Haight-Ashbury, not Sesame Street) has been in and out of Bay Area/California politics for decades. He served in the state assembly, then Congress, then returned to the state legislature afterwards. California Democrats are a strange—and spoiled—breed. After serving in Washington, D.C., they get antsy about power plays, and settle for another extended stint in … the state legislature?

On NBC 4’s “News Conference with Conan Nolan,” Burton actually conceded that Donald Trump would peel away Bernie voters. Another old white San Francisco liberal is the face of the Democratic Party in California. While California Republicans like myself lamented that Ted Cruz dropped out last month (thus stifling California’s influence in the Republican presidential primary), the two Democratic contenders have shown no sign of settling their national dispute.

Clinton has fundraised three times in southern California. Bernie Sanders packed the stadium at Cal State Dominguez Hills: “Open the doors, and let the people in!”

I wanted to go, and asked for some free stuff, but I had to work that day.

Crazy.

Now, back to Burton: “Over 70 percent of the Sanders vote will vote for Hillary.” Another way to spin it: 30 percent of Democrats won’t vote for Hillary. Ouch!

A wide array of Republican backroom leaders worried about Trump. “He will turn off Hispanics.” “He’s racist!”

Blah. Blah. Blah. Latinos young and old (like Mexican-American Huntington Park resident Francisco Rivera) are lining up behind him. Check out this video from a young Hispanics Trump supporter, blasting the Anaheim City Council for entertaining a resolution to condemn Donald Trump.

Now we have the Democratic front-runner turning off Democrats, and in liberal loony California of all places. Of course, Burton had to engage in damage control after the Nevada Convention too. Conan reminded John: “They booed Barbara Boxer off the stage.” Burton’s only answer: “Yeah.  I know.”

Pathetic.

Burton then commandeered the same elitist sneer which has propelled Trump over governors and U.S. senators in the GOP Primary. The San Francisco liberal labeled Bernie supporters “emotional” and “amateurs.” For a state political party chairman, he just played a rookie mistake: don’t hate on your base. Then he trotted out his own lively, immature exuberance from the 1968 Democratic National Committee convention. You know, the one where the Chicago police had to restore order, and Richard Nixon wiped out the Hubert Humphrey in the general election. Democrats are living in the past, with a prologue of division and destruction now defining them at every level of government.

The only sore spot for me—for many Republicans—is the U.S. Senate race. Democrats in Nevada booed Batty Babs last week, but the majority of California voters will face two Democrats U.S. Senate candidates in the general election. Still, with two Democrats clashing, we can expect a budget-busting battle royale from the two wings of the Democratic Party. Republicans will continue winning city council and school board seats left and right.

Nevertheless, even on the Left Coast, Democrats are going to be devouring one another in their determined power grab, all while squandering time money, resources, and liberty away from winnable races elsewhere. From ethnic divisions, to the Golden State phalanx vs. the Washington Cartel, Democrats are in disarray in California.

Kevin De Leon Needs A Lesson (Or Two) on Education

This past weekend on "News Conference with Conan Nolan", state senate President Pro Tem Kevin De Leon was whining about the teacher shortage facing the state of California.

First of all, a teacher shortage is afflicting states all over the country.

However, the education crisis is particularly acute in California.

What did De Leon have to say?

Well, let's start with the uestion Nolan posed.

The moderator wanted to know De Leon's thoughts abotu the appellate decision which overturned Vergara v. California.

This ruling was a big win for the teachers unions.

Yet like the true politician that he is, De Leon refused to answer the direct uesiton, and euivocated about the stances.

"Whether you support the decision or are against the decision, we have a teacher shortage in the state of California."

Now why did De Leon dodge the issue?

If he stands with the teachers unions, he will have hell to pay.

Whether Democrat or Republican, Californians do not like the teachers unions.

Yet they are so powerful in the state of California. They pretty much dictate every policy laid out for the legislature to pass. If the CTA does not want this or that bill to pass, it dies.

Period.

Democratic legislators who agree with Republican ideas and bills have admitted to the assembly and state senate minority leaders that they cannot support education reforms.

Why? Big Labor will take them out!

Of course De Leon won't say anything! He doesn't want the President of CTA breathing down his neck, then flicking him out of office.

So, let's talk about that teacher shortage:

"No wants  a bad teacher in the classroom, but we cannot fire our way out of this problem."

Shame on Conan Nolan for not going in for the kill on this question.

He needed to hammer De Leon for an answer on Vergara.

Does he support good teachers for kids in the classroom, or not?

Should unconditional tenure remain in the state of California? Yes or no?

Unbelievable!

Yes, senator, there is a huge teacher shortage in California.

So glad you bothered to notice.

Want to know why?

Teachers have no control over their classrooms. They routinely endure abuse and disrespect from the students, the parents, and even the administrators.

The testing demands and the bureaucratic wrangling which teachers have to navigate is beyond ridiculous.

Students no longer have the necessary support systems to stay on track. That general remark points to the dire crisis of children no longer raised in two-parent homes. Who is holding the kids accountable at home? Where is the necessary guidance to raise and rear children to become strong and productive adults?

Teachers cannot be expected to take on these demands.

Oh, and teachers are so poorly paid! How many professionals want to work for thirty years, only to get incremental pay increases, without any recognition for hard work or long-standing merit?

Even for those professionals who stay in the teaching profession because they love it, how many of them can afford to live in California? How many of them can buy a home?

Uh, fewer and fewer.

Kevin De Leon is a big Democratic cobarde (coward).

He will not stand up to the teachers' unions.

He will not do what is best for California's kids.

He does not really care about California at all!
