Rejecting Harmon's Take on GOP "Rape Controversy"

Contrary to the left-leaning slant of Steve Harmon’s article about the “rape controversy” of the California Republican Party, the vast majority of Republicans respect a woman’s right to choose as well as a baby’s right to live. Conservatives of all stripes oppose abortion, except in the cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Even liberal talk-show panelist Joy Behar of “The View” does not like abortion.

In contrast, the Democratic Party has an extreme as well as controversial stance on abortion. The 2012 Democratic National Committee removed former President and Keynote Speaker Bill Clinton’s “safe, legal, and rare” language from the Democratic Party platform. The party’s new stance on abortion amounts to “any time on the taxpayers’ dime.” The vast majority of Americans reject this outrageous and immoral view.

Instead of attacking conservatives for protecting the unborn, the media should demand an explanation from the Democratic-liberal establishment.
