In the Biblical account of Cain and Abel, the elder brother killed the younger because the younger pleased God with a perfect sacrifice. As a punishment, God drove Cain from His presence.
In California and the United States, we have witnessed the failure of elder statesmen to rein in Big Government, which is reigning over us with undue force while raining down debt and deficits, both of which are driving down the economic recovery while driving up regulation and taxation.
The force of Big Government must be driven out. Voters must not allow elitism and statism to sacrifice our future for the politicians’ present comforts to please partisans and special interests. It is time for the voters to drive out these big-spending and unaccountable “elder” legislators from our midst.
Because of Abel’s tenacity in Sacramento to author and submit Proposition 14, now every voter has a bigger say in who represents them in the statehouse and in Washington, no matter which party he or she belongs to. The younger brother contesting the 24th Congressional district, Abel Maldonado, has ably demonstrated his dedication to compromise, consistency, and character in the state of California. We need his concentrated consistency in Washington, a win for every voter in the Golden State.
This modern-day Abel has pleased the voters many times. His well-experienced efforts and intentions will bring results for the Santa Barbara region of Southern California and the country.
To the voters of the 24th Congressional district, please elect State Senator Abel Maldonado.
