Thomas Kinkade, a prolific artist whose work hung in the homes of millions and inspired peace and tranquility for many, has died.
An artist who enter international commercial trade, acquiring multi-millions in wealth for the value of his work, Kinkade inspire jealousy in rival artists, who dismissed his work as kitsch and campy, smarmy scenery for simple saps.
No matter what the quality of these works, the "Painter of Light" profusely glowed wherever he went. Even though his private life did not reflect the same peace projected in his art, Kinkade demonstrated a capacity to inspire without intimidating.
Despite the lengthy obituary printed by the LA Times, which characterizes Kindade as a mixed-up many who used his faith as a means to make money, Kinkade demonstrates that even believers fail, that God did not call righteous men and women, but sinners to repentance, to change their mind about themselves as abject failures, and instead to witness the glory of God by the Power of the Holy Spirit exuding God's grace through believers born again.
Mr. Kinkade commanded wealth, faced great trials and failures, yet he accomplished great things, too. Faith is not about physical perfection worked up by man, but spiritual perfection from God working down and through His creation who believe on Him.
