Libya and Illegal Immigration

Nations all over the world are struggling with massive migration patterns, many of which are now harming countries in the midst of political upheaval and economic turmoil.
Following the deposition and demise of Moammar Gaddhafi, the Libya Transitional Council has established Sharia law and expelled the remaining Jewish expatriate, who attempted to reopen the Tripoli synagogue. The Mediterranean nation remains one of the wealthiest countries in Africa, relative to the immense poverty which has gripped the continent for years. The growing influx of migrants workers searching for work has not abated, but the tragedies and horrors which await these employees has instigated growing concern among civil rights groups.

Residents of Sub-Saharan Africa seek a better life. If the Western countries stopped sending humanitarian aid, then dictators would have less money to play with and invest in their military arsenals.

The African continent needs freedom, not just democracy. The people living in one of the most impoverished areas of the world need to depend less on the government, more on private investment. When tribal mentalities work their way into the throngs of government, then nothing but corruption ensues, wasting precious resources and tax money. When the different nation states begin respecting the rule of law for all residents, then nations will witness an ecumenical tranquility, which will afford some stability to a continent which has endured political unrest for so long.
