Romney and the NRA --

The National Rifle Association commands one of the largest lobbying arms in Washington, D.C.

And it shows. No matter how bitterly American cling to their guns and their Bibles, the President is keeping his hands off the American people's firearms.

Mitt Romney is warming up the NRA, a presumptive nominee who will not have to back-paddle as strongly from a more moderate stance while serving as Governor of Massachusetts.

No matter how checkered his record on guns, ownership, and the Second Amendment, Romney will not cross an interest group which has fired off some remarkable victories in the last term, including broadened support for individual gun ownership and limits on the powers of municipal governments to limit gun ownership.
