Celebrated, or rather denigrated, D-List actress Kathy Griffin is taking on the talk-show format.
She wants to get in trouble, as she is attracted to such media types who stir up controversy.
If the rise of media hype has spurred on little else, it would be the increasing difficulty that media hounds face in trying to get and keep attention to themselves.
Kathy Griffin is now mediocre in her quest for audacity. The only outrage left to pawn off on wearied viewers remains her empty commitment to showcasing her mediocrity. Like a two-year banging pots just to get Mommy and Daddy's attention from the new baby in the family, Griffin resorts to raunchy and vulgar character assassination, the ribaldry of which has desensitized many of her followers.
Comedy has been about exposing the uniqueness and oddity in everyday life. The D-List actress has so cheapened even the most meaningful and valuable, or even the most offensive things in our culture, that nothing but the blandness of her observations remains.
