Trump is Not a Threat to Democracy, Unless You Count His Do-Nothing Tenure

Former President Donald Trump is not a threat to democracy. He is not a dictator by any stretch. In fact, when he had the power to restore law and order in the country (not just tweet about it), he didn't do anything.

Dictators dictate, not rely on empty diktat to give the impression that they are doing something.

He was a weak leader, especially during the last year of his Presidency.

He didn't take charge of the corruption, and he didn't clean out all the crap in Washington DC.

In fact, too much of his authority and decision-making, he delegated to other people.

We got tax cuts because then-Speaker Paul Ryan wanted to get the tax cuts through.

We got better justices because the Federalist Society provided an excellent list of judicial nominees.

Would that Trump had brought in someone like Kris Kobach or Pat Buchanan to take care of immigration policy, this country would have been in a better place.

Now, check out how Governor Ron DeSantis slams Trump perfectly on this issue of inaction:

Indeed, Trump got rolled, but here's specifically what DeSantis said:

"I think Donald Trump didn't take some of the action he could have constitutionally taken. I look back: 'What didn't he do?'"

Then DeSantis lists the fact that Trump didn't build the wall, he didn't fire bad people, and he didn't really break the administrative state. "He deferred a lot of his presidency to these people that he now criticizes."

And you've gotta love Steve Deace's sharp take on everything, too!

Somewhate off-color, but the truth must be told. Trump got taken to the cleaners. He was ruled over, and over-ruled by, bad people in the White House. He brought them into his inner circle! He let bad people come into the inner workings of the executive branch, and too many of them put their own little, petty interests ahead of the well-being of the country.

The more I look back on the Trump Presidency, the more I see a Reality TV Show host who was in it for the fame, the glam, the glory. He wanted to take nice photos of himself in front of leaders, heads of state, etc. But he was not interested in actually governing.

And that's where Governor--yes GOVERNOR--Ron DeSantis steps in to stand in the gap, to fill the void.

If you think I am being too hard on Trump, listen to him admit that he "stood by and watched" the major cities in our country burn:

Trump stood by and just watched. He allowed police stations burn to the ground. He allowed autonomous zones to spring up in major cities, as well, which permitted outright lawlessness in their boundaries. How many innocent lives died? How much corruption and dysfunction did Trump allow to fester in these cities without taking any action at all?

In stark and welcome contrast during the George Floyd riots of 2020, Gov. DeSantis took charge immediately, shut down violent protests, and even called a special session of the state legislature to stiffen penalties for rioting in the state of Florida. That is leadership.

For the record, shortly after his own inauguration, Argentina's President Javier Milei has issued clear orders and directives against violent, disruptive protests in his country. He has gone so far as to threaten protesters, individual and group, with costly fees if they force the government to come out in large number, in force to protect the country.

That's the promise that governments should make the general public when law and order is threatened in the streets. DeSantis got the job done in Florida, and Milei is getting the job done in Argentina. That is leadership! Trump's tenure was marred by his inaction and his do-nothing stances throughout 2020. Not acceptable. We can do better, but no one should call Trump a dictator!

Reseda Town Hall with AG Becerra: We Got Another Runner!

For this town hall, held at Reseda High School in Reseda, the Valley section of Los Angeles, I wanted to ensure that Becerra answered all questions and everyone go to hear his answers.

For some reason, this statewide officer has no interest, no willingness to listen to constituents or answer their questions. Let's tell the truth, though, about his frequent visits to different sections of the state. Becerra is campaigning for re-election, nothing more, and he is using the California State Attorney General's office to push a destructive, regressive, anti-Trump agenda.

He has lost numerous cases while suing to stop the Trump Administration, and let's hope that we can knock him out so that he does not get re-elected in 2018.

This town hall was hosted with Assemblyman Matt Dababneh, who is trying to show himself having bipartisan credentials, so that he fight back against Republican and Democratic challenges for his seat in 2018. Susan Shelly almost won the seat in 2013 during a special election, but she lost by a razor thin 200 votes.

When I started talking with members of the audience, I found that there were a number of people who shared views similar to mine. One man commented that he had worked hard for nearly 50 years, saved his money, ensured for his retirement, and despised the state government for stealing his money and handing it out to local and county governments which refuse to budget properly.

Here is the first, extended video I had recorded at the Dababneh--Becerra town hall:

The best line from him? "Health care is not a human right."

Thank you. It's a commodity, a good,  a service.

Steve Crowder helps explain the crucial difference among these different terms:

There were some natty young people there who wanted to fight with us, but I also met other residents in the Valley area who supported Donald Trump and hated the illegal immigration, the high taxes, and the poor services offered by the state of California. Pensions, potholes, and problems galore, and the Democrats just want to give us more!

Enough!

Matt Dababneh held court for a great period of time. As often happens with the Brad Sherman town halls, Dababneh spent more time touting his legislative accomplishments than listening to questions or hearing the concerns of his angry, frustrated constituents.

Finally, Becerra showed up, and then Dababneh and company launched into more presentations and awards.

I was really frustrated at that point, and I called out "Question! Ask a question."

Becerra actually received one of my own. "Will you sue colleges which refuse to protect the First Amendment?"

Unbelievable but true, he refused to speak to my concern, which is that colleges and cities connected to them refuse to defend protesters and demonstrators who want to exercise their First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and assembly.

The most egregious example of this lately occurred at UC Berkeley, when I was chased down the street, my hat, cape, and glasses were stolen, and then I was pepper-sprayed and glitter-bombed.

It was really bad for me, and worse for others, including a cameraman who got beat up!

Becerra wanted to shame us Trump supporters and call us rude.

The only reason I shouted out at him was that he refused to answer my question.

Other members of the audience were angry because Becerra is not working with ICE enough. Let's not forget that he wants to stop the border wall and protect young illegals rather than enforce the federal immigration laws in cooperation with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The outrage reached a fevered pitch when Becerra chose to run away rather than face us.

I could not believe that we had to endure this!

Of course, we refused to simply let Matt Dababneh get away with raising our taxes, reducing the penalties for knowingly infecting someone with AIDS, and turning California into a sanctuary state for illegal aliens:

Dababneh realized that he was surrounded, and that angry constituents were not going to tolerate being ignored and pushed aside as though they do not matter.

After he fled the scene, LA County for Trump celebrated yet another victory of the people against corrupt, arrogant, and undocumented politicians.

They have no good traits which I can mention!

Final Reflection

I was really impressed that there were many other like-minded people in the audience along with all of us. The anger from overburdened, exasperated California voters has reached a feverish pitch, and we are not going to put up with all of this abuse any longer.

Enough is enough. For myself, I cannot tolerate these elected officials pissing on my leg and telling me that it's raining. The state of California is in a bad state, and we California citizens want this state to remain in a strong viable state for ourselves and our future.

I was born in California, raised in this state, and I cannot think of any better place in the world to live. It's wrong, it's a total criminal for these represents, whether by district or across the state, to steal our money, abuse our rights, and destroy our quality of life.

I was really pleased that people came up to me after Becerra and Dababneh shut down their meeting to call out Becerra for ignoring illegal immigration. I have met at least two Democrats from the West Valley who voted for Donald Trump! This is incredible!

It's time that more citizens, more angry Californians started rising up and taking on the rampant evil from our state and locally elected representatives! Nothing can hold us back!

Downey Courthouse: My Name Not on Criminal Calendar?!

In Huntington Park, CA on June 6th, 2017, I was arrested for no good reason.

I was cited out after a two-hour stint in the Huntington Park jail cell.

The police also seized my cellphone.

The next day, I got my cellphone back, but why did they seize it in the first place? They had to have probable cause to break into it in the first place!

I was cited for two misdemeanors

148(a)(1)
403

I did not disrupt the meeting, and the police officer's order was unlawful.

They city council was trying to deprive me of my just and right attendance in a city council meeting.

Yes.

Incredible, and I did not even disrupt the meeting. Incredible.

Did the Huntington Park police department understand the danger they were putting their reputation under by arresting me?

The city council even lied on their minutes about what happened in the city council meeting on June 6th!

So ...

Off to Downey Court I go ... or rather went.

I showed up, and I was not listed on the criminal calendar at all!

My name was supposed to appear on a list as part of a criminal calendar.

Lo and Behold ... my name was not listed there at all!

What is going on?!

Sanctuary School Campuses? No Such Thing, Even for Legal Students

President Trump is not playing around. He ran on a platform of Law and Order platform.

And he is following through on these clear-cut expectations. No more rioting. No more disregard for the rights of citizens.

Enough with the gutter class of the utterly lawless getting better treatment than the law-abiding.

Of course, the adult children, demonized from lack of discipline, in California's State Legislature refuse to do what they are told. It's time for the President to put all of them in a corner, followed by a spanking, then sent to their rooms early without dinner.

Check out what the anti-professional Los Angeles School Board is doing right now

LAUSD President on ‘sanctuary city’ order: Trump’s administration ‘iscoming for us and it affects all of us’

Following President Trump’s vow to cut funding to “sanctuary cities,” school districts providing similar protections to undocumented students and their families wondered if they too might fall in the administration’s cross hairs.

Human beings are not "undocumented". They are illegal. It's a pretty simple concept. Of course, education in Los Angeles ensures that no one can understand even the simplest of concepts.

California’s schools receive billions in federal grants to support special education, low-income families and English learners. Cuts to federal funding could devastate schools already struggling with tight budgets, according to Steve Zimmer, president of the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest in the nation.

Cut the funding! Take a chainsaw to every corrupt, disrespecting institution in the state of California which refuses to respect federal law and protect our borders.

More than $700 million of LAUSD’s nearly $8 billion budget comes from Washington.

Then do your job, Zimmer and Co, and cut the illegal immigration crap NOW!

This contagion of lawlessness does not stop with LAUSDL

In Pasadena’s Unified School District, officials said they would not allow U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement on to school campuses unless legally required.

A sharp cut to federal funding could “bankrupt” schools in the Bassett Unified School District, a tiny mostly Latino school district in east Los Angeles County. More than 20 percent of the district’s budget comes from the federal government.

Here's an idea -- obey the law! Any school district which harbors illegal aliens and enables illegal immigration loses their money. Period. This perverse drain on public funds must end. It's time for our public, taxpayer-funded institutions to put the needs of Americans first.

Schools are for citizens. If we want to Make Education Great Again, then it's time to stop allowing illegal aliens and their children to fill up our classrooms, especially since they are not abiding by our laws and not paying taxes to cover for their presence in our classrooms.

Of course, Los Angeles Unified, Pasadena Unified, and even Bassett Unified have no interest in complying with federal law. They want the money which comes from student attendance, regardless of whether they are legal or not!

By the way ...

Schools are not sanctuaries to begin with. They are overrun with disciplinary problems, lack of enforcement, unruly students, and frazzled teachers. Add to this ugly mess the timid, self-serving administrators more interested in the next promotion, who do not want to ruffle feathers and want to prop up the test scores through creative reporting.

Teachers are not allowed to teach, in many cases because of destructive political correctness which prevents teachers from holding students accountable just because of the color of their skin. This is amother form or racist, the soft bigotry of low expectations, in which teachers and administrators let black and Hispanic students get away with unruly behavior because they are inherently disadvantaged.

Why about the rights of all students to learn? What about the rights of all students to teach?

Where All Californians Go: Texas

I visited Houston, Texas earlier this year. The city is beautiful, clean, without tent cities of arrogant homeless crowding the sidewalks (that’s a allusion to the devil-possessed city of Los Angeles).

Houston is one of the bluest section of Texas? The Democrats can’t do much damage. Congressman John Culberson (who is picking up steam to ban sanctuary cities—finally!) represents a part of the city! The openly lesbian mayor Anise Parker tried to force San Francisco-style “non-discrimination” statutes on the city—which meant that men could enter women’s bathrooms, and bakeries would have to prepare wedding cakes for homosexual weddings, regardless of the conscience of the business owner.

But Texans are not San Franciscans, and even the residents in the city punched back at this immoral ordinance.
The Houston Five

The Houston Five—a team of pastors in the city—rallied the churches throughout the city and across the state. The mayor and her LGBT-bullying ilk tried to push confusing language. Twice the Houston team went to court to have the question written clearly and properly. Like the skewed polling and biased reporting during the Brexit campaign and the Presidential election, the press published poll after polling showing the “No” vote losing by double digits.

On Election Day, the ordinance lost by double-digits.

That was in 2015.

Today, with President-Elect Trump ready to assume power, blue states are doubling down on their liberal insanity, with no regard for the law, but full attention paid to George Soros and the left-wing special interest infiltrations into our country.

Texas is booming. Who knows what will happen in ten years, or even in six, as Texas gains three or four more House seats while California stagnates, or perhaps loses a Congressional seat for the first time in its history.

Late October was a warm 87 degrees from day to day. Not sure what to make of the weather, and not sure I could handle it.

I also met so many Californians in Texas.

They moved to the Lone Star State ten or twenty years ago. Even then, they could not afford their own home. The housing crisis has only gotten worse.

I ran into another friend of mine two weeks ago. Apparently, he had already moved to Texas nine months prior. He bought a home--large, welcome--for a mere $200,000. Incredible! He let his daughter live in the home owns in Torrance. If he wanted to, he could sell the California home for $700,000 easy.

Friends in Hermosa Beach could sell their home for twice that amount. They would still have money left over to invest after buying one (or two!) more homes if they wanted!

Californians are fleeing just about everything in California.

No jobs.

Crumbling infrastructure.

High costs of living.

Overpriced housing market.

Arrogant political class.

Millennials are fleeing Los Angeles. College graduates take jobs in other states, where economic growth is not measure in welfare payments.

Californians get wait to leave, it seems. If factors don't improve, I may be joining the Golden State flight to Texas very soon, too!
