Revelations from The School of Life

Selection from The School of Life

What happens to a child who is not loved properly? The answer one might expect is that they start to hate the person who doesn’t give them the love they need.

Lots of people do hate their parents, do not forgive them. That is a double-tragedy.

Far from it. The reality is that the child becomes filled with shame. What is shame? A sense that one is profoundly unworthy, dirty, soiled, sinful, ugly, embarrassing - and also, in danger; a fit subject of attack and ridicule by strangers. The child is unable to redirect the blame outward: it does not ask: ‘What is wrong with my parents for not loving me adequately?’ It simply wonders in a forlorn way: ‘What have I done wrong in order to have ended up on the receiving end of my parent’s disapproval?’

This is a profound revelation, if there ever was one! Yes, children do not turn around and start blaming their parents for being terrible parents. They will instinctively, automatically start blaming themselves. It's really striking.

A primitive fear of abandonment kicks in. The child prefers to attack itself for being bad than to confront a yet more awful possibility: that it is entirely dependent for its well-being on inadequate and unkind parental figures.

This shock occured to me when I was a child. It's tough to write about, but I can share generally that I understand the sentiment.

The child searches assiduously for explanations for the lack of love it has to endure - and comes to all the wrong answers. It might conclude: ‘I have not been impressive enough.’ And therefore it may undertake enormous efforts to prove to itself and harsh outsiders that it does - nevertheless - deserve to exist. At school, it might try seven times as hard as any other child to show that it is clever and ‘good’. Later on, the shamed child might turn into the over-achieving adult who works relentlessly for money and status in order to escape appalling feelings of being invisible.

As a rule, children blame themselves for not being good children. In their minds, there is no way that "mom and dad are wrong." That is too painful, too traumatic for children, since they are so dependent on them in the first plcae.

This conflict describes what I went through when I was younger. The trauma was considerable, and quite painful. I tried my best to be a "good boy," and I hoped that that would be enough. Of course, in the real world, being a "good boy" is really not all that good in the first place. There are so many bad people doing bad things, and you have to stand against this evil in every way possible. Being "nice" never works, and we have had decades of nice around the world allow utmost evil to take precedence.

Or else, the child may go down an anti-social route and graffiti the nearby underpass, as a desperate way of giving outward form to a feeling of badness it is tortured by inside.

I did not go into this route. I did not rebel against society in such a bold fashion, that's for sure. Sometimes, I think it might have been better for me if I had rebelled more against bad teachers in high school. Some of other kids did that, AND that got better grades than I did and went to better (?) colleges than I, too.

At the very least, they were having more fun, because they were not living under law.

There is so sadly no way out from the burden of shame available either by trying to be extremely good - or extremely bad. The only solution is to work against the grain of forgetting in order to perceive, for the first time, an awful possibility that one could never perceive as a child: that one has done nothing wrong at all, that wrong was done to one.

This revelation was not at all painful for me when I realized that I have a Loving Heavenly Father who is watching out for me all the time. When I realized that I was cared for all the time, no matter what; when I learned to rightly divide the word of Truth and receive the grace of God in greater measure, it was easier for me to stand away from past experiences and look at them objectively.

And I could see, at last, that it was my parents who were wrong.

I can forgive them all their failures, and I can confront the fact that for all their holy talk and nice-nice going to church once a week, and then going to men's prayer groups or men's breakfasts on Saturdays, my dad did not know the Gospel, and my mother was in bondage to a cult.

I am so glad that I am free of their lies, and I will never have to live in bondage to them again. Thank you, Jesus!

More West Torrance High School Weirdness: LGBT Inclusion Sheet Passed Around to the Teachers

For the last three weeks, I have been getting tips and more complaints about what is happening in Torranec schools.

Parents, students, and everyone in between is letting me know that teachers are pushing the whole LGBT indoctrination with full force into the public school setting.

The latest tip is a "Student Inclusion" worksheet passed around in West High School with a whole bunch of LGBT terms. Two pages of LGBT confusion, indoctrination, grooming, and outright nonsense is circulating around at West High School.

A parent shared with this me, and another resident informed me that this was a "teacher initiated" program, not necessarily something from the official school administration. Still, why is this permitted to circulate in the first place? Do we really need more grooming, indoctrination, and abuse in the government school system?

Torrance is (suppoed to be) better than this.

What is the teaher all about including, anyway? Sexual confusion and degeneracy. And people wonder why California students are falling far, far behind:

Here's the introdutory paragraph at the top of the sheet:

We'd like to thank you for letting us inform you of some of the things we'd like to see change [sic] at West. We hope this will help every student feel comfortable, safe, included, seen, accepted, and supported in your classroom. As teachers, you have the power to make this possible for all of us.

Here is [sic] some vocabulary terms asd [sic] well as some key themes that we feel would be helpful for you:

First of all, I am struck by the bad grammar and spelling. Do any of the teachers at West High School use spell-check? Do they even bother to edit their writing?

Here's a close-up of all the columns:

I don't see the word "abuse" on this page, but that's perhaps because the whole page is abuse.

I also don't see the word "grooming" or "indoctrination," but once again that's only due to the fact that that the whole page is dedicated to grooming and indoctrination.

And there's a second page:

And here's a close-up of the content on page two:

Some vocabulary that is not included: straight, heterosexual, traditional marriage.

So much for being inclusive ...

The text at the bottom of the page may be hard to read:

Here are the More important notes written out in full:

  • It's always okay to ask if you forget (pronouns, names, labels, matters of privacy, etc) but please ask privately
  • What if you mess up? - Simply and quickly correct yourself. You can repeat the sentence with the right name and/or pronoun set and move on.
  • Chance to inclusive language - Instead of "ladies and gentlemen" or "boys and girls" you can say "everyone", "folks" etc so that every student feels included and seen -- Instead of repeating "he or she" "him or her" "his or hers" you can use the pronoun set of "they", "them," and "their(s)"
  • Privacy is important - Some students do not want this personal information to be shared for their own social, emotional, and/or physical safety -- Do not share private things such as chosen names, pronouns, sexuality, and gender to others (students, staff, guardians, etc) wihtout the students' permission -- If you forget or arent' sure what is and isn't private, it doesn't hurt to ask and clarify with the student in private
  • Putting in the effort will be worth it in the end to make your students feel safe, and your effort is always appreciated.
It is really, really disturbing the length to which this teacher is urging other teachers to stress secrecy, privacy, even deception with the students and against the parents.

This is beyond alarming, and completely unacceptable. Adolescents are already prone to confusion and challenges to their identity, and now we have teachers that are actively encouraging this confusion and abuse.

It's time to stand for truth. It's time to put a stop to this abuse!

Gender Transitions on Children: A Tale of Two Governors (By Rohini DeSilva)

                           image.png

There is a new fashion among Christians, even among Pastors:  They refuse to discuss issues vital to the Nation on the grounds ‘they will not discuss politics!”  I have never got a response to my question: “Is there anything that is “political’ that we must not talk about; that is not also something ‘moral’ that we must talk about?”  By our failure to discuss vital issues, we have ceded the public square to the country’s enemies, who are rushing feverishly into the most disgustingly evil abyss – 'aborting' a baby even after it is born; 'grooming and transitioning' underage Californian children w/o telling their parents; and now kidnapping little children from other States and taking them over State lines to California where they can be castrated…. Are we going to remain silent on these issues because they are ‘political’?

This, of course, is diametrically opposed to how our forefathers behaved.  They were Christians.  They founded our nation as a Christian nation.  Their pastors were leaders who protected their settlements; fought in their wars; were leaders in the fight against slavery; were embedded in our World Wars to the point of landing on the beaches of Normandy with their troops.  It was Christians who founded our great universities, hospitals and other public institutions.  It is Christian beliefs, behavior and mores that produced our Constitution and our Bill of Rights that created America, the greatest nation on earth.  Why are we throwing away our heritage and turning into a cowardly people who are ashamed of being white; embarrassed to stand up for our values; and allowing our enemies to destroy our families, our Christian culture and our country?

On the one hand Gov. Don DeSantis, is courageously firing a Soros-funded Biden-approved prosecutor who refused to obey State Laws protecting minors from gender transitioning treatments.  On the other hand, California’s Gavin Newsom is not content with approving a bill that permits a little baby to be murdered any time before birth, or up to 28 days after birth.  Or approving transgender mutilations w/o disclosing this to the Californian child’s parents.  Newsom will soon authorize yet another bill permitting California Courts to take ‘temporary’ custody of underage children who can be kidnapped from the custody of their parents in some other State and brought to California so they can be given extremely harmful gender transitioning hormones.  The FDA has just added warning labels that these drugs  can cause lethal side effects, including tumors in the brain.  Then the little girls are given double mastectomies, have their vaginas sewn up and their thighs sliced up to create a new penis to be attached to them; and the boys are castrated, with their testicles and penises sliced off.

Newsom’s Bill actually encourages the kidnapping and the mutilation of little children and violates the rights of all parents throughout the Country.  It also violates States’ Rights and creates an exception to those who kidnap and transport children across State lines even for the purpose of child sex trafficking; provided they also arrange for the genital mutilation of these children.

Thank God we live in the State of Florida with Gov DeSantis protecting our little ones.  But don’t forget Nancy Pelosi is next in line for President if Biden is removed for inability to function and Kamala resigns.  Pelosi just undertook an unprecedented State visit to Taiwan.  Her nephew Gavin Newsom just visited the White House while Biden was abroad.  Pelosi could easily appoint him as her VP and then resign.  What will you do then?

We have to pray for both DeSantis and Newsom.  But, at the same time, how can anyone refuse to discuss this issue on the grounds it is a “political issue?”  We have to speak out and prevent this evil from spreading across our country.

Somewhere, you have to find the courage Our Lord Jesus showed us when he publicly called out the evildoers:  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, (which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.  In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
