 The historic Beaman Memorial Library building in West Boylston, MA has become a place for children to avoid. But one mother is fighting back.

Sometimes you feel all alone in a local battle. But it’s still important to do at least something. And we can help you do it!

As we all know, even in small towns, libraries have become so radicalized and are pushing increasingly destructive material to children. So, many parents don’t want to take their children there any more. Here is yet another example.

West Boylston is a town of about 7,900 people in central Massachusetts located just north of Worcester. It’s not as left-leaning as most of the state, voting about 56% Democrat vs 44% Republican. Last year, the town selectmen voted 4-1 to fire the Town Administrator because he ordered the police to take down a Trump flag hanging in the police exercise room.

West Boylston’s Beaman Memorial Public Library was built in 1912 and is in the National Register of Historic Places for its Colonial Revival architecture. But if the people who built it could visit it now, they’d certainly be sickened.

Shocking, graphic LGBT “pride” books for kids

A few weeks ago during “pride month,” a mother (and MassResistance activist) in West Boylston strolled into the library and was “greeted” by a display of graphic homosexual-themed books for children and teenagers. She couldn’t believe it.

Books in the Beaman Library for children and teenagers include:

Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe: Explicit drawings of teens having homosexual sex with each other, including a “transgender boy” (a girl pretending to be a boy) sucking on a boy’s penis. One drawing is of a man lying back on a bed with his legs spread while the other man is lying between his legs. Typical dialogue: "I can't wait to have your cock in my mouth.”

Flamer by Mike Curato:  Crude descriptions of “gay” boys talking a Christian boy into engaging in homosexual oral sex and anal sex with them. He then “embraces” his newly accepted homosexuality. There’s a sick description of boys masturbating into a bottle and forcing another boy to masturbate in front of them, or else drink it.

Confronting the library director with graphic medical information

But what could this woman do all by herself? All her friends are afraid to speak out. She contacted us and we worked with her. She wrote a no-holds-barred letter to the library director. He’s probably never received anything like it before!

Her letter said this:

It has come to my attention that the library is displaying a large selection of LGBT(+) books in the teen section. The contents of these books are detrimental to the mental and physical growth of our youngest and most vulnerable by presenting homosexuality / transgenderism as normal.

These books should be permanently taken out of circulation. They encourage poor decision-making, incur a high risk of serious health problems and are rife with pornography. As a hard-working taxpayer of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I object that my money is being used to fund these books.

I have some questions and thoughts for you:

1. Homosexuality is not innate, and no one is born in the wrong body.
2. Homosexual conduct is inherently harmful to the body. Please see the attached excerpt from the Christian Medical & Dental Associations.
3. Would you allow a display promoting drug use or suicide, too?
4. The library should include a copy of a book, The Health Hazards of Homosexuality in its collection. May I provide you a copy?

As the descriptions above show, the library books are very graphic. So in addition to the letter, she provided some graphic medical information to counter them!

She included a few pages of unfiltered information from the Christian Medical & Dental Associations describing some of the repulsive sexual practices and ensuing diseases and other health problems that directly result from LGBT behaviors.

The Health Hazards of Homosexuality brings together information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and prominent medical groups on this crucial subject.

The library director responds

About a week later, she received a letter in response from the library director. It was condescending and bureaucratic.

• He did not address any of the medical information that she included (which is also documented in many other places).
• Instead, he defended having the books there. He quoted the library’s collection policy  (obviously put in by leftist library officials) which echoes the ALA’s talking points. It basically says that the library can bring in any material for children it wishes because parents must have the “right” to let their children see it. It’s up to parents to police what children see in the library, the policy says.
• Moreover, the library has no duty to protect children from pornography on its shelves. “The library will not deselect materials in an effort to protect others,” he said.
• If citizens don’t want any of the books to be there, they can go through the library’s bureaucratic book challenge progress.
• Regarding accepting a donation of our book, The Health Hazards of Homosexuality, he was particularly patronizing and pompous. Even though the book’s material is sourced from recognized medical groups, it was compiled by an “advocacy group” and has not been reviewed by the library’s “professional selection sources.” We can imagine the “professional selection sources” he used to acquire Gender Queer and the other filth the library stocks for children. We’d love to go through the non-fiction there and see the results of the “strict” processes they used.

Final thoughts

Even if you’re just one person, telling the truth is still powerful. It’s the beginning of change.

And it’s also the beginning of leaving your fear behind, which is critical because leftists depend on your fear for their agendas to continue. So even though MassResistance is starting big “fires” of change in many communities, we’re also encouraging small fires everywhere!

 The Massachusetts State House needs to be cleaned out by the citizens!

The Massachusetts State Legislature should be protecting our rights and keeping the Commonwealth safe and well-run. But instead, it spends much of its time creating unnecessary laws and allocating money on agendas that take away citizens’ rights and liberties, diminish the quality of life, and destabilize the social order.

These outrages include:

• Nearly a billion dollars to house, feed, and provide other services to a flood of illegal immigrants.
• An extreme and oppressive anti-gun bill that is clearly unconstitutional.
• Mandating an extreme LGBT agenda throughout all school grades.
• Banning school libraries from removing obscene children’s books.
• Taxpayer funded “sex change” medical procedures.
• Eliminating nearly all restrictions on abortion and allowing girls of any age to get abortion without parents’ consent.
• Criminalizing the operation of pro-life pregnancy centers.
• Free in-state tuition for illegal immigrants.
• Forcing cities and towns to change their zoning to allow massive multi-family housing construction (ultimately for illegal aliens).
• Replacing the word “mother” with "birthing person" on birth certificates.
• Subverting our centuries-old voting laws to facilitate a range of voter-fraud activities.
• And much more.

What do these all have in common? None of it is being done because average people in Massachusetts are asking for it. All of it is being done to please well-funded political special interests. These special interests are skilled and aggressive at lobbying and have agendas that are completely disconnected from the desires of regular citizens. But they have far more influence over our legislators than the citizens who elect them.

At the same time that our legislators are expending so much energy to please special interests, they are outrageously “saving time” for themselves by unlawfully – and unconstitutionally – disregarding the proper duties they were elected to perform.

The fraud of “informal sessions”

The Massachusetts Legislature does something that no other legislature in the country does. The House and Senate both “pass” over 60% of their legislation in sleazy, unconstitutional so-called “informal sessions” that lack a required quorum. It is shocking to legislators in other states when they hear about it.

If you’re a bartender or teacher or grocery store worker, you have to go to work every day. But our elected legislators don’t want to have to do that. They don’t really feel like dealing with all the “boring” bills that they also were elected to consider and vote on. So over the years they’ve concocted a scheme that they’ve now shamefully institutionalized.

Here’s how it works:

The House has 160 members. The Senate has 40 members. The Massachusetts Constitution is clear and unambiguous: half of each body must be present for business to be conducted:

Article XXXIII.
A majority of the members of each branch of the general court shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, but a less number may adjourn from day to day, and compel the attendance of absent members. All the provisions of the existing constitution inconsistent with the provisions herein contained are hereby annulled.

The full House and Senate meet normally only once or twice a month where they debate and vote on the “important” legislation (that most of us dread). These are called “formal sessions.” But they only deal with a small number of the total bills before the Legislature.

Two or three times a week, the House and Senate also meet, but this time with only a tiny number of members (usually only 3 or 4 – though at least one from each party). There is obviously no legal quorum. But that’s where most of the bills before the Legislature get voted on. They quickly go through a long list at each meeting. It’s been pre-determined how they’re going to vote, and everyone votes the same way. (There’s no debate, and no roll-call votes.) This happens all year long. These are called “informal sessions” and treated as if they were legitimate.

 At this informal session on April 11, three State Reps are at the podium, along with staffers and guards at the sides, holding a session before an empty room. At the microphone is Rep. Sean Garballey (D-Arlington). Behind him are Rep. David Vieira (R-Falmouth) and Rep. Donald Wong (R-Saugus). They "passed" numerous bills that day.

How do they rationalize this outrageous charade? They “pretend” there’s a quorum by not formally taking a count of the members present, even though it’s obvious there isn’t one.

Everyone at the State House is in on the scam. It’s a grand collusion between both political parties, all the members of the Legislature, and all the Boston media. They all know what’s happening and choose to ignore it because it’s expedient for everyone.

We once asked the House legal counsel whether informal sessions are unconstitutional. He didn’t deny it; he simply said, “That’s how we do things here.” The head Boston Globe State House reporter told us the same thing.

When we ask legislators about this, even “conservative” Republicans tell us that it’s OK because all these bills are “non-controversial.” The fact that the Legislature is constitutionally required to do the job it was elected to do and properly vote on all these bills, as the legislatures in every other state do, doesn’t even matter to Republican legislators here.

Actually, many of the “non-controversial” bills are controversial to certain people. They deal with home-rule issues for towns, town charter changes, liquor licenses, and numerous statewide issues such as raises for state workers and the recent “move over” law for highways.

But they have one problem with that scheme – that we can take advantage of. If a member of the Legislature shows up at an informal session and announces, “I doubt the presence of a quorum,” then the lack of a quorum is publicly on the record. The meeting has to shut down (until the next time).

Occasionally that has happened! When Jim Lyons was a State Rep, he shut it down for days over secretive funding for non-citizens – and they finally gave in. In December 2023, Republicans temporarily stopped informal sessions by calling the quorum because the Democrats were pushing funding for illegal immigrants in those sessions. Even Democrats have done it. Rep. Paul McMurtry temporarily stopped informal sessions over a liquor license that the Legislature was blocking.

If the Massachusetts Legislature is going to take away our rights and liberties, we need to make them feel the pain. All informal sessions need to be shut down by calling the quorum.

Political experts have said that this will grind the Massachusetts Legislature to a halt. Good!

At the very least, make all the elected legislators actually come to work and do their jobs. Make them go on record that they are present, and how they cast their vote.

We already have one good Republican State Rep willing to do this. But he needs other Reps and Senators to join him. So far, none are willing to. That needs to change right now. They need to feel the wrath of the people. And the crooks who participate in these slimy “informal sessions” need to feel the heat from everyone. The end of all this sleazy government must start now!

The month of June has become an insufferable time for normal people as corporations, schools, governments, the media, and leftists push “Gay Pride Month” into everyone’s face.

Over the past 50 years, Boston (like hundreds of other cities) has endured an increasingly massive and perverse “Gay Pride Parade” - ending with a “Gay Pride Festival” at Boston City Hall Plaza. It’s frightened summer tourists, scared away families, and destroyed the aura of a once beautiful city.

For a dozen years, MassResistance documented the depraved event, sharing photos and videos – and exposing the participating corporations, schools, and politicians.

But this year there was no parade, no festival, and no plans for any in the future. The Board of Directors of the Boston Pride Committee, which planned, funded, and organized it, voted to permanently disband the whole organization. The streets of downtown Boston are (relatively) safe and sane again!

What happened? You can’t make this up! According to multiple news reports, the gays who run the event were being accused of racism by Black Lives Matter (BLM). BLM also accused them of snubbing some of the weirder transgender groups, and not supporting the “entire” gay community.

The bizarre complaints from Black Lives Matter began back in 2015 but were pretty much brushed aside. However, the big eruption came during 2020 and 2021 while the event was postponed due to COVID. Black Lives Matter aligned with a gaggle of local fringe LGBT groups and targeted Boston Pride’s all-white (and “gentrified”) Board of Directors with a list of complaints and demands. This wacky list of complaints (which itself reflects a racist attitude) included:

• "The Boston Pride board has had a long history of poor relationships with Greater Boston’s communities of Queer & Trans, Black, Indigenous, People of Color (QTBIPOC) ..."
• "For decades the board has failed to recruit and retain a racially diverse volunteer workforce. The lack of diversity throughout the Pride organization indicates that the inability of Boston Pride to address issues of racism and white privilege continues to be systemic."

The BLM coalition also persuaded most of the Pride volunteers to resign. Then they began organizing a boycott of the upcoming (June 2021) Pride event.

The June 2021 Pride event was postponed because of COVID. But that didn't quiet anything down. In July 2021, the BLM coalition publicly demanded that the Pride Board resign. A week later the Pride Board reacted by voting to disband the organization completely.

This whole thing isn’t really surprising. By 2020, the City of Boston had become ultra-pro-LGBT, so there was basically nothing left for them to fight for. But left-wing, revolutionary organizations are made up of obsessive, dysfunctional, and irrational people. Without a pressing cause, these radical groups invariably turn on each other. This is typical for leftist revolutionary movements going back to the French Revolution and the Lenin-Stalin era in the Soviet Union. The revolutionaries eventually eat their own.

So here's what you're missing

Since there’s no 2022 Boston Pride Parade and accompanying festival to remind everyone what the LGBT movement is about, we are presenting below just a few highlights from our past reports – to show everyone in Boston what they’re missing!

 Anti-Catholic bigotry seemed to be a big part of every parade. This is a contingent of men mocking Catholic nuns.

 BDSM (bondage, discipline, and sado-masochism) was also a big part each year. This group marched with a giant black-and-blue flag, apparently celebrating the results of their bondage and torture practices.

 The "transgender" movement was a mainstay at "Gay Pride" parades. This man calls himself "Miss Transgender New England."

 This man is typical of the extreme weirdness and dysfunction that public LGBT events bring out.

Final thoughts

We never thought we’d ever find ourselves cheering for Black Lives Matter! Let’s hope that this “conflict” spreads across the country.

MA MassResistance: Help Bonnie Manchester and Stephen Foote!

 

How you can help two courageous people: A teacher and a parent who stood up to the aggressive LGBT push in their middle school.

Confronting the indoctrination of young children - and unfortunately paying the price.

 The Baird Middle School in Ludlow, MA, has become infamous for the horrible treatment there of children, parents, and a teacher who spoke out!

Many people are upset and speak out against the people in our schools who are pushing homosexuality and “transgenderism” on young, vulnerable children. But as we’ve reported in our previous posts about the horrible situation in the Baird Middle School in Ludlow, MA (where the children are ages 11-13), there are two individuals who boldly stood up and put themselves on the line. And now they need your help to continue.

1. Bonnie Manchester

Bonnie was a Social Studies teacher at Baird for over 20 years. She was well-liked and had an unblemished record. She holds very strong principles. For her, a teacher’s duty to “protect children” isn’t just a catchphrase. When Bonnie saw that the middle school staff had brought pornographic books into the school library and classrooms – many with homosexual and transgender themes – she didn’t just wring her hands. She raised the alarm.

 Besides being outright pornographic, many of the children's books had aggressive homosexual (and lesbian) themes.

She composed a letter to the Superintendent and got 18 other faculty members to sign it. When that went nowhere, she submitted a formal complaint to the School Board. Bonnie’s actions were cheered by parents, but angered the school officials. In retaliation, the school librarian filed a formal “harassment, bullying, discrimination, and hate crimes” complaint against her! It was so obviously phony that it was never adjudicated. It was meant as intimidation. But Bonnie refused to be intimidated.

Bonnie Manchester had a spotless record in over 20 years as a teacher at Baird. She laid it all on the line when she saw what was now happening.

The worst was yet to come. Starting in late 2020, teachers and guidance counselors at Baird took advantage of the COVID disruption to introduce radical “transgender” ideas to children. They persuaded kids that they might have been “born in the wrong sex” if they have certain feelings or interests. As the “transgender” confusion grew in some of the children, teachers assigned them opposite-sex names (to “help” them identify as “transgender”) which the other children and staff were told to use at school. All of this was purposefully kept from children’s parents.

In late February 2021, Bonnie saw that a sister and brother (ages 11 and 12) in the same family were now using opposite-sex names, claiming to be “transgender,” and on the road to seeking “gender transition.” She became very upset and informed the parents. Both parents were extremely grateful to Bonnie. And they were furious at the school officials for hiding this from them.

The school officials and staff were enraged that Bonnie had told the parents (even though she’d done what was legally and morally right). In retaliation, the Principal and Superintendent concocted a set of phony “charges” against her as grounds for termination from her job as a teacher – and formally fired her. At this point, Bonnie is without a job and income.

Bonnie has retained an excellent attorney, Frank McNamara, a former US Attorney. During the firing process, he wrote a blistering memo to the Ludlow school officials, thoroughly debunking and disproving every one of their phony charges. But the school officials still carried out the firing. We are told that further legal action is in the works.

2. Stephen Foote

Stephen Foote is the father of the 11-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy whom the Baird Middle School staff had coached and groomed to believe that they are “transgender.” At one point his daughter– whom the school had persuaded to use the name “Raymond” – even got a card in the mail from one of the school staff.

 This teacher mailed the Footes' 11-year-old daughter (whom she called "Raymond") an Amazon card as "Congratulations."

For weeks after the parents learned of the violation of their children, the Principal and Superintendent refused to meet with them. Finally, in late March, the Superintendent agreed to a Zoom meeting with the parents (which Brian Camenker of MassResistance also attended). But the Superintendent was arrogant and refused to agree to stop the school from treating their children as “transgender”!

The brother and sister are now in professional care to help deal with the psychological and emotional trauma they suffered at the hands of the Ludlow school officials and the Baird Middle School staff.

Many, many parents would back down in this situation and quietly just try to pick up the pieces. But these parents are fighting back. A conservative legal group experienced with these issues is taking on their case! On July 20, 2021, Stephen Foote addressed the Ludlow School Board with a very powerful statement informing them, “You are going to be sued.”

Not surprisingly, the unhinged LGBT activists in the area have begun a vile attack on the Footes. It is a frightening window into how these people actually think. They are publicly accusing the parents of harming their own children by interfering with the “transgender” grooming by the school staff. They are also saying that their children should be given books promoting homosexuality and transgenderism, even against the parents’ wishes.

The family is courageously standing up to all of this. But they need your help in this effort. Although the lawyers are doing the work pro bono, there are other legal expenses that will be involved - and also a lot of expenses for the children's psychiatric care.

 A few parents were outside of a Ludlow School Board meeting supporting the family whose children were coached to identify as "transgender." This is what a local leftist immediately posted.

Using social media to viciously attack conservatives is something we’ve observed across the country. It’s time to recognize it for the façade it generally is.

Ludlow is a conservative town. Located in deep-blue Massachusetts, the community voted for President Trump in 2016 and 2020. But as in many conservative places, progressives (i.e., leftists) managed to get themselves elected to the School Board. And as we’ve reported, they have brought lurid pornographic books for children into the local middle school. Staff members there actively groom children to identify as “transgender.” They purposely keep this from parents. And the school officials fired a teacher who informed some parents what was happening to their children.

Local parents (with the help of MassResistance) organized and relentlessly opposed these abuses. Since leftists have no rational defense when they do these things, they resort to demonizing and intimidating parents. In May and June, the School Board used their public meetings to harshly attack the parents.

But as in many places around the country, the relentless barrage of anger and vitriol against those who complained was done on social media, where the bullying went on for several months. Parents were called vile names, and told that they are such terrible parents that their children should be taken away, Christianity is profaned, and more. The leftists are not shy about expressing their hatred – but call anyone who disagrees with them a “hater.”

Is it really an organic “community” reaction to the parents? No. The attackers post constantly to make it look like it’s a community-wide movement. But in Ludlow (as in most other places), it’s actually just a small group of unhinged, obsessed people, including at least one School Board member.

Who are these people? We’ve seen similar types over the years: disrupters of conservative events, vandals who damage participants’ cars, threaten people’s employers, accost you close up in your face, etc. They are sociopaths: angry, hateful people with dysfunctional lives. Normal people would not behave this way.

From time to time we have infiltrated the meetings of people who do these things. Our meetings are orderly and fairly calm. Their meetings are invariably full of shouting, profanity, and bizarre anti-social behavior.

Here are some random posts from one of the Ludlow Facebook forums:

Alex, a 10th-grade student at Ludlow High School, wrote an email to the School Board about his concern that the middle school staff was pushing extreme ideas on sex and gender to children. The leftists attacked him for speaking out:

A father and mother asked the school not to discuss "transgenderism" with their 11-year-old daughter. They said she had some emotional issues, she was in counseling, and they were handling it as a family. The leftists attacked them for that:

Occasionally, parents would try to explain their side of the story. But these people aren't interented in any kind of civil interaction:

The parents simply want to be left alone, but the leftists keep bringing up Christianity:

One parent tried to explain that this was about the school giving children pornographic books. But these people fully support giving pornography to children, and their reasoning is weird and irrational.

They found out that the parent group was meeting at a local Catholic church.

Ludlow School Board member Sarah F. Bowler is also part of the leftist attack group, posting as "Sarah Frances." Below, she suggests that the group harass the parents at their homes and follow them to their meeting at the Catholic church. (Her reference to violating privacy appears to be parents "violating" the privacy of their own children's transgender behavior.)

What you have been reading about the Ludlow, Mass. schools is unfortunately being replicated in cities and towns across the country. What that school system has been doing to middle school children is (in the view of any normal person) reprehensible. Our side must continue to confront this and speak the truth. We will not let a small, dysfunctional group of people denigrate, humiliate, and intimidate parents and others.

The recent resignations of the middle school librarian and Superintendent - after pressure from parents - have sent a message to the lunatic “progressives.” Now, the news of what has been happening must reverberate across the community and be honestly discussed.
