Whatever You Feel, He is Still Real, and Really For You

The name of the game is not overcoming sinful emotions.

Wow!

We can feel pretty much any way that comes our way, and we are not responsible for doing something about it.

We are saved by grace through faith.

Faith is all about recognizing that Jesus Christ has paid for all our sins, and that He ministers on our behalf by the power of an endless life (Hebrews 7: 16)

We are not called to set ourselves up in thought and feeling to receive anything from God, but rather to trust in all that Jesus Christ has done, and the more that we rest in His Finished Work, the more His grace flows in our lives!

Whatever you feel, know that God is for real, and He is really for you:

"31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." (Romans 8: 31-34)

So much of our struggles begin and end with how well we understand where we are seated.

We rest in the following:

Every sin has been put away forever in Christ -- including every bad thought, painful memory, or sense of frustration or anger.

Yes! I can feel as bad as I may, and I know and believe that I am not accepted before God and can bank on His blessings because of me, but because of Jesus Christ, at the Father's right hand.

The fullness of this verse makes more sense to me, now more than ever:

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4: 17)

A better translation reads:

"Herein is loved perfected among us. . " because our love is never perfect, but rather His love is perfected, and our understanding of His love for us grows!

Whatever you may feel, it makes no difference, because your sins are forgiven, you are seated in heavenly places in Christ, and thus in Him you are certain to succeed!
