Focus on Christ, Not the End or the Beginning

"Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:" (Isaiah 46: 10)

Many prophets are focused on what will happen.

God sees all of time, and He set up the end before the beginning.

His Counsel is wrapped up in one Person: Jesus Christ:

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9: 6)

For us who live under the New Covenant of God's grace, we have Christ as our Wisdom (1 Corinthians 1: 30)

What He knows, and who He is, does not change, either:

"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." (Malachi 3: 6)

Not only does God not change, but we can rest assured in His unchanging goodness, and thus never fear.

Instead of focusing on beginning and end in terms of time, see Jesus who is above time, and all other concerns:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1: 1)

John later writes:

"14I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one." (1 John 2: 14)

To be a father is to see Jesus, He who has been from the beginning.

And at the end of the Bible, we see Jesus again, who is the beginning and the end:

"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22: 13)

Focus on Christ, Beloved, for He is above our beginning and our ends, and He knows how to lead you through all of it!
