Despite preaching against the perversion of hard-core porn, to debating the role of the woman in the home, Rick Santorum simply could not peel away enough core conservative votes to stop Mitt Romney. Putting his Catholic "passion" in compassionate conservatism, the unstoppable evangelical lightning rod, who lost his senate seat by double-digits in 2006, inspired neither confidence nor consistency in his dwindling flock of followers.
It's time for the fabled "Man of Steel" to quick jaggin' around, pack it in, and throw in the towel. There are other battles to fight, other wars to win. This election just wasn't "saintly" Santorum's to take.
