To the Voters of Wrentham, Massachusetts

I am a South Bay resident of Southern California, but I have been following the national political scene for some time.

When Massachusetts local son Scott Brown won the Senate seat vacated by the sudden passing of Boston Patriarch Ted Kennedy, I was ecstatic. Finally, the Bay State was sending a limited government conservative to Washington, D.C.

Brown demonstrate compassionate consistency in seeking to represent the people of Massachusetts. He was not afraid to stand in the rain and shake people's hands. He had enough sense to know who played for which baseball team, a theme which exposed the distant elitism of his Democratic challenger, who like her Washington caucus are more dedicated to expanding the powers of the federal government and of their own party at the expense of the several states and the people. Brown was not deterred by his double-digit drag behind Attorney General Martha Coakley, which he and the well-minded voters of Massachusetts turned into a five point lead on election night in January 2010.

This renaissance of small government populism against the monolithic state is a welcome trend in a region of the country which has prided itself on moderation and toleration. I hope that Tea Party advocates, independents, and the many disaffected Democrats of the Bay State remember that Senator Brown came to office precisely to stop the passage of ObamaCare, a wrong-headed and unfunded entitlement that threatens to ruin an already bankrupt nation. With his help, the nation can repeal that misguided law and enact true reforms that will enact more freedom and competition throughout the country in every facet of the economy, including health care and job creation.

To the voters of Massachusetts, including the neighbors who helped propel him from local to statewide office to the national stage: please elect Scott Brown for another term as your Senator.

Thank you.
