ICYMI: CA MassResistance at Ben Allen's Office -- Law Enforcement Tried to Initimdate Us

State Senator Ben Allen has appeared pragmatic to many elected officials in the South Bay.

 

That was the game that he played when he ran for state senate in 2014.

 

He played a more moderate card South of Dockweiler Beach.

 

North of LAX, he was as left-wing as he could be, embracing Henry Waxman as his champion endorsement.

Ugh.

 

California MassResistance showed up to confront the state senator as to why he chose to support SB 1146 the first time.

 

That was a bad vote. He should have voted no.

 

As soon as we arrived (August 19th), we noticed that there was a police officer in the office.

This man was not even a sheriff's deputy, but rather a California Highway Patrol Officer.

Shouldn't he be watching our streets to make sure that everyone is safe?

We are law-abiding citizens trying to understand why our state senator would vote against our First Amendment Rights?

Why would he side with a vocal, abuse minority at the expense of the natural rights of all citizens?

The staffers were very polite, but the California Highway patrol officer kept a sharp eye on all of us..

What is this, a police state?!

The California MassResistance team was unintimidated, in spite of the police state presence in the room.

And it did not stop there:

Two law enforcement officers. What is Senator Ben Allen afraid of?

We laid out clear outrage about that senate bill. We demanded a No vote, and even consideration for expanding protection for religious freedoms.

Tracy Hopkins of Hermosa Beach brought up especially salient points, how the state of California was tilting towards irreligion, forcing out any reference, reverence, or recognition of the divine in our daily lives.

The Constitution is very straightforward in its Preamble, speaking of the necessity to "secure the blessings of liberty."

Without a moral underpinning for our society, we have chaos, criminality, and destruction.

We also reminded the state senator that his colleague in the state assembly, David Hadley, decided to vote no on the bill, so what was Ben Allen's problem?

Call State Senator Ben Allen's office, and demand:

1. Why would he station two law enforcement officers to supervise four peaceful constituents?

2. Vote no on SB 1146!

Latinos Por Trump en Anaheim!

The media love to paint a narrative that Donald Trump is an arrogant bigot who hates anyone who does not look him.

The truth is -- he is not a racist.

I  have seen numerous photos of this man, working with men and women of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and age groups.

The race card is one of the most tired and useless attacks now. I have heard it so many times, and have stood up to it myself.

If anyone was paying attention, the Republican Presidential primary had a far more diverse line-up of candidates, including two Latinos, one African-American, and a woman.

The Democratic Party primary had five candidates, and all of them were old and white.

Of course, the political talking heads and elites in the media are obsessed with these identity politics, when all of them need to relisten to Martin Luther King Jr's aspiration and exhortation, that we would all be judged by "the content of our character."

I welcome that Latinos for Trump community for rallying to support their nominee.

I approve their decision to step up and out, and stump for Donald Trump.

The crowd there was really inspiring.

I almost didn't make it to the rally.

I had so much planned ahead for this Sunday, and I wasn't sure I could put in the amount of time to get down to Anaheim.

In the end, I am so glad that I attended this rally!

Raul has supported Donald Trump from the beginning.

He faced prejudice and hatred from some Latinos, but more people of Hispanic descent are not afraid to say that they support Donald Trump.

I may not have liked him at the outset. I have acknowledged a number of times that he was not my first choice.

But that does not mean that he is no choice at all. He is better pick for President than Hillary Clinton, and I will not vote for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein.

The man in the center with the white shirt was born in Texas. His parents were legal Mexican immigrants, and he has the same simple expectation that every person who enters this country does so ... legally.

This is not a racist request.

The man in the center did not hide his support for Donald Trump.

He talked about a variety of issues, including the national debt and national security.

He wants Trump to "Build that wall!"

Everyone in the crowd chanted with him: "Build that Wall! Build that Wall!"

Part of the reason why he and many other Latinos stepped up today to speak out?

They are tired of the media lies overshadowing his widespread support among diverse groups in the United States.

Especially in California!

He also blasted the creepy Saul Alinsky tactics of Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, which shames people into silence with the race card.

These proud Latinos stepped up and showed their vocal and visual support for Donald Trump!

This man saw me walking up the steps toward Anaheim city hall.

Apparently, he had been there before the meeting even bega,: "You missed the opening prayer!" he told me.

Marcello Bisarello was killed by a drunk-driving illegal alien last November. What a tragedy, and right there in Santa Ana, California. If our country's leaders had simply enforced the immigration laws, Marcello and thousands of other American citizens would be alive today.

Here he is speaking at the outset of the meeting.

Unlike many immigrants and illegal aliens, he listed the many reasons that he is grateful to the United States of America. This country gave him a new life, safety, a career, a wonderful wife and family.

This is your country, he told us.

"It's yours, too!" I shouted back. Everyone cheered.

She rejoiced that like many minorities, she escaped from the Democratic Party "plantation" a long time ago!

Stumpin' for Trump in Santa Monica--August 27th, 2016

Santa Monica, California does not have to stay a blue city.

True progress is based on freedom, accomplishment, and merit.

The policies that have defined Santa Monica will only hurt the community if not met with better alternatives.

Unfortunately, conservatives have played it safe for too long. Instead of going to blue areas.

It's time to have some fun.

It's time to go where no conservative has gone before -- or at least has not visited in the last two or three decades.

Roger Hilmer of Sherman Oaks was on had once again to sponsor a registration drive along the 3rd Street Promenade.

Before the rest of the team showed up, I spoke with some of the passersby.

Johnnie was not voting for Hillary Clinton, but was not going to vote for Trump.

We did not agree on candidates, but we respected our different points of view on issues.

Mike McGetrick started talking with a street clown. He admitted that he wasn't sure who he was going to vote for, but he didn't like the idea of voting for Hillary Clinton.

He then offered to vote for me for President! HA!

For about an hour, our team reached out to different voters walking by.

Most of them just waved or ignored us.

Some passers-by cursed out or argued with Mike because of his Trump Shirt.

Roger did a great job explaining to voters why he supports Donald Trump: no globalist trade deals which hurt individual countries, and secure borders.

I spoke with a few other people, including a lady named Ellen. She wanted to switch her affiliation to Decline to State, but she was still thinking about voting for Donald Trump.

Before We the People Rising left for the day, one couple approached us and gladly shouted "I am voting for Donald Trump!" He then shook our hands and thanked us for being out there.

It was a good day, and we plan and stepping out more to get people signed up and vote or Trump!

David Hadley Voted No! on SB 1146: You'll Appreciate the Reason Why

Unlike the previous assemblymember, incumbent Assemblyman David Hadley is giving a frequent number of community coffees.

August 27 was a great morning.

Residents asked questions ranging form local issues and tax concerns to the ideological conflicts taking over the state legislature.

He spoke out about the Second Amendment, and explained why he voted for some gun bills but not for most of the others. He has remained a strong supporter of each person's right to keep and bear arms.

At first, I wondered why he had voted yes on one bill.

His explanation cleared up all the confusion.

I never realized how damaging Prop 47 was to the state of California.

Any theft for items worth less that $950 is treated as a misdemeanor, and the miscreant gets a ticket!

No bail, no jail, they walk free after trying to steal something.

These misdemeanor thefts including firearms worth less than $950.

Hadley voted for this legislation, but Governor Brown vetoed it!

HUH?

For me, his best statements for came when he explained why he voted against SB 1146, the "Kill Christian Colleges" bill.

I really liked how David exposed that SB 1146 was not about ending discrimination, but rather about bullying the Christian colleges.

Grassroots efforts worked very hard to lobby and pressure every state representative to do the right thing on this bill.

I really appreciate that he stood his ground, despite the fact that the corrupt Democratic machine in California is going to throw everything they have at him and find any way they can to paint him as out of touch or extreme.

If the Red Cross Says "Don't Pray", Pray Anyway!

I had to reread this story when I found it.

A police officer in flood-ravaged Louisiana wanted to pray for the victims, men and women whose homes were swept away, families whose lives and legacies were irrevocably changed. Even as I write this, I think of Hardy Jackson, devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, who could only moan to the cameras:  “I’ve lost everything. I’m lost. I’m lost.”

Captain Clay Higgins shared with the public what happened to him Lafayette, Louisiana. He visited a shelter housing hundreds of displaced residents. He wanted to help them.

“This flood has been Biblical in proportion, and requires a Biblical response.”

Every crisis we face, we can rest in the promises of God’s Word to find an answer.

Higgins recounted the incalculable losses which his fellow Louisianans had lost in this unprecedented flood, once in 1000 years.

He then explained that The Red Cross was running the shelter, a private firm with a consistent set of rules t guide their operations. One of those rules? People cannot walk around the shelter and offer prayer and support to displaced victims. Higgins was clear: he was offering support, not forcing prayer and devotional activities on other people.

The Red Cross staffers told this police officer, who was not on duty at the time, that he could not pray with and for the people in the shelter!

Outrageous!

Now, there is more to consider about this account. Higgins is running for Congress.

But from others records of what happened, Higgins was not looking for free press or donations.

He just wanted to pray with the people in the shelter.

Instead of support, he received calumny:

Higgins said he was escorted to a Red Cross supervisor who asked him to leave.

“I was told that the Red Cross does not allow spiritual counseling in their shelters,” he said. “The supervisor told me the Red Cross is not a religious-based organization and they don’t allow religious interaction with the residents.”

During the conversation, a flood victim asked Higgins to pray. The captain was obliged but had to do so outside the Red Cross shelter.

“Christian compassion was not welcomed there in the manner I had provided,” Higgins told me.

The Red Cross spokeswoman Suzy DeFrancis offered an explanation:

"There's hundreds of people in a shelter of different values and faith," she shares, "and they're sharing a very open space – and we just want them to be able to have their privacy."

She says Officer Higgins would have been given a room where people could have come to him for prayer, if they wanted, but they won't allow people to just go in and start praying.

Granted, no one—especially someone who is running for Congress and in some likelihood seeking publicity. And yet, there was no politicking.

A more egregious incident casts a darker light on the Red Cross’ “non-discriminatory” practice:

Meanwhile, a pastor in the town of Albany told me that four families left a Red Cross shelter after they were told they could not pray or read their Bibles at their cots.

“They got upset and literally packed up their stuff and came right here,” said the pastor, who asked not to be identified. “A Red Cross worker told them they could not pray or read their Bible in public.”

So, what do you do when an agency, whether public or private, says that you cannot pray?

Pray anyway!

What do you do when an agent of a private firm says “You can’t read your Bible here?”

Read it anyway!

Come on, Body of Christ. We have braver examples set out for us!

Daniel prayed ... anyway!

The Prophet Daniel was a captive youth in a foreign land, probably 17 years old. He was firm in his faith, trust the Lord to care for him. Despite the pressures around him and among his Israelite cohorts, he did not cave to the culture.

When the jealous pagans of the Medo-Persian Empire wanted to eliminate Daniel, they deceived King Darius to pass a draconian decree:

“ … that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not. Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree. (Daniel 6: 7-9)

In short: “Don’t pray at all, or you will die!”

Did our beloved Daniel stop praying? No way!

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” (Daniel 6: 10)

Daniel just kept on keeping on.

Officer Clay Higgins could have just kept praying.

The other families could have kept reading. What was the Red Cross going to do, send them out? Have them arrested? Certainly, they would not face any fatal or capital punishment for exercising their God-given natural rights.

No, Believers. We have a Constitution, by the Grace of God, which “secures the blessings of liberty.” More importantly, we have a new standing and power because of the more important Red Cross, the one that Jesus died on for us. This nation needs to pray, and we should not stop when someone says “No you can’t”.

We need to pray for our Heavenly Father to open our eyes and see His love and goodness. We need to pray in the Spirit, keeping ourselves in the love of God. When we pray with others, let us focus on a true remembrance of God’s greatness and goodness in the midst of theses trying tragedies.

If they say “don’t pray”, pray anyway!

Santa Monica Berniecrat/Anarchist Won't Vote for Hillary, Voting for Jill Stein

I am not afraid of the liberal areas of Los Angeles County.

Republicans, conservatives, and libertarian limited government advocates are going nowhere fast if they do not go to areas where they have not had an impact.

We are doing that now.

Santa Monica is a prime target for me, since the area used to be represented by Republicans a long time ago.

And by one of the most unlikely of Republican representatives, B-1 Bob Dornan!

Last week, I ran into an avid Trump supporter named Edmond:

There are lots of hard-core liberals and Democrats.

But that does not mean our efforts are wasted.

This guy, John, is an anarchist, but he cannot stand Hillary Clinton.

Either he will vote for Jill Stein or he will not vote at all.
