Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard

Update:

I called the Congresswoman's office, and I spoke with a staffer named Talia, who seemed threatening from the moment that I spoke with her.

"If you are coming for any other reason than for what the event is talking about, then you will be removed."

WHAT?! Why was one of Rep. Roybal-Allard's staffers threatening me?

Kim Tachiki-Chin , the point person for the event, corrected the staffer, and told me that I could come and speak with the Congresswoman.

She then repeated a line which I have heard in different forms from people at the local and federal leve: "There is nothing I can do. It is not in our jurisdiction."

The Huntington Park chief of police told me that the city police could do nothing about the illegal aliens because it was a federal issue. Then Staffer Tachiki-Kim tells me that the Congresswoman can't do anything about the illegal aliens appointed to city commissions.

That is ridiculous, Our federal, state, and local representatives are all responsible for ensuring the full faith and enforcement of our immigration laws. The ICE Specialist whom I had communicated with specifically told me to contact my Congressmen as well as the representative on the matter.

I am encouraging all citizens and constituents concerned about the rule of law, the proper respect for our military personnel, and the issue of illegal immigration (including the appointment of two illegal aliens to city commissions in Huntington Park), to attend this military academy workshop, then take the opportunity to speak with Congresswoman Roybal-Allard.
