Bill Maher: Liberal Thug Getting Murdered (By the Left)

HBO illiberal comedian Bill Maher has made millions mocking conservatives, people of faith, and tarnishing political opponents with empty, offensive epithets of racism, sexism, or other repugnant terms.

At times, however, Maher attempts to display a conservative or at least a libertarian side. Last year, he admitted that "the rich" are paying a heft share of the taxes in the United States: "We pay the freight in this country." Liberals love to push Big Government policies, until the state starts stepping on their toes.

In one discussion with an expert on religion, Maher rebuffed his claim that Christianity is just as violent as Islam:

That's liberal Bullsh--t!

Bill Maher: Liberal Bullsh--t

He also slammed the naivety which claims that Islam is a religion of peace. He rebutted Charlie Rose in an interview on this subject, and engaged in a heated argument with Ben Affleck and Sam Harris on one highlighted episode.

His plays to both the left and the right have granted him equal-opportunity coverage and criticism from Breitbart as well as the Huffington Post. This dance, however, has not been helping him lately. Maher is getting marred with charges of racism, and now students at UC Berkeley have launched a petition to ban Bill Maher from speaking at their graduation commencement.

The petition cites a sampling his inflammatory rhetoric, not just against Islam, but against all religions:

Rational people, anti-religionists, must end their timidity and come out of the closet and assert themselves. And those who consider themselves only moderately religious really need to look in the mirror and realize that the solace and comfort that religion brings you actually comes at a terrible price.

Communist countries like Russia and China were atheistic regimes, and killed millions more than have been slaughtered in wars of religion.

Another quote, this time shaming people with mental disabilities:

“But I’ve often said that if I had – I have two dogs – if I had two retarded children, I’d be a hero. And yet the dogs, which are pretty much the same thing. What? They’re sweet. They’re loving. They’re kind, but they don’t mentally advance at all. … Dogs are like retarded children.”

The shame-stirring race-peddler is getting pedaled on by other vocal, irate progressives.

Frankly, the dedicated liberal, the uncompromising atheist, is getting a heavy dose of his own medicine.

Here are some examples (hardly exhaustive) of Maher's outrageous charges of racism:

In one episode of Maher's political talk show, Andrew Breitbart and Michael Eric Dyson argued about Rush Limbaugh's purported racism. Breitbart criticized Maher, and demanded proof:

I found that offensive, that there is nothing in this country that is a worse accusation [than racism]. It's where in America if you accuse someone of racism, that someone has to. . .disprove that."

Maher offered nothing, and Dyson threw out a lengthy, polysyllabic (and meaningless) rebuttal. He tried to connect Limbaugh's critiques of political correctness, and his opposition to President Obama, as proof that Limbaugh does not like black people. The truth is: Limbaugh does not like liberals, and he has excoriated them for years, regardless  of the color of their skin.

On the subject of black conservatives, particularly Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and the marginalization they face in the media and academia, Breitbart received nothing but ridicule from the audience and his host. Inadvertently, Maher and Dyson proved Breitbart's point.

Many times, Maher has blatantly smeared the Tea Party movement as racist:

It's about a black President.

Bill Kristol attacked Maher for racism
The Weekly Standard's Bill Kristol let fly: "That's bullsh--t! Even you don't believe that. You're just saying that."

Maher responded:

I totally believe that. A month after he took office, suddenly white people were very concerned about debt, even though Bush had raised the debt way more than Obama had. I don't remember a tea party then.

Racist to its core. Guests on the show supported Kristol's assertion, and Maher had no proof to support his racist conclusion, plus the fact that many minorities have joined the Tea Party Movement. Perhaps liberals like Maher believe that "those people" don't count. . .

In a recent diatribe about the Ferguson, Missouri race riots with fellow race-baiter Cornell West, Maher justified now-deceased gang-banger Michael Brown and disparaged police officer Darren Wilson (who has been exonerated from wrong-doing following autopsy reports):

'He was committing a robbery and he pushed that guy.'

'He was acting like a thug, not like a gentle giant. He certainly didn't deserve to be shot for it.'

Brown attacked the police officer. The police officer did nothing wrong trying to defend himself.

'The cops, I saw on the news a couple of weeks ago, were wearing bracelets or something that said, "I am Darren Wilson". Why do you want to throw your lot in with this plain murderer?'

Excuse me?

Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson was not looking for a black youth to kill. He did not premeditate any murder. This derogatory attack on Wilson is just shameful.

The truth is that Bill Maher is a liberal thug. He has been attacking conservatives, mainstream American, people of faith, and the overall silent majority which has endured his partisan taunts. Now he's getting murdered in the press and the media, not by the people he attacked, but from the very left-leaning cohorts (like emotional, unthinking college graduates) he has aroused and enabled for years.

And Maher is getting exactly what he deserves.
