I am very happy for Ms. Knutson, the Moorhead waitress who was allowed to keep the $12,000 tip left for her by an anonymous donor. She is blessed indeed.
This little act of charity has given the entire country something to wonder and ponder.
It is wonderful to read about a tip that tips the scales in a harsh world from cynicism to gratitude and faithful optimism.
It is ponderous that the state, in the guise of peace officers trying to protect us from illicit substances, encroaches on private kindness.
Less government and more private goodness is just what the United States needs.
