Defend Washington State Families: Tell Pierce County to Back Off Anti-Family Resolutions

The Pierce County, Washington Council is invested in more anti-family proposals. Tell them to leave families alone and stop with their proposed Stalinist encroachment with the following pieces of legslation:

SR2019-15

and

2019-6

These two pieces bills, if they pass, will allow county bureaucrats to go into individual family homes and grade the parents on how well they are (or are not) raising their children.
Yes, the government would be coming into individual homes--all of them, by the way--and start dictating to parents how they should raise their children.

What could be more ridiculous. What could be more preposterous than that?!

This is a globalist, full-on assault against parents, family, and children.

Contact the County Councilmembers below, and tell them NO! to both bills, and the reasons why (listed bel

doug.richardson@piercecountywa.gov Chairman – Republican (may be on the fence)
dave.morell@piercecountywa.gov          Republican (on the fence)

marty.campbell@piercecountywa.gov   Democrat – supporter of bill
derek.young@piercecountywa.gov        Democrat – co sponsor of bill

Dave Morell and Doug Richardson are key to this vote and I think they’re both waffeling.

Votes tomorrow 4/2/19 at 3:00 p.m.

Vote No for just a few of the following reasons:

1.       Too intrusive.  Massive data collection.
2.       We have parented our children for thousands of years just fine.  Most don’t need more government intervention.
3.       For those who do need assistance, there are already plans available to them.  We do not want more!
4.       No details on how this will be put into place and how much it will cost.  That’s irresponsible with taxpayers money.
5.       We do not want government’s values influencing our children.
6.       Policy was pushed by non-profits who do not share our family values.
7.       Even if we agreed, which we do not, you do not put a number to the cost of this program and how much you will attempt to extract from taxpayers.
8.       We are already taxed more than enough.

CPAC: Cowardly Political Action Committee Bans MassResistance from 2018 Convention

For five years, I have worked with and have reported on MassResistance, an assertive pro-family group which doesn’t run away from speaking the truth about the LGBT Movement. I even served as its California Director, since the Golden State has the most members in the larger MassResistance community.

Here are some of the inconvenient yet compelling truths that MassResistance stands by and shares:
1.       Homosexuality is not an innate genetic trait. There is no evidence to justify the argument that people are born gay. Even openly gay Milo Yiannopoulos has admitted as much.

2.       Transgenderism is a mental disorder. Extensive research into biology and genetics has affirmed that there are only two sexes. It’s not about how you feel or what you see.

3.       Same-sex conduct is medically and psychologically destructive.

4.       The political agenda promoting LGBT behaviors is undermining our natural rights.

Most people don’t hear this side of debate, much like the negative verities associated with illegal immigration. However, the consequences of allowing the LGBT movement to infiltrate the public sphere is upending our natural rights and individual liberties of our nation’s citizenry today. Cross-dressing drag queens lead story-time in public libraries, high schools are learning about “LGBT historical figures”, and little children are learning that gender is a mere social construction—and their parents cannot object to these lessons.

Are you triggered yet? Apparently, The Conservative Political Action Committee was. After promising to allow MassResistance a table to present their mission and activism, CPAC’s Executive Director Dan Schneider rescinded their approval at the last minute. What’s going on? I called CPAC’s parent institution, the American Conservative Union, for answers on this troubling development. One of the spokesmen informed me that they would reach out to Dan Schneider, the Executive Director, and he would get my message.

No one got back to me, so I contacted them again, and asked directly why MassResistance’s approval was taken away. The person who answered the phone informed me that they had rescinded the invite for MassResistance because the movement “neglected to use the language of common decency.” What language exactly? He did not give me any examples. There is nothing which MassResistance has published or said which had violated rules of decency or propriety.

Camenker’s report on the sudden cancellation indicated that Schneider disinvited MassResistance simply because this pro-family group favors an aggressive approach to confronting the public officials who are imposing this agenda in our public schools. They target our children, after all.
This criticism is really hypocritical. After all, as a presidential candidate Donald Trump volleyed some of the most controversial, vitriolic statements at his primary opponents, then at Hillary Clinton.

He got elected, didn’t he? This country’s political culture needs tough rhetoric and clear-cut action, although critics have slammed his speech as indecent or unkind in the past. Moreover, President Trump is going to be one of CPAC’s keynote speakers. If MassResistance gets rejected because of their lack of “common decency”, should President Trump not be allowed to speak at CPAC? Give me a break! Conservatives need to wake up. We are fighting a culture war, and Republicans should have been aware of this fight since Pat Buchanan’s unlikely yet influential primary challenge to George Herbert Walker Bush in 1992.

Now CPAC wants to shy away from the pro-family fight?

I contacted Brian Camenker, the President of MassResistance, and he told me that news of CPAC’s cowardly move is spreading all over the country and the world. Camenker then informed me that the Log Cabin Republicans, a group of LGBT Republicans, are allowed to have a table at CPAC. They are building momentum to normalize gay marriage and transgenderism in the Republican Party platform, and they have fought for homosexual and transgenderism in the United States military. He believes that Schneider rebuffed MassResistance because they didn’t want to offend the Log Cabin group as well as to promote a more “’libertarian” ambiance to attract younger people.

These gestures are not wise. Conservatism as a movement and ideological force must defend natural marriage and the family. Former US Senator and Presidential candidate Rick Santorum authored the book It Takes a Family, stressing the role of Dads and Moms to transmit crucial values and principles on life, liberty, property, and the United States’ constitutional political culture. He has also reminded the public that the Republican Party was established not only to abolish slavery, but to end polygamy, a barbaric practice which devalues women and assaults the nuclear family.

So, Dan Schneider gave MassResistance a formal invite to have a table at CPAC, then they changed their minds. I asked to speak with Schneider, but my request was rebuffed since they are getting ready for the convention. Before hanging up, I let Josh know that when more people hear about this unjustified reversal, they might not have much of a convention to prepare for. I called a friend of mine, informing her to contact the American Conservative Union (or should I write “Conservative” in quotes at this point?) and demand that MassResistance have a table at the convention.

In another telling irony, a conservative association is silencing a pro-family group. Isn’t conservatism all about defending natural rights, including freedom of speech? And all of this is based on some vague standard of “common decency.”

I contacted Dr. Michael Brown, conservative Christian author and speaker, and he issued to me the following statement:

“It is absolutely outrageous that CPAC would ban the presence of MassResistance, one of the few organizations in the country actually doing something to resist the advance of aggressive LGBT activism, especially in our children's schools. This is even more outrageous when you realize that CPAC welcomes the presence and participation of a gay Republican organization like Log Cabin Republicans. CPAC needs to reverse itself immediately with an apology to MassResistance.”

I urge every reader to contact CPAC right now: (202) 347-9388. Tell them to keep their promise and let MassResistance have their table!

Repost the Reproach: The Advocate Attacks Me Again

The Advocate is the pro-LGBT "watchdog" which seeks to shame men and women of faith, as well as conservatives in general who believe in pro-family values.

They love to shame me for my strong, pro-biology views on life and marriage.

In fact, let's adjust that to "attempt to shame me" for my views.

I do not receive their shame. In fact, it's a badge of honor for them to attack me for believing what I believe, because my views are affirmed by biblical as well as biological truth.

Over at BarbWire, Arthur Schaper, who’s known for disrupting city council meetings and political forums around California, called transgender people mentally ill. “Let’s state the facts plainly,” he wrote. “Transgenderism is not a civil right, nor an alternative form of self-expression. It’s a mental disorder based on an ideology which undermines the foundations of our culture, of any society. More gender studies, based in biological research as opposed to social justice sentiment, confirm that the sexual characteristics of male and female are immutable.
“Taking a knife to one’s private parts or shoving plastic bags into one’s chest will not turn a man into a woman. Besides, service in our nation’s military depends on well-grounded, sane men and women who are committed to the greater good of protecting our country and ensuring the safety of their fellow officers.”
I do not uibble or differ with one thing that is printed up there---aside from their bare attempt ot shame me over disrupting city council meetings and political forums. The double-standard from the liberal mainstream media is just shameless. They turn a blind eye to liberals and progressives screaming at elected officials in town halls, but they condemn conservatives for calling out elected officials and demanding accountability within town halls--which are raucus by nature, are they not?

Another fail by the Advocate in Name Only.
Repost the reproach!

Success! Colorado MassResistance Kills Anti-Parent LGBT Bill

VICTORY: LGBT bill to allow children to “consent” to psychiatric therapy is stopped in Colorado Senate -- after hard-hitting pro-family testimony

MassResistance Colorado and others were outnumbered by bill’s supporters, but prevailed

Voted down in Senate committee 3-2

May 9, 2017
This MassResistance Colorado parent finished his unflinching testimony, and right afterwards the Senate Committee voted 3-2 to defeat the bill!
When pro-family people fight back hard and tell the truth fearlessly, they can derail the well-funded LGBT legislative agenda. We’ve shown that over and over again. This was one of those times.
A frightening bill that would allow children as young as 12 years old to “decide” they need psychiatric therapy – without their parents’ knowledge or consent – was stopped in the Colorado Senate on Monday, May 1. The 3-2 vote by in a Senate committee came after strong testimony at the public hearing by Colorado MassResistance and other pro-family activists against a torrent of emotional pleas by the bill’s proponents.
The bill, HB17-1320, had passed in the Colorado House of Representatives the previous week. Had it made it through the Senate committee, it would have gone to the Senate floor for a full vote.

A nightmare for families

As we recently reported, the bill would have allowed LGBT-allied “therapists” in school-based clinics to push vulnerable children to affirm and accept homosexual and transgender “identities” and behaviors as “normal,” among other things. Parents would not even be notified that this psychotherapy was being given to their children.
The thwarted plan had terrifying implications for parents and families. Children are emotionally defenseless and can easily be persuaded by adults that they need counseling “help” from unknown, agenda-driven mental health professionals. These therapists could diagnose and “treat” the children with whatever approach they chose, without knowing vital medical history or other information from parents, or being accountable to them.
The original version of the bill, filed on April 5, set the age of consent for outpatient psychotherapy to 10. But the bill’s supporters got nervous, and at the House Committee hearing they changed it to 12 to help it pass.
Apparently it was expected that the bill would pass and become law. Therapists were already being placed in Colorado’s  school-based clinics, according to a MassResistance Colorado parent who researched it.

Proponents use “suicide prevention” as a lobbying tactic

The LGBT movement has been quietly but forcefully pushing these bills across the country for nearly a decade. They use “suicide prevention” as a lobbying tactic. They get local allied groups to come and give emotional “suicide attempt” testimonies. They try to persuade legislators that parents are a big part of the problem, and thus the children need “independence” from their interference.
They make their case as emotional as possible. It can be compelling to legislators, unfortunately, if not properly countered by good, solid pro-family testimony.

Left-wing activists attack hard during testimony

At the Senate committee public hearing, the bill’s proponents were well organized and their testimony was slick and well scripted.
Fourteen came to testify. They were from various Colorado left-wing social-work foundations  and suicide-prevention organizations, a transgender group, the University of Denver, and a Latino group. Besides activists, they included teenagers, a young child, and a liberal rabbi and a liberal psychologist.

The usual radical groups. This group, Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights, was lobbying hard for the bill. It is also a major advocate for school-based clinics in Colorado.
Most of their testimony included very emotional depictions of personal trauma and attempted suicide. But their overall strategy was to make parents seem like the “enemy” of their own children, or at least too incompetent to be allowed to decide.
They testified that “parents don’t have the resources or education to do what’s right” and “are not equipped to deal with children’s mental health needs.” Also, “parents are often the cause of their children’s stress,” and may likely be abusing their kids. Strangely, most of their testimony was not pertinent to the bill because it related to older teenagers and young adults.

An "anti-suicide" activist (standing) prepares to testify, as Sen. Stephen Fenberg, a sponsor of the bill, smiles at her. Fenberg later told the other Senators that he "doesn't get" the pro-family argument for parents rights.
One of the bill’s sponsors, a Senator, even testified that “parents don’t have the right to be the only ones” who direct their children’s counseling decisions – the State must be included.

Parents fight back even harder

Five pro-family people who came to testify – including two from Colorado MassResistance, a constitutional attorney, and representatives of Colorado Citizens Commission on Human Rights and Lutheran Family Services.
They warned the Senators that the bill allowed for a dangerous overreach by mental health staff at schools. It virtually removed accountability for therapists (to parents or anyone else) and would lead to inappropriate testing, misdiagnoses, and bad treatment plans. It would certainly prompt lawsuits because of the bill’s dubious constitutionality, given the history of Supreme Court decisions favoring parental rights.
In particular, the MassResistance Colorado parents demanded that it’s vital that parents be involved for many reasons. A child is not competent to provide adequate mental health history or other important information. The child can’t competently decline therapy against the persuasive powers of a school clinic or choose a different venue and travel there. In fact, there is a conflict of interest between the clinic’s funding and the fact that the child can be a captive patient.
And there was guaranteed to be outrage over the presumption that parents don’t have the best interests of their own children at heart, or the competency to deal with their emotional problems.
The MassResistance Colorado parents also submitted a letter by Dr. Michelle Cretella, President of the American College of Pediatricians, against the bill. Dr. Cretella strongly advised the legislators that adolescents are not capable of making these kinds of judgments about their mental health and psychological therapy. It was the only actual medical opinion in the hearing.

The committee votes to kill the bill

Immediately after the testimony, one of the bill’s Senate sponsors, Sen. Stephen Fenberg, spoke up and made a disturbing remark dismissing the rights of parents. It reflected the arrogance of the bill’s proponents – and their anger that parents came and confronted this bill. Fenberg said, “In response to the parents’ rights argument, I don’t get it.” He believes that the state has just as much of a right to raise the children. He went on to describe one opponent’s testimony as “disgusting.”
Right after that,  the committee voted 3-2 to effectively kill the bill for this session. Needless to say, the bill’s proponents didn’t like the outcome at all. The parents – and common sense – had won!
