Save California: After the Flag Waving, a Serious Look at Our Troubled Republic

Hi Arthur,

For those of us who have witnessed the steady slide of societal decay and have watched with alarm the ever-increasing occurrences of godless, animalistic anarchy, celebrating the 250th birthday of our country is more like celebrating an ideal than a reality.

For if the Constitution of the United States of America guarantees you freedom of speech and freedom of religion and freedom of self-defense and the right to be fairly judged in the courts, and your guaranteed pre-constitutional, God-given, natural liberties are parental rights and property rights and medical freedom, yet today's American culture threatens, oppresses, punishes, or eliminates your rights and liberties, we must ask: Is our constitutional republic alive or dead?

Since most Americans are government-schooled, with today's universities teaching young people to hate America, we're now faced with many "Americans" who actually hate the wonderful goodness that our U.S. founding fathers gave us.

According to a CNN poll released June 17, 2026:

Only 29% of Democrats are "very proud" to be an American

Only 27% of Democrats said they'd fly the U.S. flag on Independence Day

And a June 19-22 survey by The Economist/YouGov found only 8% of Democrats think the United States is the greatest country in the world. As Breitbart reported June 29:

Opinions vary significantly among political parties. Republicans are far more likely to describe America as the greatest country – 52 percent – followed by 28 percent of Republicans who said it is “among the greatest” countries.

Democrats, however, do not feel as proud. Only eight percent of Democrats describe America as the “greatest” country, while 16 percent said it is “among the greatest.” Stunningly, a plurality of Democrats, 23 percent, describe America as “worse than average” compared to other countries, and 15 percent said the U.S. is “among the worst.” Four percent said America is “the worst” altogether.

And to top it off, a June 30 - July 2 YouGov survey found Democrats value the "Black Lives Matter" flag more than the American flag (74% to 72%).

So, did America really reach 250 years, or is that its "body" only, and the "mind, heart, and soul" of America actually died decades ago -- but with God's grace and patience, has a chance to return and be restored?

This question is neither radical nor cynical. Because historically, the average "life" of a civilization is either 200 or 250 years. As researcher Michael R. Cronin wrote:

The Tytler Cycle warns that democracies tend to follow a predictable path from liberty to decline due to human nature and fiscal irresponsibility, with a commonly cited average lifespan of around 200 years. Sir John Glubb’s later research on empires suggested a slightly longer but still finite average of about 250 years. Both frameworks are frequently used today to analyze the trajectory of the United States as it approaches and passes its 250th anniversary in 2026.

In 2016, writer Reginald Pulliam quoted historian Alexander Fraser Tytler's solemn observation that a civilization's decay begins with forgetting God, triggered by the love of money replacing the love of God:

According to Lord Tytler, a Scottish Historian, the average age of the world's democracies is around 200 years. After two hundred years, the nations collapse due to various economic policies and [are] followed by a dictatorship. Lord Tytler identified "Eight Stages of a Democracy", from beginning to end. The eight stages go from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence, and finally from dependence back to bondage. Life and our universe moves in cycles, and history is no different. So, in our Democratic form of a Republic, which stage do you suppose we are in?

Another valid question is, if the United States of America was founded as a constitutional republic, is it still that today, and if not, when did we lose it?

Our U.S. founding father and 2nd U.S. president, John Adams, a strong Christian, wrote these solemn words: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

If Adams' words are true, it's arguable and logical that America ceased being a constitutional republic in the early 1900s, nearly 150 years after its founding. Here's evidence suggesting it:

1. Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat who was the 28th president of the United States from 1913 to 1921, disliked how the Constitution limited the federal government, so he brutally attacked and redefined the Constitution.

Judge Andrew Napolitano explains the damage that Woodrow Wilson did:

America from its founding to the early part of the 20th century more or less enjoyed the James Madison model for the federal government.

Under this model, the federal government could only legislate, regulate, spend and govern in the 16 discrete areas of human behavior that the Constitution delegated to it. All other areas of human behavior were left free to individual choices or governance by the states.

From and after Wilson’s presidency, the Madisonian model was replaced by the Wilsonian one. Under this model, the feds could legislate, regulate, spend and govern in any areas of human behavior for which there was a national political will, except for those areas that are expressly prohibited to them by the Constitution.

It would take another generation before the courts fully caught up to this, during which they gradually permitted Congress basically to write any law, regulate any behavior, spend any money, tax any event and intrude upon any relationship so long as it did not confront an express constitutional prohibition.

2. Then, Democrat Franklin Roosevelt became president in 1933, and quickly grew a mammoth-sized federal government and eliminated the gold standard.

As Conservapedia reports:

...FDR remains a hero to liberals and heavily criticized by conservatives for shifting the nation to the Left, growing the federal government, imposing regulations on business, following a no-growth economic policy, catering to labor unions, and building a permanent New Deal Coalition. Conservatives further disagree with Roosevelt's concealment of his declining health from American voters in the 1944 election, and Roosevelt's weak stance towards the Communist Soviet Union which enabled it to gain control over Eastern Europe for the following half-century.

His New Deal was a very large, complex interlocking set of programs designed to produce relief (especially government jobs for the unemployed), recovery (of the economy), and reform (by which he meant regulation of Wall Street, banks and transportation), as well as Reelection (in 1936, 1940 and 1944) and Realignment of the Fifth Party System. Conservatives strongly opposed many, but not all, of the New Deal programs. Conservatives abolished most of the relief programs when unemployment practically ended during World War II. Most of the regulations on business were ended about 1975–85, except for the regulation of Wall Street by the Securities and Exchange Commission, which still exists. The major surviving program is Social Security, which Congress passed in 1935.

Conservatives at the time denounced his bids for presidential power, including building a national political machine through the WPA (it lasted from 1935 to 1943), attempting to take control of the Supreme Court by adding new liberal judges (an attempt which failed, 1937), and trying to purge the Democratic party of moderate-to-conservative congressmen (an attempt which failed in 1938). The failures of those attempts can be attributed to the Conservative Coalition which emerged in Congress in 1937 as a coalition of most northern Republicans and most Southern Democrats.

3. And then in the early 1960s, the Democrats and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) on the U.S. Supreme Court killed off corporate Bible reading and prayer in American "public school" classrooms.

Is it any wonder that theft is rampant today? For the majority of American schoolchildren, through the 1950s, were taught the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:1-17 -- until the unconstitutional SCOTUS redefined "establishment" and "religion" in the First Amendment.

As accurately reported here, in 1947, the U.S. Supreme Court redefined "establishment" in order to begin banning Christianity in the laws:

On June 25, 1962 and a year later on June 17, 1963 this country has staggered from a wound that it has never really recovered from. You might scratch your head and wonder what that might be. These two dates will live in infamy in this nation along with one from February 10, 1947. These dates are when Christianity in America was rejected in the public square and in the schools.

In February 10, 1947, the US Supreme Court decided the case of Everson v Board of Education. It changed the Establishment Clause in the 1st Amendment’s meaning from not establishing a National Religion to the current interpretation. The way the US Government treats religion is that one can’t practice it in public. The Court used 8 words out of context of a President Thomas Jefferson Letter that was written to the Danbury Baptist Church in 1801. This decision is one that the US Supreme Court needs to overturn along with the ones above from 1962 & 1963.

On June 25, 1962, the US Supreme Court decided that a 22 word prayer was unconstitutional in the case of Engel v Vitale.

“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country.” — the 22 word prayer that was the subject of the school prayer ban.

On June 17, 1963, the US Supreme Court decided in Abington School District v Schempp that Bible Study could not occur in Public Schools.

Since those cases SAT & ACT scores have taken a nose dive.

So, as we celebrate the 250th "birthday" of our country, let's remember the Bible-based founding of America, which made America great -- and blessed by God.

Because the Bible defines “freedom” to mean a) freedom from the bondage of sin, and b) freedom to obey God without punishment.

This second definition was the rallying cry of our U.S. founding fathers, who desired biblical values rather than the tyrannical theft committed against them by the British Crown. Our founders called this independence.

So, Americans don't need "freedom" as the world defines it (which is to do whatever you want, which is the modus operandi of criminals and anarchists). Instead, we need freedom from sin.

Because, for this nation to be protected and blessed by God again, people need to see the Bible as their standard of truth, confess and repent of their sins, trust in Savior Jesus Christ to forgive them, and experience true freedom from the bondage of various sins.

And then, if most Americans, as John Adams described, become "a moral and religious people," they can give us back our constitutional republic. It's definitely worth fighting for!

A lady asked Dr. Franklin Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy—A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.

From Secretary of War James McHenry's journal of the 1787 Constitutional Convention

Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed."

Jesus Christ, Savior of the world and God in the flesh, in John 8:34-36

What Explains the Current Interest in American Founder John Adams?

(From Google AI)

John Adams is experiencing a massive surge in interest for three primary reasons: the milestone 250th-anniversary celebrations of the United States, his modern appeal as an anti-populist figure who championed institutional stability, and a broader public fascination with his lack of slave ownership. [1, 2, 3, 4]
1. The 250th Anniversary of Independence
With the United States celebrating its milestone birthday, historians and the public are re-evaluating the foundational documents. Adams was widely known during the Revolution as the "Atlas of Independence". He heavily shaped the Massachusetts Constitution (which heavily influenced the U.S. Constitution), championed the Declaration of Independence, and pushed for Thomas Jefferson to be its primary author. [1, 2, 3, 4]
2. Relevance of His Political Philosophy
Adams’s political philosophy heavily prioritized reason, the rule of law, and moral leadership over pure partisanship. He is frequently viewed favorably for several structural reasons: [1, 2]
  • Precedent of Peaceful Transition: After his fierce, bitter loss to Thomas Jefferson in the election of 1800, Adams set the crucial precedent of a peaceful transfer of power. [1, 2]
  • Prioritizing the National Good: He deliberately chose to secure peace with France, knowing it would cost him his 1800 reelection. Historians frequently highlight this as the ultimate example of country over party. [1]
  • Commitment to the Rule of Law: Long before the Revolution, he defended the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre to ensure they received a fair trial. [1]
3. Anti-Slavery Legacy
In an era where modern historians closely scrutinize the founders, Adams—alongside his son John Quincy Adams—stands out for never owning enslaved people. He notably believed that the American Revolution could never be completely fulfilled until enslaved people were completely free. [1, 2]

Brown Supremacists Harass Americans at Santa Ana Independence Day Celebration

Lupe Morfin Moreno is one of the boldest anti-illegal immigration, pro-American activists in the state of California.

And she does this while living in another belly of the Beast, Santa Ana, California. This city has turned into the "Sh*thole" of Orange County. The homelessness problem is overwhelming, as little children struggle to go from school to home and even the civic center library. The homeless are all over the city.

AND ... Santa Ana is a sanctuary jurisdiction, and they doubled down on SB 54 earlier this year.

Lupe spoke out against sanctuary city police at the March, 2018 Orange County Board of Supervisors meeting, too. It takes a lot of courage for Americans of Hispanic descent to speak out against illegal immigration in the state of California. The growing Latino population has become more diverse, however, and more of them are supporting the rule of law and security of our borders. Still, a majority of Hispanic voters are leaning toward promoting amnesty and disregarding the federal government's enforcement of immigration laws.

Lupe Morfin and her sister Angie (whose son was murdered by an illegal alien) are fighting back against this lawlessness. They love this country,  the United States, and they do not want their country to turn into a lawless, chaotic, third-world ghetto.

In Santa Ana, Lupe celebrates Independence Day. She sets up a walkway of history, and visitors can meet with different people who represent the Founders and other famous historical figures.

In the last two years, however, La Raza activists and other Brown Supremacists have been harassing visitors to the main park in Santa Ana. It's unbelievable how vile ... and violent ... these hatemongers have become. Last year, I went as John Adams to the event, and the Brown Supremacists showed up to throw a constant disruption of the event.

This year, they showed up again, disturbing the events and shaming everyone who participated in the celebration of our nation's founding and history.

Check out Lupe's account below, with more information to come:

An American story: about 2005, I came home from protesting and protecting the California and Arizona border. It was American Independence Day and I asked my children if we were going to go to the parade and spend the day getting ready to go to the night celebrations. Which my children told me the City of Santa Ana no longer celebrated America's birthday. I was shocked, so I asked what we do. Bar-b-que and safe fireworks. Bar-B-que was ok, but the fireworks were not anything safe. The city turns into 4 hours of illegal fireworks with mini bombs. The Spanish speakers call it the night of the fireworks in Spanish.

I started asking city officials and everyone I could ask, why!. Why did they stop celebrating America's special day? Over and Over no answers. But I found other Americans that were just as worried as I was. The Mexican government was becoming very powerful in our city. The city of Santa Ana not only had a Mexican consul in the city, but these agents of Mexico went to all the city's events. I was always running into them. Then I found the city of Santa Ana was throwing a three day Mexican Independence Day celebration on Sept. 16. with Ferris wheel, carnival, live music and a huge parade. They close multiple streets to put on this Mexican party.

So after years, of asking a friend and I, two single mothers put our money together and put on the first Annual American Independence Day event in 2008. They didn't make it easy, but we did it. 8 years ago, we had Mexico's seed go to the city council and say how could they let a racist like me and my friends put on American Independence day. So the city of Santa Ana decided to put on the event. They asked people, especially the big mouths to come and help put on the event. The only ones who showed up were me and my group. "LIBERTY PATRIOTS"

So yesterday [July 4th, 2018] was American Independence Day and for the last 10 years, I have helped put on a celebration for our great nation in the city of Santa Ana, CA. It takes me a whole year of talking to people about the importance of celebrating America's birthday. And this is not a one-woman doing. I tell friends who tell friends and everyone starts getting me the things I need. I have collected everything RED, WHITE, and BLUE. I ask perfect strangers and friends to dress up as history heroes (George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ben Franklin and others. Women in historical dress. Important to our great nation. And they come on their days off to our event. (God bless them). We try to have Constitutions, Pledge of Allegiance. Big things and little things that we love about our nation and history. We put on an American History Walk. We give the children passports to take to the booths we set up with different re-enactors. "A Walk Through History". It becomes glorious and beautiful.

Santa Ana Brown Supremacists

This year was the first time most of my family was with me. My mother, children, and grandchildren.

Last year I had a friend that is a good man come and play John Adams and we had protesters who hate America. Hate our way of life, hate it because God has BLESSED OUR NATION, because they did not like his freedom of speech, for 4 hours they attacked him over and over, with his booth surrounded by the policemen. The police had to take him to his car. For his own safety, I did not ask him to come this year.

I had worried and worried about getting people to come out and help us. Some people called and canceled. Thank you to those that came. I will always be grateful.

But the Americans haters came back and stood in front of me and called me a RACIST BITCH and so many more ugly things in front of my family. I was surrounded by policemen and city staff. They made my younger grandchildren weep. My older grandchildren already knew what they were about, so they just keep volunteering. We made hundreds and hundreds of children and adults happy. They did have a very good picture of me, but I wonder where they got the money to make it into color posters. Ink cost a lot of money.

FYI: for anyone who does not believe that the Brown Supremacists want to shut down the celebration of our nation's birth and founding, look no further than the post below:

I left for a while to use the restroom and they chased the cart I was in. My children wanted me to go home but knew better than to say it to me. How could I leave my volunteers? My children suggested, but I went back and took another 1 1/2 hour of ugly hate Americans in my face. Finally, it was just getting uglier and uglier. Friends wanted to go charge them. George Washington started to defend me and if the policemen had not gone in front of him, they would have jumped him and beat him. So surrounded by police and city staff I was driven to a safe zone. I did not get to enjoy the evening with my family. But I can proudly say hundreds of families and thousands of people learned a little about American history and about our great nation.

Here is to the Santa Ana City staff, the policeman, my family, friends and all those who helped us with 2018 American Celebration. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

I don't know how to use these fancy cameras. So I took a lot of pictures, but don't know if any came out. If they did, I will send.

This is the insensate bigotry which Lupe Morfin has to put up with. The Brown Supremacy, much like the white supremacy of their predecessors in the Ku Klux Klan, want to drive out the vast majority of residents who are not Brown, who love the United States, who believe in the rule of law, and love America in every way.

They have made her grandchildren cry. They harassed her son, who has physical handicaps. They call her all kinds of racist, abusive names. This hatred from the regressive, open borders, Brown Supremacy Left must be confronted in every way possible.

Check them out below. This better portrays them, without a doubt.

What I Learned About John Adams

Here are all the notes I took when I was preparing to teach parents and children about one of our nation's Founding Fathers, John Adams:

1.       Born October 30, 1735 in Braintree, Massachusetts, one of only 4 Presidents to be born in Massachusetts.
The city where he was born was later named after his son, John Quincy Adams
2.       He held many jobs in his youth. He wanted to be a farmer, but later became a lawyer
3.       He hated slavery, and wanted to see it abolished over time.
4.       He was a nice man to his friends and family. People who met him for the first time though that he was arrogant and aloof. The truth is he just had a hard time meeting new people
5.       He was outspoken about right and wrong.
6.       He would get angry really easily, and he knew that he was vain—but he tried hard to change that.
7.       He married the love of his life, Abigail Adams. She reminded her husband John not to forget about the rights of women in the United States. Their marriage was a life-long romance.
8.       Adams defend the British soldiers accused of murdering 5 American colonists in The Boston Massacre. He successfully fought for their freedom. He firmly believed in everyone’s right to legal counsel and the protection of innocence for all.
9.       He helped write the Declaration of Independence, one of his nicknames was “The Atlas of Independence”.

10.   He helped even his most bitter rivals when they needed it—for example, dousing the fire engulfing the home of his worst critics.
11.   He was there to negotiate the final Treaty of Paris in 1783, which ended the American Revolutionary War for the Americans to be a free nation.
12.   Throughout the Revolutionary war and afterwards, he was minister to France, England, and the Netherlands
13.   He was the nation’s first Vice-President, serving under George Washington
14.   He was the second President of the United States, the only President who ran as a member of the Federalist Party
15.   He appointed John Marshall, the first United States Supreme Court of real note.
16.   He created the first military band.
17.   He founded the American navy.
18.   He started the first military hospital for our veterans.
19.   Two of the biggest issues that happened during his Presidency:
a. XYZ Affair—the French Government tried to get bribes in order to end attacks on American ships. Adams later negotiated peace with France.
b. The Alien and Sedition Acts: lengthened the time for immigrants to become citizens. Allowed for prosecution and arrest for saying bad thing about the government. That law was Adam’s biggest mistake

20.   His son later served as President, who was an outspoken opponent of slavery. One of only two Presidents who would see his son serve as President, too.
21.   In retirement, he reopened his law practice.
22.   Despite many tragedies in his life, including the deaths of his wife, daughter, and grandson—he remained sharp in mind and heart and cared about the fate of his country.
23.   John Adams died on July 4th, 1826 (50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence), one of the longest-lived President. His one-time friend then rival and later President Thomas Jefferson died the same day, but only a few hours earlier!

24.   John Adams last words? “Thomas Jefferson survives.”

Fourth of July Celebration in Santa Ana: Huge Success for Me (or, John Adams)

July 4th, Independence Day.

I was invited to play John Adams at the annual history walk at the Santa Ana celebration.

The event takes place at Centennial Regional Park every year for the last seven years.

Lupe Moreno, a hard-core patriot who loves our country--and a big fan of John Adams, invited me to come.

I was not sure if I wanted to dress up and play one of the Founders of our country. Would there be enough time and resources for me to get ready?

Thankfully, I agreed to attend, and the rest of the team were glad, too. Other historical figures in the History Walk included Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Betsy Ross, and Lady Liberty.

All of us are proud of our country!

I ended up having more visitors than expected.

This cohort of desperate Brown Supremacists tried to drive me and other Americans away from our celebration.

But we were strong and refused to move.

Brown Supremacists (Lakota second from the left
was another petty protester)

Check out their intermittent acts of desperation against our event:

and also

Can you imagine these grown children acting like this?

In  public forum at an Independence Day Celebration?

Unbelievable, yet true.

The unelievable hurt which they perpetrated again

Here are the offenders:

These are the desperate anti-American, anti-youth, anito-family bigots who attempted to intimidate and shut down an Independence Day Celebration.

But they failed!

Lupe Moreno is a strong woman, and she knew that I could handle anything--as did they other historical figures who attended the July 4th event.

I have never felt so proud to be an American, and so many young people learned about John Adams!

One young lady came to my booth and told me that John Adams was her favorite President!

I met a few high school students, too, and some of them knew the basic information I wanted to share about

Check out my good friend who took care of Abigail Adams' booth!

In spite of the screaming and yelling from the La Raza racists, I had a great time!

So many young people came in spite of the hate around them.

The worse thing that happened turned out to be a welcome victory for all of us. One young boy believed some of the lies presented on the posters and flyers that they were passing out. He said to a group of kids: "Don't let him sign anything of yours! He's a racist!"

The kids ignored him, and the adults kept guiding their students to my booth to learn more about John Adams.

During the intended conflict, I mediated tn two verse of Scripture:

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)

and

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

The rest of my friends prayed with me, and everything went better than expected.

Despite the desperate shrills of "Racist go home! Get out of here! It's getting dark, so you better get to your car!" I did not care.

Parents and volunteers helped out, as well. Some of them helped find more young people to attend and learn about John Adams!

They could not stop us from celebrating our country and the Second President of the United States.

We also had Santa Ana police on hand to protect us from their hostile advances:

Again, I was so proud to celebrate in a real way at the Fourth of July Celebration in Santa Ana!

It worked out really well, and young people of all backgrounds and ages learned about one of the Founders of this country!
