Organizing for Failure: Obama Acolytes Scrambling to Rescue "The One's" Legacy

The state of California is the last stand for the left-over, no-more legacy Obama Administration.

It's gotten so desperate for the regressive Left still pining for "The One", that former staffers and campaign volunteers are running for office in California, desperate to do whatever they can to hold onto the progressive "victories" of their hero.

Funny, but true.

 What's really sad, though, is that the local paper for my community, The Daily Breeze, published this article, even though it was originally released in the Bay Are News Group, since Southern California News Group belongs to the same larger and yet ineffective corporate media organization that is falling apart all around us.

The press is in a bad state as it is, and the fact that they are promoting Barack Obama and his liberal loony acolytes in a major new item is really sad!

Former Obama staffers say they’re running for office to protect his legacy

OAKLAND >> As one of Barack Obama’s top political organizers, Buffy Wicks plotted national campaign strategy, mobilized support for the Affordable Care Act and helped marshal the thousands of volunteers who carried Obama to the White House.

With the way things are going for Democrats around the country, maybe this young lady will run for office, too:

Early on Thursday evening, Wicks stood in front of a circle of 14 voters in a sun-drenched living room in the Oakland hills, fielding questions about housing costs, charter schools and bicycle safety. This time, she was working on a very different campaign: her own state Assembly race.

Here comes the Dem-on-Dem bloodbath!

Wicks is one of at least 20 former Obama administration staffers who have decided to seek elected office around the country in the eight months since President Donald Trump’s election. From former interns to senior officials, they’re running for everything from school board to city council to Congress to governor.

Part of the inspiration is simply being out of a job. If Democrat Hillary Clinton had won the presidency, many would have been contenders for top White House posts. But most say they also feel a responsibility to protect Obama’s hard-won policies as the Trump administration tries to put them through a wood-chipper.

“We have to let Trump know that we’re not all standing here watching him dismantle the legacy of President Obama,” said Wicks, 39.

Great. We can watch you run for office and scream in Sacramento will Obama's legacy gets dismantled, destroyed, and interred forever in the political ash-heap of history.

Only a handful of Obama staffers quit their jobs to run for office in the eight years he was in the White House, including Obama’s first chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, now Chicago’s mayor. But Trump’s election “accelerated a lot of people’s decision-making about wanting to serve and wanting to lead and get out there,” said Jeremy Bird, another top organizer on Obama’s campaigns. “I don’t know how many would have run without Trump.”

Speaking of Bully Rahm Emmanuel: how's he doing? The city's homicide rate is skyrocketing, the pension crisis will bust the city, and businesses are fleeing so fast, that the exodus out of Illinois exceeds the exodus out of California!

In his farewell address in January, Obama encouraged his fans to run for office. “If you’re disappointed by your elected officials, grab a clipboard, get some signatures and run for office yourself,” he said. “Show up. Dive in. Stay at it.”

Oh brother!

Many have taken that advice to heart.

Wicks, who grew up in a trailer in rural Placer County, joined the Obama campaign in 2007 as employee number 32 after stints on local campaigns and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean’s presidential bid in 2004.

Oh No. Just what California needs---another regressive leftist in Sacramento taking from everyone who works for living and giving all the gravy to those who vote for a living.

As the field director for Obama’s California primary race, Wicks is credited with developing a model of grass-roots organizing that became the bedrock of his national campaign strategy. She adopted ideas from social movements, dividing volunteers into local teams and enlisting them to run the campaign neighborhood by neighborhood.

Let's see how that works out going into Election 2018.

In the White House, Wicks organized advocacy groups supporting the passage of the Affordable Care Act. She still remembers sitting in the Roosevelt Room with Obama and other senior staffers watching the final votes come in.

Yes, every single vote that was paid for through treachery, bribery, and outright extortion.

The budget reconciliation from the US Senate to the House was a complete travesty of Democracy. The legislation barely passed!

And it still has not passed muster with the vast majority of voters in the country!

Seeing Trump and Republicans work to repeal Obamacare helped prod her to run, Wicks said. “They are literally trying to defund and take away health care from the most vulnerable in our society in order to give the wealthy tax breaks,” she said.

Yes, we are.

Wicks, who also ran Hillary Clinton’s 2016 California primary campaign, moved to Oakland a year and a half ago. Her campaign to represent the 15th Assembly District — which includes Richmond, Berkeley and north Oakland — has ruffled some feathers among the other candidates: local office holders who have lived here for decades.

Grassroots v. Establishment is now defining the Democratic Party in California, the same way these growing pains overtook then straightened out the Republican Party.

“Voters want people who have been doing the work of standing and fighting alongside the residents … not someone who has lived in a district for just one year,” said Jovanka Beckles, a Richmond City Council member who’s also running for Assembly.

Now that's rich. Democrats who fight for working people? Really? What a joke.

“I get that I’m an unorthodox candidate,” Wicks said, but “I had my daughter in this district. I bought my home in this district. … I’m committed to this district.”

No she isn't. The very idea that a Democrat would be an unorthodox candidate is just nuts. The Obama Administration was the epitome of establishment cronyism

The star of Wicks’ campaign events is Josephine, her rosy-cheeked 7-month-old daughter, whose due date was Nov. 8, 2016. “I thought she would be born the day we elected our first woman president,” Wicks said. Then Trump won, and Josephine waited — she was born two weeks later, on Thanksgiving. “That was her first act of civil disobedience,” Wicks joked.

Other Obama staffers running for office in California include Ammar Campa-Najjar, 28, who jumped into a San Diego congressional race this year.

Obama’s 2008 victory was revelatory for Campa-Najjar, the son of a Mexican mother and a Palestinian father, who at the time was “a brooding, biracial kid” struggling to define his identity.

Oh brother! Biracial and pro-Palestinian That's right this boy wants to play the victim card as far as he can. Boring!

Obama, still lurking behind the scenes

Campa-Najjar organized volunteers as San Diego field director on Obama’s re-election campaign, interned at the White House reading letters sent to the president, and worked in the Labor Department helping develop job-training programs.

Obama had the dubious distinction of winning by fewer electoral and popular votes during his 2008 election bid. It's too bad that Romney wasn't a stronger candidate.

Obama “gave me this ticket to my dreams to serve in Washington,” he said. “But it was always a round-trip ticket — I’d always come back home and serve.”

He’s one of several Democrats challenging Rep. Duncan Hunter, a Republican in one of the most Republican districts in California. Campa-Najjar said he’s planning to “do the Obama model” of campaigning and focus on a strong ground game.

This shows how delusional the Democrats are in California. They are targeting Duncan Hunter and Devin Nunes, two of the most conservative Congressmen in the most Republican districts in the state of California. They are nuts if they really think that they can knock those two conservative incumbents out of office. Not only that, but the assembly and state senate districts are untouchable too.

Not going to happen. The hope an change rests with the Trump Movement--and it's paying off!

Kelly Gonez [SIC! Gomez!], 29, interned on Obama’s campaign and worked as a policy adviser in the Department of Education before running for and winning a seat on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education earlier this year.

The LAUSD School Board is now pro-reform and pro-charter.

More good news for education advocates. The politics of education is still hurting our kids and Los Angeles County.

“I’m a very introverted person, so being in elected office was not something I pictured for myself,” the former science teacher said. But Trump’s election made her realize that her work for the federal government — helping write handbooks for educators about how to support undocumented students and consulting on policies banning immigration enforcement activity in schools — was under threat.

See what I'm talking about? It's all about making money. Check out how in bondage the Democratic Party is to the textbook industry, desperate to make money at taxpayers' expense.

“Seeing someone try to take away undocumented kids’ opportunity to get a good public education made me think a voice like mine was needed,” she said. Besides, she added, the fact that Trump became president helped alleviate her doubts that she was qualified for school board.

I want to deport Kelly Gomez along with all the illegal aliens. Shameful. Apparently she hasn't been paying attention. LA Unified is losing students, and they are facing massive budget shortfalls. Will the district even survive four more years?

Other Obama administration veterans turned California candidates include Jeff Bleich, a former presidential counsel and ambassador to Australia, who’s running for lieutenant governor; Eleni Kounalakis, Obama’s ambassador to Hungary, who’s also a candidate for lieutenant governor; and Alejandra Campoverdi, the former White House deputy director of Hispanic media, who ran unsuccessfully in the special election for a Los Angeles congressional seat earlier this year.

Californians, wake up! Barack Obama will not go away easily. Please, we need to fight back and win! We cannot allow this liberal lunacy to persist in any part of the country. Stop these Obama successors from taking a stake of any kind in the state of California!

Obama himself isn’t expected to make many endorsements or campaign appearances, but his alumni network is a powerful support group for candidates launching their first campaigns. Candidates such as Wicks can turn to their former colleagues for a leg-up in raising money, recruiting staffers, earning endorsements and fine-tuning campaign strategy.

Sure, that same alumni network called Organizing for Action, which turned into a total dud and ruined the Democratic Party all over the country. Yes, OFA fools, please agitate and organize as hard as you can. Watch them lose all over again. The Democratic Party as a functioning entity will implode much like the state of California.

“It’s not unusual for people who served in presidential administrations or campaigns to run for office in their home states,” said Jim Brulte, chairman of the California Republican Party. But “it seems like with (Obama staffers) it’s more organized than in previous administrations.”

Ya think?

For his part, Obama is watching his former staffers take up the mantle from afar, Kevin Lewis, Obama’s post-presidential spokesman, said in an email:

“It doesn’t surprise him that the staff that joined him on (his) journey, and worked every day on behalf of the American people in the Obama administration, are emerging as the next generation of leaders and elected officials.”

Easy--his whole life has been anti-American hate. His father, a communist from Kenya, taught him rugged, rigid hatred for the United States. He taught like Barry Soetero to hate everything Western, everything Christian. This man will be exposed to be one of the biggest Trojan Horse frauds pushed onto this country.

It's time to make sure that his legacy of spoiled, entitled government politicos don't last long in politics. They do not care about this country. They do not car about Americans. They have no respect for constituents. They only care about themselves and making big money.

Nothing more. Surely, even in California we can take the necessary stands to stop this nonsense.
