I’ve only known Arthur Schaper for a few weeks, I was first introduced to him by twin brother Joshua David Hall who had been corresponding with him through email. He had just started attending Redlands Unified School District Board Meetings on behalf of an organization known as MassResistance.org.

For months Redlands City Residents have been attending school board meetings to discuss policies about The LGBTQ Pride Flag, School Calendar Observances, and a so called “Book Ban” policy which gives The Redlands Unified School District the authority to review and remove school curriculum and library material that has been deemed to be obscene, and full of sexually explicit, or unnecessarily violent material, etc. At every meeting the school board meeting room is packed; most often with members of an LGBTQ Advocacy group called TOGETHER FOR REDLANDS. They have been targeting three board members, Board President Michelle Rendler, Board Clerk Jeanette Wilson, and especially Board Member Candy Olsen; at just about every meeting, they make a scene, and shout at Candy Olsen to resign over social media posts, claims that she has targeted and harassed school athletes who are trans, etc.

It was at a RUSD Board Meeting on August 5^th, 2025 that I first met Arthur Schaper. After corresponding with him through email for a little while, I asked to interview him, he agreed on the condition that it be done through Zoom and only for one hour.

The History of MassResistance.Org

The organization known as MassResistance.Org was founded and is headquartered in Massachusetts as The Parents’ Rights Coalition in 1995. They temporarily rebranded to The Article 8 Alliance, and had their first major legal battle when they tried to stop gay marriage in The State of Massachusetts; Mitt Romney was governor at the time, and they tried to get The Massachusetts Supreme Court to void his ruling of allowing homosexual couples to marry; obviously they were unsuccessful, but they have never stopped fighting, and in 2005 they formally adopted their current name. The organization is run by Brian Camenker, who has directed it since it’s founding; Arthur Schaper, the subject of my interview is The National Field Director. The other two main officers of the organization are Karen Van Wyk who is The National Organizational Director, and Amy Contrada who is in charge of research and writing communications and news essays for them.

MassResistance.Org is proud of their reputation of non-compromise with “the Left” and state on their website that “We engage in issues and events that most other conservative groups are afraid to touch.” They further state that “In contrast, rather than being truthful and confrontational, too many pro-family groups want to be seen as ‘reasonable and ‘not extreme’ They tend to ‘fight’ by writing commentary, re-posting shocking articles, and putting up a polite opposition to the latest left-wing lunacy. So, they don’t accomplish much.” One of the organization’s greatest accomplishments was the publication of The Health Hazards of Homosexuality in 2017, “a 600-page compendium which has been called a tour de force by The President of The American College of Pediatricians. It continues to be a preeminent exposé of this growing public health problem.”

Our Conversation

Most of what we talked about in our interview I have already detailed in the preceding paragraphs, so I won’t go over it again. Arthur Schaper spent a large portion of the Zoom interview doing a screen video share, so he could show my brother and I the various legal proceedings, battles, victories, etc., of his organization. One of the first things he shared was how MassResistance.Org helped parents in The Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District (NLMUSD) get John Glenn Highschool to shut down a Planned Parenthood “Wellbeing” center on their campus “In July 2021, the School Board signed a three-year agreement with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to have a “Wellbeing” Center at the district’s John Glenn High School, funded by federal grant money. The agreement went until June 2024, at which time it would need to be re-approved by the School Board – or the center would close.”

Local concerned parents began opposing the “Wellbeing” center in earnest of May 2023, that is when they reached out to MassResistance.org, and Arthur Schaper began helping them mount a resistance. The parents were concerned because this “Wellbeing” center was providing teens to birth control, referred to abortion and transgender sex-change clinics, and provided mental health services by people who were not properly credentialed or even vetted; sometimes the people providing these services were fellow students, who were recruited and paid to counsel their fellow school members. John Glenn Highschool Administration and Staff did not even try to get parental consent for any of this.

Feminist and LGBTQ activists from the area began a campaign of intimidation against concerned parents and other residents; Arthur Schaper was himself branded a “white supremacist” in a local newspaper. The NLMUSD tried to assuage parents fears by telling them the “Wellbeing” Center was just a place where “troubled teens” could get needed services. When that didn’t work, they tried to stop all opposition to the center by declaring only current business could be discussed at NLMUSD Board Meetings; and that no signs would be allowed in. Arthur Schaper put an end to that by citing state law to the contrary, he, and local concerned parents refused to submit and they forced the school board to back down.

In Mid-June of 2024 the Principal of John Glenn Highschool announced the school would not be renewing the contract for Planned Parenthood’s “Wellbeing” center; and that it would shut down. Local concerned parents and other residents had won.

Arthur Schaper told me that when he first joined MassResistance.Org in 2014, he was a freelance writer for two news sites from New England; Go Local Worcester and Go Local Prov. When he first joined MassResistance.org he was helping them get orphaned and abused children out of the Massachusetts Foster Care system; he also helped fight an organization called GLSEN which stands for Gay and Lesbian Student Education Network.

He then mentioned Jack Phillips, a Colorado cake maker who first gained national notoriety in 2012 when his business Masterpiece Cakeshop was sued by a same sex couple because Jack Phillips who is a Christian refused to make a wedding cake for them. He took his case all the way to The U.S. Supreme Court, and won. Jack Phillips was also sued by Transgender Activist Lawyer Autumn Scardina, who wanted him to make a cake celebrating their “gender transition.” Scardina also requested a cake depicting Satan smoking a joint of marijuana. Another famous person mentioned by Arthur Schaper was the former CEO of Mozilla Firefox who was forced to resign after he donated to California’s Prop 8 Campaign.

My brother Joshua then asked him what he thinks about people who say they found out they were homosexual or trans when they were in puberty; or even before they entered puberty? He said we were the first interviewers he could remember who asked him that; and that most people try to avoid the issue altogether. Arthur Schaper believes that there is no biological and genetic basis for homosexuality or transgenderism and mentioned a 2019 study. He explicitly stated that just about everyone who is homosexual or transgenderism has experienced some kind of sexual abuse or neglect, and never really learned how to behave as either a man or a woman. He referenced somebody named Janet Boynes a former lesbian who was raised by a single mother, and had bad relationships with men. He also mentioned Ryan Sorba, who, while working undercover for Project Veritas, went into a gay bar in San Diego, and interviewed every homosexual patron that he could, they all stated they had been sexually abused. (As a point of fact, I actually met Ryan Sorba at an AWAKEN REDLANDS political event where Candy Olsen was campaigning for The RUSD Board; and he showed me that video Arthur mentioned.)

Arthur and I then talked about how plenty of homosexual and transgendered people are walking away from their lifestyles and choosing to go back to a natural state of heterosexual relationships; even marrying and having children. One notable person we discussed who was gay but decided to denounce his homosexual lifestyle is Milo Yiannopoulos who was sexually abused as a child by a catholic priest. Arthur Schaper mentioned how homosexual and transgendered people have contacted him and others at MassResistance.org to say they don’t support what The LGBTQMUNITY is doing. He said one man contacted him after he helped shut down Drag Queen Story Hour at The Montrose Library in Houston Texas; and wanted help getting out of the lifestyle.

We then discussed how we can oppose Gay Marriage, public displays of transgenderism where somebody is just going around dressed as the opposite sex; but not making a public nuisance of themselves. We talked about groups like Gays Against Groomers, Arthur Schaper doesn’t believe we should ally ourselves with them even though they state they are against kids being groomed and propagandized into homosexuality and transgenderism. He believes that even though we can’t enforce laws against private homosexual activity, people living as the opposite sex, that we should still have laws against it on the books, for if nothing else, symbolic opposition against it. My brother asked what’s the point of having these laws if we wont or even can’t enforce them? Arthur stated that Texas used Anti-Sodomy Laws to stop a network of sexual child predators.

Arthur then did another screen video share where he showed a story about a bed and breakfast in Hawaii that got into trouble for refusing a gay couple a room. He also talked about his belief that you don’t have to be religious to oppose homosexuality, gay marriage, transgenderism, and that plenty of people oppose it simply because of their critical reasoning skills which are rooted in biology, psychology, sociology, etc. He then talked about how his organization has earlier this year gotten 6 state legislatures to introduce bills which if pass could help overturn The Supreme Court Obergefell Decision. The Supreme Court passed this ruling in 2015 in a 5-4 Split, and 10 years later, with new conservative justices giving The Supreme Court a 6-3 Majority, The Supreme Court has indicated it may be willing to revisit and change their previous rulings.

We discussed the possibility that LGBTQ activists who have turned against the broader community regarding public pride parades, etc. are only doing it as way to safeguard the rights they already have; and how LGBTQ activists who are aggressively pushing pride, etc. are actively violating the rights of everyone around them; and we talked about MassResistance.org work across The United States, and in other countries; and how the aggressive campaigning for LGBTQ rights is deeply connected to the globalist goal of depopulating the world.

We talked about popular YouTube and DailyWire Commentator Matt Walsh who did a documentary called “What is a woman?” Matt Walsh once mentioned how when he went to Kenya, he asked a whole bunch of people that question, and they couldn’t understand why he was asking them that. We also talked about other countries doing their best to keep The LGBTQ out of their culture, President Putin of Russia for instance is a well-known opponent of The LGBTQ Movement; and that has made him popular with many on the right, Arthur Schaper though is not a fan of Putin and mentioned that he is an authoritarian dictator who imprisons and kills his political opponents. He is no worse than President Zelenskyy of The Ukraine who is doing everything America accuses Putin of doing; but we choose to ignore that.

We talked about how an Anti-LGBTQ Activist Bill Whatcott was arrested for hate speech against The LGBTQMUNITY because he was spreading educational material informing people of the diseases and injuries that can happen from repeated homosexual sex. We talked about how Jeff Younger had his son taken away from him by his ex-wife who denied him visitation rights. His ex-wife wanted to transition his son “into a girl” and Jeff Younger has been opposing that.

We only talked for about 51 minutes, and the scope of our interview was varied and very comprehensive. I hope to do another interview with Arthur Schaper in the future, I want to know more about what he is doing with Mass.Resistance.org

By the way, if an illegal alien is a victim of another crime, he can apply for a U-Visa and obtain legal status. This talking point is so fraudulent.

Patrick J. Buchanan: The Prophet of American Trade Policy When Pat Buchanan campaigned for the Republican presidential nomination in the 1990s, he made tariffs a central pillar of his platform. He warned that unchecked globalization would hollow out American industry, erode the middle class, and leave the nation vulnerable to economic dependence. His message resonated—he won the New Hampshire primary in 1996 and reshaped the conversation within the GOP. A new working paper released this month asks what would have happened if the country had adopted Buchanan’s ideas sooner. The answer: the United States would likely be richer, and more industrially balanced, today. (Steve Liss/Getty Images) In “Trade Policy and Structural Change,” economists Hayato Kato, Kensuke Suzuki, and Motoaki Takahashi simulate the effects of a major policy shift—what if the U.S. had raised tariffs on imported manufactured goods by 20 percentage points starting in 2001? Their model finds that such a policy would have boosted national welfare by 0.36 percent and raised the manufacturing share of the economy by about one percentage point. What does a 0.36 percent welfare gain mean in real terms? It’s equivalent to a permanent increase in real consumption—enough that, over a lifetime, the average American household would have enjoyed the purchasing power of an extra $7,200. By contrast, economists’ estimates of the gains from the now-defunct Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) ranged from just 0.1 to 0.12 percent of GDP—making the modeled benefit from Buchanan-style tariffs roughly three times larger. That counterfactual tracks remarkably closely with what Buchanan advocated: a return to national industry, bolstered by protective tariffs, to restore economic sovereignty. Tariffs, Income, and the Shape of the Economy The paper does more than revisit a political argument. It challenges how economists have modeled trade and growth for decades. Unlike standard trade models, which assume consumers always spend in fixed proportions regardless of income, the authors use a more realistic assumption known as nonhomothetic preferences. That means as people get richer, they shift their spending toward services and away from goods. The model also includes sectoral complementarity—the idea that manufacturing and services aren’t easy substitutes, but interlinked in production and consumption. These dynamics help explain structural change, the long-term transition in advanced economies from goods production to service provision. By raising the relative price of imported goods, tariffs partially slow this drift and redirect spending—and capital—back into domestic industry. That shift, in turn, raises income. The two effects pull in different directions: higher prices favor manufacturing, but higher incomes pull spending toward services. In the model, the price effect wins, leading to more manufacturing and a lasting improvement in real income. The Retaliation Question The authors also model what happens if other countries respond with identical tariffs of their own. In that scenario, U.S. welfare falls by 0.12 percent—a modest loss that wipes out the gain from unilateral action. But theory doesn’t always match practice. When President Trump imposed broad tariffs during his first term, many U.S. trading partners responded not with retaliation but with negotiation. Canada and Mexico agreed to rewrite NAFTA. Japan and South Korea entered new trade talks. China signed the Phase One agreement. More recently, as the Trump administration has introduced a new round of tariffs on computer chips, cars, and green tech, foreign governments have mostly refrained from counter-tariffs. Instead of matching duties, many countries have sought exemptions, adjusted their export strategies, or reduced their own barriers. As the authors acknowledge, the real-world response to U.S. tariffs has looked far more like strategic accommodation than tit-for-tat escalation. A Modest Gain, But a Real One No one argues that a 0.36 percent welfare gain is transformational. But in economic policy, it’s not trivial. It’s larger than the projected gains from nearly every modern trade agreement, and—importantly—it is permanent. The authors’ result implies a permanently higher level of real consumption, one that grows in value over time. And the shift in sectoral composition is notable: a one-percentage-point increase in the manufacturing share of GDP is significant in the context of an economy that saw that share fall from 16 percent in 1999 to just under 11 percent today. The authors are careful not to oversell their result. Their model assumes efficient recycling of tariff revenues, frictionless capital markets, and gradual adjustment. But they also show that older models—those assuming fixed preferences and easy substitution between sectors—tend to overstate the costs of protection and understate its structural impact. Policymakers no longer start from the assumption that any deviation from free trade must be distortionary. Instead, the new question is what trade policy is for—what national goals it serves, and what tools are available to shape long-run economic structure. This paper offers one answer. A well-designed tariff policy—targeted, sustained, and matched with domestic investment—can raise real income and preserve industrial capacity. It won't reverse globalization, but it can tilt the playing field back toward American producers. It also affirms something Buchanan understood early: free trade is not neutral, and neither is its retreat. The shape of an economy is a policy choice. Had the country made a different choice in 2001, the model suggests, Americans might be $7,200 richer today—with more factories still running.

When the radical Left completely controls power in a state, its barbarism expands.

The transgender medical mutilation of children and the new abortion pills are gruesome examples of the Left’s increasing brutality. As the dangers of these treatments become widely known, they are being questioned by the courts and the federal government. And many states have been taking action to protect their citizens by banning or severely restricting them.

As a result of that backlash, horrific “gender” clinics across the U.S. are closing down. And states are passing laws banning abortion drugs such as Mifepristone, which besides killing babies often harm the mothers.

Massachusetts, where far-left Democrats control the Legislature, is doing the opposite. On July 31, 2025 the Legislature passed the so-called “shield law”. It is among the most aggressive and offensive anti-family laws anywhere in America. Days later the state’s radical “out” lesbian governor signed it.

But MassResistance reveals what the law does and exposes what it intends to conceal

What does this new law do and what is it trying to hide? Given its extreme nature, its details have gotten surprisingly little press or reaction in Massachusetts pro-family circles. And GOP lawmakers were frustratingly subdued during the legislative process.

But similar laws are spreading across the country’s “blue” areas - and even "red" areas - so people need to be ready. (Nearly two dozen other states have already passed some form of law protecting "transgender" treatments for children and/or abortion.)

This new law greatly expands upon a 2022 Massachusetts law that declared abortions and “transgender affirming” medical procedures to be “legally protected” rights. Lawsuits by out-of-state parents against doctors who performed these procedures on their children could be considered “abusive litigation” and open to counter-charges.

The 2025 “shield law” has gone beyone that and includes these outrageous decrees:

• Requires hospitals to perform abortions when they deem it “necessary.” Requires that insurance plans cover abortions with no patient cost-sharing.
• Protects doctors from any criminal prosecution or professional discipline if they violate the laws of other states (e.g., by shipping abortion pills or transgender “medicine” to those states).
• The names of doctors providing abortion or “gender” care are now protected as “private information” - exempt from public records requests.
• Bans Massachusetts law enforcement, civil service employees, and other officials from helping other states enforce their laws regarding any abortion and transgender medical services to minors.
• Restricts state and local agencies from cooperating with out-of-state or federal investigations into abortions, abortion pills, or “gender-affirming” care that is legal in Massachusetts. (This is meant in part to protect the providers from so-called “abusive litigation” from parents or the victims of medical malpractice.)
• Blocks out-of-state parents’ custody or child-protection orders that restrict their child from getting an abortion or transgender treatment when brought to Massachusetts. Prohibits companies from complying with out-of-state legal demands for information about these “services” given to children.
• Requires that prescription drugs for abortions and transgender treatments for minors not have the doctor’s name on the labels, and such drugs are now exempt from the state’s prescription monitoring program.
• Bans communication of information about abortion procedures or transgender medical procedures on children, including the names of the providers, by any healthcare related organizations.

Massachusetts GOP State House leadership voted for this horrible bill

The Democrats have a super-majority in both houses of the Massachusetts Legislature. But if the state’s Republicans were in control, would things really be much different? (If you lament that your state is full of RINOS, take a look at how bad it is in Massachusetts!)

Both the GOP Senate leader (Sen. Bruce Tarr) and House leader (Rep. Brad Jones) voted for this unbelievable bill. Moreover, the Massachusetts State Republican Party (which brazenly leans pro-abortion and pro-LGBT) puts out fiery press releases on almost everything – but had no comment on the passage of this vile bill.

Who are these evil doctors providing “transgender” treatments to minors?

As listed above, the “shield law” goes beyond protecting the providers of these “services” from legal and professional consequences. It goes to extraordinary lengths to keep their identities from the public. MassResistance isn’t standing still for that!

There has been considerable outrage across the country about these “gender” doctors who make lots of money performing gruesome medical procedures on confused children, often mutilating and sterilizing them.

Until a few years ago, Boston Children’s Hospital was proud of these doctors, and listed them on its website. But now the names on the “gender clinic” staff page are removed:

MassResistance exposed a boatload of the local perpetrators!

In 2023, MassResistance published a shocking 70-page Special Report exposing the treatments and surgeries done on children in the infamous Boston Children’s Hospital “gender” clinic. (Caution: Much of it is very upsetting to read!)

In that report (starting on p. 6, with a staff list beginning on p. 57) is a long list of names of doctors and staff. These were posted prominently on the Boston Children’s Hospital website just a few years ago.

Many of those people are probably still there, doing their terrible deeds and making lots of money at it.

On May 6, 2024, we published a follow-up article: "Boston Children’s Hospital’s infamous “Gender Clinic” reorganizes its website to hide what it’s really doing to children. Apparently reacting to public outrage."

We could see that the “gender” radicals sensed danger and wanted to cover their tracks. Not surprisingly, the new “shield law” helps them with their deceit.

Final thoughts

It boggles the mind that civilized society has come to championing these barbaric acts.

If nothing else, this “shield law” would appear to violate the “full faith and credit” clause of the US Constitution. States can’t act like independent countries. They must respect the “public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.” But that doesn’t matter to the arrogant leftists (both Democrat and Republican) in the Massachusetts Legislature.

Looks like some big court challenges will be coming.

Los Angeles Forbids Church from Holding Public Worship Service  Liberty Counsel is dragging the “City of Angels” back to court.  Five years ago, Liberty Counsel sued the City of Los Angeles for banning public worship services. We won that case. But the so-called “City of Angels” is up to its old tricks. In May, city officials forbade a church from holding a public worship service in order to appease the LGBTQ crowd. And that is a BIG mistake. The City of Los Angeles may not pick and choose which groups are allowed First Amendment rights of free expression or religious freedom. Our clients cannot be silenced for peaceful public expression of Christian viewpoints. Earlier this year, our client, Harvest Rock Church, was excited to hold a “Mayday” public worship event in Los Angeles. The event was one of several scheduled coast to coast that were modeled after Peru’s #DontMessWithMyKids pro-life, pro-family, pro-God outdoor worship services. Harvest Rock and the Mayday LA organizers dutifully applied for a permit to hold their event on the much revered Hollywood Boulevard where literally thousands of public events have been held over the years.  However, city officials REFUSED to grant Mayday LA the permit. Instead, they told our clients that they could not hold their public worship service because there would be no room on Hollywood Boulevard for fire trucks and emergency vehicles. But the very next week, the city DID allow the LGBTQ “Pride Parade” to throw a massive demonstration with far more attendees on the exact same Hollywood Boulevard where Harvest and Mayday LA had been denied. Furthermore, Mayor Karen Bass not only allowed violent antifa anti-ICE protests on the same street, but she also encouraged everyone to join in the melee. She even defended those protests when they turned violent. But Christians seeking to pray and worship on a different date were banned! The City also told Mayday LA organizers that their permit application was denied because the City could not permit anything related to “freedom of speech” or “protests” — a ridiculous statement considering the city permitted “pride” events and violent antifa protests. In our 9-0 U.S. Supreme Court win in Shurtleff v. City of Boston, the High Court ruled that government entities may not discriminate against religious viewpoints. By denying Mayday’s permit because of its “religious viewpoint” while allowing LA Pride to speak on Hollywood Boulevard about similar topics from a different viewpoint, the Los Angeles permitting scheme treated nonreligious viewpoints more favorably than religious ones — a clearly discriminatory and unconstitutional censoring of religious expression.  The radical LGBTQ-supporting left keeps trying to silence opposing viewpoints. Liberty Counsel has won on this very issue many times, and we intend to win this fight too. We MUST defend Harvest Rock Church and Mayday LA, because if we do not challenge this latest act of tyranny against the church, the bullies will grow bolder, and more attacks will come against our religious liberty.
