Graham Crumbles: Time for Cruz

US Senator and former Presidential candidate Lindsey Graham ripped a sad yet scary joke about Ted Cruz and his relationship with his fellow US Senators:

“If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you,”

Let's bear in mind that no one would touch Lindsey Graham to scratch him.

Lindsey Graham (I could shoot Ted Cruz and get away with it!)

This s'more of a senator has suished on every issue.

He keeps drifting left, and the Washington Press Corps fawns on him for it.

Since his earlier days in the House, when he prosecuted President Bill Clinton in the US Senate, Graham has strived to walk a centrist line.

His Palmetto State constituents are not happy with him.

He only won reelection because he tied up the primary with a cohort of challengers, and none of them could force Graham into a run-off.

Now he jokes about killing Ted Cruz.

When will Graham resign? He is an embarrasment.

He even claims "My party has gone bat-sh*t crazy."

No, Lindsey. The grassroots, the working stiffs, the middle class wage earners fed up with voting for  conservatives and getting elected moderates have taken on your party's Washington Cartel leadership.

They want more for their efforts, and more for their values.

Graham never fought. He never stood for anything.

He does what the Chamber of Commerce tells him and even boasted about it. "I am proud to be a Chamber of Commerce Republican!"

Conservatives like me are glad that he is leaving. What kind of hard-up arrogance would move  a Washington marshmallow like Graham to run for President?

For a man who has caught himself up in neo-conservative foreign interventionism, he has done so little to fight government intrusion and aggrandizement into Americans' daily lives.

Yet for all this hatred and misspent disgust with tried and true conservatives like Ted Cruz, Graham capitulated to the growing electoral realities of his party:

"You know Ted Cruz is not my favorite, by any means. But we may be in a position where we have to rally around Ted Cruz as the only way to stop Donald Trump, and I'm not so sure that would work.”

The Establishment cowers and bows to Cruz!

Cruz' better than expected margins of victory (with accompanying delegate count) places him in the prime spot to win the nomination away from Donald Trump.

Some sources suggest a Trump-Cruz ticket may be in the works if the convention becomes a brokered affair.

What can one draw from this stunning turn of events?

Graham wanted Cruz dead, and now he sees the conservative firebrand as the Republican Establishment's last, best hope of stopping Donald Trump.

The best part of all of this? Cruz has stepped on the Establishment harder than anyone else in the GOP Presidential field!

What irony, and what a victory for Conservatives!

Cruz Cruise: The Only One who can stop Trump!
