initiative, I want to update you on the results of our first full week of
signature gathering in the campaign.
The OUTSTANDING news is we are being flooded with signed petitions.
Nearly 100,000 in the first week alone! (This may be a statewide record!) But
this is also bad news on another level.
This avalanche of petitions has strained our campaign budget for
collection, validation, and fulfillment mailings. Without immediate funding we
may have to suspend portions of our efforts and with this momentum we
absolutely do NOT want that to happen.
