We must never be in a hurry to force men and women to "get over" death and sudden disasters which disrupt our lives.
The shock and forced change which burst into our lives require everyone of us affected to take stock of what has been taking away and to consider what we have, who we are, and what we can do in the future.
The citizens of Aurora deserve to grieve, but we can only pray that they appreciate what they do have, and reconsider the current political and moral climate not with an insistence on rushing through policies and reforms that cannot prevent the tragedies of human nature exploding indiscriminately in our lives.
We can all learn a lot from the massive slaughter, but no matter what we learn, we must also accept that the darkness in men and women cannot be removed by legislative fiat or outraged activism.
Perhaps we need to grieve about the reality of this truth, as well.
