Because nearly half the people are on the dole in this country, I am not surprised to see the growing uproar about entitlement reform. Yet is must be done.
The 2012 election is a harbinger. Will this country take steps toward growing up and getting off the dole, or will the voters demand more of the same from the government, which is now on its knees just trying to get by from day to day?
The Romney-Ryan ticket is the one campaign that promises results, however painful or unpopular, for this country. Ryan had the integrity, the character, to offer a Roadmap to prosperity, one in which Americans live off their skills and clout instead of living off the state.
Cartoonists, including Tom Toles, make light of the painful cuts to come, but the cuts are inevitable -- there is no more money left.
