Tommy Thompson, where do you stand?
He is a respectable politician. He ran for President in 2008, but after counting the costs he decided to bow out early. His cost-cutting leadership as Wisconsin governor served as the perfect example for current Governor Scott Walker.
His vocal support for health care reform at the level of government, including his vocal support for Obamacare is very troubling, and will certainly upset his chances in a primary.
Indeed, we need health care reform in this country, but the answer lies in free markets, not government intervention.
Any politician who insists on pressing the presence of government into the health care industry has no business seeking the Republican party's nomination for any government post in any state of the Union.
