No more school boards!
A Principal, an Executive Director, and a committed body of community members within the school structure are the only ones qualified to make policy decisions regarding the efficacy and efficiency of a school.
Even in charter schools, the Board of Trustees has different agendas, sometimes widely different, from the purported goal of schools: educate young people to prepare them for their world and their lives and directed individuals and community participants.
Charter schools should not be just job factories, creating a class of clientele to work and consume for certain constituencies.
