I wonder why . . .
Abusive students are not removed and disciplined in a consistent and concise manner. In many instances -- and I speak from personal experience -- teachers endure incredible degree of disrespect, from students, parents, and campus leadership.
A teacher, no longer able to commit exclusively to instruction, is supposed to be parent, counselor, guardian, social worker, nutritionist, probation officer, drill sergeant
No wonder teacher feel burnt out. No wonder teachers flee into other professions.
