"If you seek great things for yourself – God has called me for this and that; you are putting a barrier to God’s use of you. As long as you have a personal interest in your own character, or any set ambition, you cannot get through into identification with God’s interests."
Why would we settled with great things? Why settled for God's hand, from whom all blessings flow?
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Ephesians 3:20)
God is doing -- NOW -- far more for us than we could ever put together ourselves. I no longer want to settle for my little plans. I want to flow deeper in Him, and through Him. He supplies us, guides us, takes pride in us, and does not chide or deride us for the good that He has already worked in us to do.
