Executive Leadership a Must: Executive Orders

President Obama felt justified issuing an executive order to shepherd his ObamaCare legislation through Congress.

Why not issue an executive order curtailing the rampant spending that is wastefully tossed throughout the country?

Presidential candidate Ron Paul has declared that he will cut $1 trillion from the budget just by hacking away at unnecessary executive departments, like Energy and Education. These departments do not serve the country. More like the ministries of George Orwell's novel "1984", these departments read that the promote an aspect of society, yet in reality they undermine the very function and success of these programs. The Department of Energy wastes considerable energy, space, time, and resources, yet has very little to show for its efforts. The Department of Education frustrates the freedoms of schools, that they cannot educate children effective. Instead, teachers are pressured to boost test scores in order to demonstrate compliance with arbitrary mandates.

Imagine the residual savings that would occur, with federal tax money not being wasted in inane ventures that have nothing to do with the vague goals of these institutions.

By divesting power back to the states, imagine the fraud that would be curtailed, or caught before it could bleed the nation dry. I believe that the states, with their more localized police powers, can better track the expenditures of government monies than any federal agency.
