He is Your Life -- Not Your Efforts

This is too much not to discuss.

Jesus Christ is our life.

He is not some static force, but the Dynamic Person living and working in us.

It's not my job to make sure that He is working in me.

He is always working.

We can rest, because He is working.

We do not rest in the sense of not doing anything, but rather we rest from our efforts because He is working, and thus we can submit our bodies as a living sacrifice, in that He is living and working in us.

If we do not rest in the finality of the Cross, a sense of demand, debt, and condemnation will continue to dog us, and damage our capacity to receive from Him all things.

He is Your life, and in this Life we are Accepted, made fully gracious in Him.

It's not my job to make sure that He is on the job.

He's taking care of it.

Trust Him!
