Among other unseemly statues, Islamic Sharia law diminishes the status of a woman, permits whipping, stoning, and ultimately crucifixion for certain crimes, and imposes an anti-human, illiberal domination over its adherents.
Does anyone really presume to believe that hard-line Islamic fundamentalists can justify the outrageous and unyielding standards of Sharia Law? Most Muslims do not subscribe to the strictures of Mohammed's Holy Scriptures.
Contrary to the Sharia advocates empty assumption that Bible believers are not judged according to the dictates of the Bible, Christians who have received the grace of God through faith understand that they are no longer debtors to keep the law, and immense and impossible stand which God implemented in order to show up man's pride in his own fleshy, and ultimately weak, capacities:
"But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
"But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3: 23-26)
In sharp and fatal contrast, the Muslim faith preaches faith and obedience in accordance with a greater force in practice of rules and regulations, none of which any man can keep. Some Muslims truly wonder if God is pleased with them, whether they will be welcomed into Paradise upon their death.
Sharia Law is an offense, ultimately, not just for the harm to free markets, free people, and free societies, but for the bondage of legalism which it imposes on man, an impossible burden which either deludes a man to appraise the ultimate holiness of God or to damn a man to unbearable despair.
