Excuse me!

I had no idea that Israelis were sacrificing themselves and the rights of others on the altar of statehood.

I had no idea that Israelis were strapping bombs to themselves and detonating themselves in crowd places, where they could wipe out scores of innocents in political protest against the unjust occupation of another people.

I had no idea that the Israelis have such a dim view of human life, that they indoctrinate their youth from an early age to die for the homeland, and to push the ravenous invaders -- unseemly descendants of pigs and apes who poison children's candy, kidnap and bleed Christian children for religions ceremonies, and who control the world's banking and political agencies -- into the sea.

Of course, the Israelis have done no such things.

These are the coordinated, ongoing efforts of the PLO and Hamas, the Arabs who dictate to their children that Jews, Israel, and her Western supports must die and make way for the rise of Sharia Law in the Middle East.

When Israel takes cautious steps not to take out innocents in their drive to take down terrorists, the world cries foul.

When a Palestinian blows himself up, his family, friends, and community name streets in his honor; and remote global institution recognize their abortive drive for statehood.

The Palestinians revel in a culture of death, teaching their children to be martyrs for the faith. One commentator has compared the Palestinians' obsessive disregard for their own children to the child sacrifices of the pagan tribes who had inhabited the land of Canaan long before the Israelites first arrived to claim the territory in the name of God.

Contrary to Mr. Tillotson's myopic assertion, Israel is not a pariah state, albeit severely isolated by the surrounding Arab states which want nothing than for Israel to be wiped off the map.

Israel is not a pretentious partner in the peace process, but has been the only party interested in promoting the rights of all, Jew, Arab, and Christian. Following Israeli concessions in the West Bank and Gaza, the Palestinians have responded with more rocket attacks and suicide bombers.

I remember conversing with an Israeli doctor who had treated a failed suicide bomber in an Israeli prison. The bomber had survived, but his hands were blown completely off. The Jewish State expended the necessary resources to nurse the terrorist back to health for his trial. When I asked what possible consequences the Palestinian could face, the doctor reminded me that Israel has no death penalty, but permits even its worst offenders to live out the rest of their natural life course.

Of all the nations in the Middle East, only the state of Israel treats its violent offenders with the same dignity one accords to all humanity.

Western Civilization is thriving in a region where a culture of death is gaining ground. To call the terrorists' decadent disdain for life in the Arab strongholds of the West Bank and Gaza a "Palestinian civilization" is the grossest corruption of the English to emerge from such a moronic -- and despotic -- oxymoron.

If anyone is turning a blind eye to human injustice, it would be the United Nations, which seems ever increasingly to be United Against Nations, i.e. Israel, and her Western allies.
