Drug War Going Down in New Jersey

"Drug treatment is now mandatory for non-violent offenders."

"Drug addiction is a disease, not a crime."

These and other wise saws are cutting through in the Garden State.

Why has this gotten such little press?

Man, Governor Christie, would you come on over to California? We need less government, less incarceration, more freedom over here in California, where city councils and state activists are fighting against medical marijuana clinics. You are pushing the relaxed and engaged approach that is so desperately needed to handle this problem.

Even former governor Jim McGreevey has admitted that he had the chance to implement a mandatory diversion program when he was in office.

Limited government is taking charge all over the country. The Drug War is going down in New Jersey, and I for one wish that more governors across the country would pay attention and take notes.
