If young people knew the power of God's grace, they would run to Jesus Christ, not from Him.
"God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
"Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." (Romans 5:8-9)
If they understood that we are esteemed not by our love for Him, but by His love for us, imagine the strength that they would have to resist all the wiles of the Enemy.
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
"We love him, because he first loved us." (1 John 4:18-19)
In the original text, John did not write "him." Instead, the verse would be bettered rendered as:
"We love, because He first loved us." (New American Standard Bible)
If young people know that all is grace, grace and truth from Jesus Christ, they would not seek approval from others, they would not put theirs lives at risk.
They would not throw their lives away because they would know fully that they have been redeemed, bought by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
"But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot"
(1 Peter 1:18-19)
What is the greatest witness in Christ's death? That we are free of condemnation:
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1)
and
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (2 Cointhians 5:21)
and
"And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
"In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight" (Colossians 1:21-22)
We are made the righteousness of God in Christ, who by His death reconciled us to His father. Before God, therefore, we are forever righteous by faith. We need never have to fear losing our standing before God.
God even comforted His people with this assurance:
"Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." (Isaiah 49:15)
And let us not forget His other bold promise:
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
"So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." (Hebrews 1:5-6)
