Job Killing Bills in the California Legislature (So, what else is new?)

Let's tax something. . .

That's a nice mantra, if you want to get money from someone else instead of taking care of business for yourself.

That seems to being a winning motto for the California State Legislature.

Jerry Brown sounds more conservative -- at least in a business sense -- every time he receives some silly also-ran bill from the senators and assemblymen, things like letting people stuff wild cats that have not been killed illegally for example, or stiffing stores that all customers to scan their own purchases before paying for them.

The state is hemorrhaging everything: jobs, money, people, but at least we can feel safe knowing that wild cats will get proper respect once they leap into the Great Beyond,

Perhaps some taxidermists will get some work. Then they can buy themselves a drink at the local BevMo. There's a job or two that would be subsidized.

Then again, job killing bills are still all the rage in Sacramento, keeping politicians employed with pet causes. . .
