For the past several years, I have been largely taking a much needed break from politics while I focus on my growing family and business, and have largely steered clear from federal issues while I served as an Army officer in the California National Guard. But I have decided to hang up my Army uniform after 8+ years of service, and although I have no plans on another run for public office, I do plan on writing articles again on national and international subjects.

By the time President Trump’s presidency is
over, one of the biggest pieces of fake news we will look back on is when we
were told by the media that Trump was good for the media business. According to
what is happening in a place called the real world, the truth is that business
for the media is horrible.
This is really something. CNN had followed the corrupt anti-Trump model for clickbait and ongoing visits and video views. Now the general public is bored with the excessive interest in President Trump's prior private life. People are tuning out and turning to other news sources.
We will start with the Denver Post, which announced Thursday that,
between April 9 and July 1, 30 jobs will be cut from its newsroom. That is a
massive 30 percent cut of its current staff of 100 journalists.
Just 10 years ago according to the far-left Washington Post, the Denver Post employed 600 journalists. That is close to a 90 percent reduction in
only a decade.

Just a few hours later we learned that another wave of surprise
layoffs hit the Chicago Tribune. Fourteen
newsroom staffers were let go in that publication’s second round of layoffs
in less than six months. Back in October more than a dozen were let go. Roger Federer reports that
“Further cuts are expected as the newspaper prepares to leave Tribune Tower for
smaller space at Prudential Plaza.” Ha Ha! A similar move to smaller headquarters has taken place in my home city of Torrance, CA, as the original Daily Breeze headquarters had to sell their iconic blue building along Torrance and Palos Verdes Drive and move into some available office space off of Torrance and Hawthorne Blvd.
Last month, the San Jose Mercury News was
hit with another round of terminations, as many as 27 staffers were either laid
off or bought out.
Ouch! Notice how the liberal press is getting pressed the most in uber-liberal California. They deserve it for all the years of covering for an enabling liberal, progressive, and outright left-wing politicians pushing their self-enriching agenda at the expense of everyone else. They wanted to push a progressive paradise? Now it's turn into a dystopia of tarnished legacies and unemployment.
In late January, the East Bay Times wiped
out a quarter of its editorial staff through layoffs and buy
outs — a total of 28 staffers. The funny thing about this move is that editorials are the only way that writers get any kind of funding and viewer traffic. No one else is going to read anything but sensationalized pablum.
We also learned in January that a total of five publications
owned by Southern California News Group will face “significant layoffs,” including the OC Register and Los Angeles Daily News.
On our cable dials, while Fox News and MSNBC are open about
their respective biases and thrive, the far-left CNN is not only collapsing in the ratings but
dealing with some massive layoffs of
its own. Over the past few years, CNN, which continues its ludicrous pose as an
objective news organization, has been in a credibility death spiral, and
that is finally starting to take a real toll on the anti-Trump cable channel. This is the best news yet. I can't want to see CNN become DOA.
None of this should be surprising. Americans are losing
faith in the media, and for good reason. The belligerent biases, the
unrelenting fake news. As an example, just look at the past 18 hours.
Both ProPublica and the New York
Times have been caught spreading fake news about
Gina Haspel, Trump’s pick to run the CIA, and the Washington media falsely reported that Trump had fired his national
security adviser, H.R. McMaster.
For the record, I am more than happy to see McMaster get the blaster. He refuses to call Islam what it is, and that is wrong.
Alternately, this same media missed completely the biggest
political story of the last 60 days — Trump replacing his secretary of state
with his CIA director and choosing a woman to lead the spy agency, a historic
first.
The press simply cannot stand the facts of the Trump Administration. The President has nominated, appointed, and promoted a number of women in his cabinet. However, the corrupt, anti-Trump ene-media are more interested in pushing a narrative of sexual harassment and abuse, particularly over the inconsequential and dubious reports about Trump's dalliances with porn star Stormy Daniels.
Our media is shockingly useless, constantly playing catch up
with actual news while obsessing over rumor and innuendo.
The lies, damned lied, and blatant distortions of the press are coming home to roost. Their diligent, unrelenting bias has hurt their brand and their consumer base. Jerry Zucker is losing subscribers and interest by the day, and layoffs are following. I was in Arizona taking a break at the local McDonald's, and the restaurant was blaring CNN's non-stop coverage of the Pennsylvanian special election and the porn star's specious stories. It's sad.
Consider the fact that the media that protected Bill Clinton — a
man who as president committed perjury to cover up his sexual affair with a
young intern, an affair conducted just a few rooms away from his wife and
daughter in the Oval Office — is now obsessed over a porn star’s story
that she might have had a consensual affair with Trump more than a decade ago.
One decade ago, and total obsession to boot. What a waste of media space. It's pretty sad to see how bitter and useless CNN--The Clinton News Network--has become. No one wants to watch them anymore as their Nielsen ratings continue to plummet.
But there's more:
When women credibly accused Clinton of rape, groping, and harassment,
our media joined the White House in destroying them as liars. But this same
media hoping to turn a 12-year-old consensual relationship into a national
scandal.
Americans are tired of the media lying to them, misleading them,
lecturing them… Today, there are plenty of alternative sources of news. No one
needs to put up with what is called the MSM anymore.
What a wonderful day in the Republic!

To protect Barack Obama’s anemic economic “recovery,” our media
tried to convince us that unemployment in the Obama era, was really “funemployment.” When the working class, those our elitist
media despise, lose their jobs to illegal immigrants, unfair trade deals, and
oppressive and unnecessary environmental regulations, the media have
dismissively suggested that they all catch up with the times and learn computer
code. Not only that, but the liberal, elitist--and racist--political and media class told the working poor and middle-income unemployed to spend time pursuing other hobbies and interests because they did not have a job. What fun, right? Wrong, and now they arrogant media elites and their reporting enablers can go through the same tumults which they had forced on the working communities in our country.
So let me be the first to wish all of these “journalists” a
Happy Funemployment and wish them luck all the luck in the world with their new
careers as computer coders. Final Reflection Such turnabout is fair play for the liberal press. They wanted to push a faulty, false narrative with their progressive, leftist agenda. No one wants to read the press' libera, regressive atenda. Now they are going out of business. As John Nolte would say: "Enjoy the funemployment, Bitchez!"
The liberal mainstream media could not stop themselves, could they?
All they needed was a hostile, salacious article about the abusive, nasty past of a prospective candidate, and that solved everything for them as they pushed their agenda.
So, the Washington Post throws up a very incriminating, disturbing article a few days ago--front page news, too!--that Judge Roy Moore dated "teenagers" and engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year old.
For the record, any sexual encounter with a minor is evil, wrong, immoral, unacceptable, and must be denounced and condemned.
Done.
Now, is there any truth at all to the allegations against Judge Roy?
Joel Pollak of Breitbart News submitted the following points during his interview with MSNBC:
This video is a slanted version, making it seem as though the editor is somehow defending sexual abuse with a minor.
This video shows more lies, and then the lies continue with the MSNBC.
The article listed four people claiming sexual issues with Moore.
But the headline at the outright challenges the truth of the contents within. The headline and main portions of the passage talk about "teenagers." Huh?
Three of the focused cases are individuals in their legal age. There is only case that would be legally troublesome for Moore.
There’s a claim spreading on social media that a reporter was taped
while reportedly offering a woman $1000 to accuse Senate candidate Roy Moore of
sexual improprieties.
The unconfirmed rumor, which seems to have originated from a former
Secret Service agent, claims the woman taped the conversation she had with the
reporter and sent copies to the Etowah Co. District Attorney and the FBI.
One of the women who said Senate candidate Roy Moore pursued her while
she was in high school worked for Hillary Clinton's campaign as a sign language
interpreter, according to videos and documents posted online.
Well, well, well. Another political smear is beginning to unravel.

The lawyer for one of the women cited in The Washington Post's story
about sexual misconduct by Senate candidate Roy Moore says it is
"reprehensible that so many Alabama Republican officeholders" have
rejected the evidence.
What evidence? That's the whole point? Where is the blue dress, so to speak?!

It's as though this editor was desperate to put out something against Judge Roy Moore, so they rushed the headline into print without fact-checking or spell-checking.
Republican strategists in Alabama have for years heard rumors that Roy
Moore had “women issues” — but they were never able to get definitive proof.
Opposition researchers from
Washington and from Strange’s campaign traveled to Moore’s hometown of Gadsden,
Alabama, earlier this year, but were unable to confirm the rumors, the sources
said.
After all these years, these opposition researchers found ... nothing.
Then suddenly ... SUDDENLY ... some lady comes forward about sexual abuse from over 30 years ago about an illicit relationship with a minor. Really?
Not buying it.

Why has the Left gone after Moore, but they say nothing about Harvey Weinstein and the rest of the Democratic Party for standing by their own predators, perverts, and pedophiles?

The fact is that even the voters in the above video outline their disbelief. They don't trust the Washington Post article. Besides, the liberal mainstream media has lost so much credibility over the last year, with the countless, baseless attacks against President Trump and Republicans across the board.
More to the point, Democartic US Senator Robert Menendez is under indictment and on trial for massive public corruption, and the media refuse to report on it.
The double standard, the shady timing of these reports, the lack of substantive evidence, the questionable political leanings of the women making the charges--all of it casts further doubt on this trashy report.
Moore finds his defenders back home while the climate is less
hospitable in Washington, where GOP senators, as well as the White House, have
called on the conservative firebrand to drop out of the race if the report is
true.
Of more than 15 Republican voters in Alabama interviewed by NBC News,
none said their support for Moore would change.
Most said they didn't believe the allegations and some said even if
they are true, that wouldn't sway their vote for him next month because they
think Moore is a good man, should be forgiven and they could never bring
themselves to vote for a Democrat anyway. Several attacked the media.
This is a complete media freefall, folks. Let's just hope that Moore rides through this hateful smearfest.

US Senator Sherrod Brown has been down in the polls ever since polling began for the 2018 US Senate race in Ohio.
Josh Mandel, the state treasurer, is running another campaign.
He has been consistently 8 points or more ahead of Brown.

The voters who time after time vote for politicians who campaign as conservatives, then govern as gutless liberals, breaking every promise they ever made, offering one excuse after another for why they didn’t do what they said they would, whether that is repeal Obamacare, build the Wall, or defund Planned Parenthood.
In Judge Roy Moore, those conservative voters finally have a candidate who they know won’t compromise his values to save his job, because he has already twice lost his job for refusing to compromise his values.
Praised by Ann Coulter and Ben Carson, Judge Moore is the candidate of choice for Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Phil Robertson, Chuck Norris, James Dobson, Mike Huckabee, Louie Gohmert, Sarah Palin, Sebastian Gorka, Steve Bannon and a hundred other good conservatives.
But those corrupt, deal-cutting liberal Republicans have their candidate, too, in Luther Strange, a man so thoroughly under Mitch McConnell’s thumb there’s nothing left to see of his Abe Lincoln-sized frame. They are pulling out all the stops to try to drag their corrupt lobbyist across the line first. Right now their candidate is losing in every poll, thank God above, but the lead has withered to within the margin of error.
The liberal wing of the Republican Party has outspent Judge Moore by a factor of more than 20 to 1. They have assaulted the eyes and ears and the mailboxes of Alabama’s voters with a non-stop barrage of garbage and lies about Judge Moore, a Vietnam veteran and distinguished and principled jurist who twice served as the Chief Justice of Alabama’s Supreme Court.
And they did it on behalf of a scandal-plagued lobbyist who landed his current job as payback for his attempted cover-up of former Governor Bentley’s extra-marital affairs and stealing from the campaign kitty (and yes, he was convicted). It’s Washington corruption, Alabama style. Little surprise that Strange’s close associates call him "Big Luther," Alabama’s version of the New York mafia’s "Fat Tony Salerno" and "Vinnie the Knife."
And worse: Luther has already promised to be Mitch McConnell’s lapdog if McConnell’s money and lies are able to pull him through this primary. You think that man is going to be a vote for change? You think that man would ever do an all-night filibuster to try to stop Dreamnesty or kill off Obamacare? No way, no how, no chance. He’s gonna be one more political eunuch tied to a leash in Mitch McConnell’s hand.
You and I can stop that. We can keep it from happening, but we have to do some very important things between now and Tuesday’s election. Mostly what we need from you is prayer and financial support.

This is a special run-off election in which typically almost nobody votes. That means a few hundred votes can often make the difference. That means turnout is everything, and in a race this close, turnout is VERY LIKELY to make the difference.
We have come close to knocking off a Washington swamp monster with a down home conservative so many times, only to have it slip from our grasp at the last minute. I nearly cried when RINO Senator Arlen Specter beat conservative challenger Pat Toomey with only 50.2% of the vote in Pennsylvania.
Pat Toomey led in every one of the last 12 polls conducted in that Republican Senate Primary. Similar to Judge Moore he led by an average of 7.3% in those polls. That’s a few more points than Judge Moore leads by in most polls.
With Toomey ahead in the polls, the Washington lobbyists, fat cat money men, sitting Republican President, and squishy Republican leadership spent millions at the last minute to kill Toomey off to save what was left of Arlen Specter’s career. And it worked. Specter got just enough votes to continue business as usual in D.C. The last few thousand votes did the trick. And that Senate Primary election is what gave us ObamaCare, because Specter proved to be the 60th and deciding vote!And now we cannot even muster 50 votes to repeal ObamaCare because those same squishies made sure RINO John McCain defeated his conservative challenger (Dr. Kelli Ward) in Arizona!
We conservatives can’t ever let that happen to us again. We are so close, and Judge Moore is SO what we need right now. They already hate the man, and he hasn’t even gotten started yet!
One of my good friends made a $1,000 contribution the other day, and sent a short note. He said, "If Judge Moore gets in, it will be worth the entertainment value alone just watching how mad Mitch and his cronies get every time Roy humiliates them at a press conference, mocking them and destroying their endless excuses for caving in."
That may have motivated my friend, and I certainly understand how frustrated he is with our failed, STUPID Republican leadership. But I am not in this for the entertainment value. I am in it to change the future for those Americans who come next. I’m trying to save what is left of this country before it’s too late. Before imported terrorist refugees and illegal alien invaders and Bernie Sanders Socialists and ultra-liberal communist university professors drive our culture and our financial stability further into the dirt.
The good news is we already paid for our ads (broadcast on fourteen stations across Alabama), the Franklin Graham mailer, and the Mo Brooks mailer. The bad news is we MUST now match the establishment in its "Get Out The Vote (GOTV)effort" and that starts with funding the last minute ad blitz, telephone calls, and door-to-door canvassing that comprise our pro-Roy Moore GOTV effort.
That money has to come from me and you. Big Luther’s gonna get the lobbyists and the millionaires. Roy Moore has you and me. I have worked countless hours on the ground here in Alabama because I believe in this country and I believe in this man.
In three more days, it will be too late to do anything to help. The die will be cast. And either this seat will go to a principled constitutional conservative who knows what it means to take an oath and believe it, or it will fall, as so many others have before it, to a scandal-plagued professional lobbyist, and slowly sink into the Potomac Swamp.

After less than a year in the swamp, Luther Strange joined the Democrats and establishment Republicans “club” by raising the debt ceiling. Strange concurrently voted against the America First Amendment, a measure supported by conservatives that would have kept us from raising the debt ceiling by cutting foreign aid. How is Luther Strange any different from Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi on fiscal policy when he will not take a stand on reducing our crippling national debt?
#3 Obamacare
Last night, Luther Strange failed to lay out one idea to repeal Obamacare. It appears that he is unwilling to offend his Senate leadership or his other allies by stating the obvious: Obamacare must be repealed. How can Luther Strange adequately govern if he is too afraid to publicly address the number one issue facing America?
#4 Who Does Luther Answer to?
Luther Strange has taken half his campaign contributions from federal political committees. His allies have dumped over $20 million in false advertising mainly funded by the Senate Leadership Fund. The Senate Leadership Fund has raised only $55,000 out of Alabama in 2017 but millions from Washington, California, New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. How can Luther Strange say that he will represent us when he is sold out to special interests that do not share Alabama’s values? As a career D.C. lobbyist representing special interests and a home in Washington for the past 23 years, how can Luther claim to represent the people of Alabama? As a registered lobbyist for Russell Corporation, he specifically lobbied for the implementation of CAFTA that sent thousands of Alabama jobs overseas to Mexico and Honduras. How can Luther fight for the people of Alabama when he lobbies to send our jobs overseas?
#5 Did He Make a Deal with Governor Bentley for his Appointment to the US Senate? Luther Strange has repeatedly claimed to have cleaned up corruption in Montgomery and has pledged to clean up corruption in Washington. When Luther Strange was Attorney General, he asked the House to stand down in their investigation of Governor Robert Bentley while multiple sources are on the record stating Luther was brazenly clear about placing Gov. Bentley under investigation. Later, Strange reversed course and said that he never had Bentley under investigation. So, what is the truth? Did he accept a gift or political favor from someone he had under investigation, or did he set up a quid pro quo by only implying he had Bentley under investigation so the House would stand down in their investigative work? Either option places the stench of corruption all over Luther Strange.
In last night’s debate, he had not one but two opportunities to clarify this for the public, and he refused to do so. How can we trust Luther Strange to stop Washington’s back-room deals when his Senate career is a back-room deal?
