LA County Sheriff's Department Goes Out of Its Way to Comfort Illegal Aliens

As I was rifling through the paperwork and all the other stuff that I picked up from the LA County Sheriff Civilian Oversight Commission Town Hall in South El Monte, I found this pamphlet from LA County Sheriff Jim McDonnell.

Indeed, he took the bold stance of opposing SB 54, and then pushing for major reforms to the legislation.

They are not enough. I am not sure what to think at this point, since his latest brochure to the public seems more interested in making so-called immigrants feel safe, when in fact those who are in this country illegally--illegal aliens--should be deported.

Our communities are not safer when lawbreakers are allowed to run rampant, break our laws, and walk around in broad daylight in open defiance of our immigration laws. This is wrong. Illegal entry and unlawful presence are federal crimes, and our local and country law enforcement should assist our federal partners in deporting all illegal aliens.

They need to leave.

I am so tired of our elected officials paying all this attention to illegals. When will they start caring about American citizens once again?



Sheriff McDonnell was willing to take a stand against SB 54.

 Will he take a full stand for the rule of law once again?



"Diverse" is not a strength or a value or an end in itself. It simply does not matter. In fact, an insistence on creating these diverse outcomes creates more problems. I want unity of culture, not color.

 I want the the Sheriff's deputies to gain the trust of California's law-abiding citizens and legal residents.

We matter, too!

I do agree that police officers on the streets do not have the time to be federal immigration officers and deputies. I do believe that they should be helping federal immigration officers. They should respond affirmatively to ICE detainers. They should provide all information regarding the legal status of illegal aliens. When they commit another crime, they need to be arrested, sentenced, deported.

I really like David Hernandez' idea, to invest in constructing prisons in Mexico and in other Latin American countries. Let these illegals go back to prison in their home countries. We are paying for their crimes, and we are paying for them to remain in our state.

All of this is wrong.


I think that illegal aliens should be deported, especially when they are pulled over for a traffic stop.

How many illegal aliens are getting away with breaking our laws, endangering our citizens.

They need to go. Get them out of here. I want our county law enforcement to get rid of illegal aliens. I do not want them to come to California. They should not feel safe here. They need to go back to their home countries and come legally.

The county provides a citizens' guide, yet at the same time the county is teaching illegal aliens that they can reside in Los Angeles County without fear of punishment or retribution. When does this insanity stop?

We need law enforcement to ... enforce our laws. Why is this such a challenge for all of us? Why is this an issue for the LA County Sheriff?

And who is paying and prodding for this insanity to go forward unabated?

Torrance Conservatives Lose Mayor's Race Again. Who's to Blame?



Now I can write more freely about what happened with the Torrance Mayor's Race for Election 2018.

In 2014, two different members of the Scotto Team wanted to run for mayor after getting termed out from city council:

1. Tom Brewer
2. Bill Sutherland

Both candidates had run with Scotto in 2006 against the corrupt development projects forced on the city under Walker's regime. Dan Walker routinely violated the Brown Act, according to some sources, and he would pre-arrange the four other city councilmembers on his team to vote in such a way so that it would be a different set of four voters each time.

The massive building and construction in the city alarmed lots of voters, and the homeowners associations rose up to fight the cronyism--and they won.

Eight years later, Sutherland, Scotto, Furey, and Brewer were termed out and/or looking for higher office.

Brewer and Sutherland had met a few times to iron out their differences and find some way forward so that only one of them would run against Pat Furey for mayor. Nothing happened.

Bill Sutherland was dead to me in 2014 because in 2012, he had endorsed Al Muratsuchi for State Assembly. Not only that, but he had voted to appoint Democrat Kurt Weideman to the city council to replace Cliff Numark.

These decisions showed that Sutherland was more interested in himself and pushing his own ambitions rather than doing what was best for the city of Torrance. He had also floated an idea to raise the city sales tax by half a cent as one way to deal with the pension issues.

I supported Brewer, although even in 2014 he was low energy. He admitted that he was a moderate Republican too. A pro-choice Republican on abortion, for example, he also believed that Republican should give up on some of the divisive cultural issues in order to win over Millennial voters.

That kind of thinking does not generate or spring from a sense of leadership, boldness, or initiative. He was low-energy then, and he was low energy this year, too.

In 2017, Ron Riggs was the first candidate to throw his hat in the ring against Pat Furey for mayor. He had raised a significant sum of money for his campaign, too. Brewer then wanted to run a second time for mayor, and the two sides worked out a brief deal going forward. Riggs would change his mind and run for city council, and Brewer would endorse Riggs for city council, too.



Then Bill Sutherland jumped in to run again. Just as I had resisted his bid for council in 2014, so again I had no interest in supporting him. I wanted to help George Chen above all. I warmed up to Aurelio's campaign afterwards.

Then I got this sudden unpleasant news after I spoke to Ron Riggs a week after the deal had been struck. Brewer had backed away from his promise and chose to endorse Bill Sutherland. What a shame! Riggs was hurt, and I don't blame him. In turn, he changed his mind and chose to run for mayor once again.

For the next five months, I didn't make any endorsements for mayor or city council. I didn't know what to do about the mayor's race, since the two candidates were going to split the vote again and let Furey win re-election. Then came the Travis Allen-John Cox debate at the Marsee Auditorium in Torrance. Riggs was the only guy there. I also saw George Chen, but I didn't have a chance to speak with him.

At that point I decided to get behind Ron Riggs. He was the only one showing up to events. Brewer was low-energy as usual, and it seemed to me that he was more interested in coasting his endorsements and connections to the local political establishment as opposed to hustling to earn votes and victory.

If Brewer was such a strong candidate, why couldn't he clear the field to run for mayor? Such is the fallout when candidates run as a slate and set up machines. Scotto had worked with both men many times in the past. He expected some sort of fealty from them both, for sure.

What do you do, though, when human ambition rises again? The two cancelled each other before, and this time Sutherland's refusal to sunset quietly hurt their chances again. Such is the result of putting insider friendships and political power ahead of the best interests of the city of Torrance.

Let's face it. Brewer was never a strong candidate to begin with. He didn't host many events in 2014 or 2018. He wanted to make nice and not take strong stances on key issues. One voter told me last week that Brewer showed no interest in taking on SB 54. "The city doesn't deal with immigration issues that much", the voter reported to me.

In contract, both Aurelio Mattucci and George Chen made SB 54 a focal issue in their campaigns. George Chen spoke out about it right away in the debates. Aurelio added the issue to his campaign literature. This issue resonates with everyone in the state of California, whether for or against, and a growing community in Torrance wants the terrible law repealed and demand that the city come out against the law in every way possible.

Also, Mattucci and Chen worked hard, put their names out there, including signs and flyers. Aurelio addressed quality of life issues in the city, too, and featured on his flyers the steps he had taken to start cleaning up the city. I must say that the Western Ave. border of the city needs a lot more attention, but Aurelio took steps to deal with it.

George Chen's signs were EVERYWHERE, including North Torrance, well-known as the most Democratic section of the city (Torrance Dem President Jimmy Gow lives there, along with Pat Furey, Kurt Weideman, School Board member Terry Ragins, and others). Chen's church connections were instrumental, too, in getting Chen elected, no doubt.

To recap, Brewer was a lukewarm candidate at the outset, and he reneged a straightforward, principled agreement to support his competitor Ron Riggs if he would switch his campaign focus to the city council. Riggs was willing to play along, but then Sutherland stepped in and Brewer broke his promise.

Not acceptable.

If anyone deserves blame for Torrance conservatives' failure to win the mayor's seat, blame Tom Brewer. He didn't run a strong campaign, he didn't keep his promise to Ron Riggs, and he was more interested in resting on the laurels or efforts of endorsements and connections than doing the hard work of getting out there to rally voters and get the excited in his campaign.

Californians Want a Republican Form of Government



Art. IV, Sect. 4 -- The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

What is a republic?

  1. a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.
  2. a group with a certain equality between its members


The United States Government has a mandate to ensure this republican governance in every state, including California (not a GOP government, necessarily), a government in which the people rule through representatives. In the state of California, we citizens are not enjoying a republican form a or government. 



Here are clear reasons why:

Voter fraud is rampant.
Voter intimidation is becoming commonplace.
A regard for the will of individual voters has been displaced by a ruling class which legally extorts money from taxpayers (labor unions, specifically public sector unions).
The representatives of our government have routinely passed and enforced legislation contrary to the spirit and letter of the United States Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights: from assaults on the First Amendment and the Second Amendment, to disregard for federal authority in immigration matters.
Our representatives are limiting or outright cutting off our opportunities and means to petition our government for a redress of grievances, or to remove them from office and replace them with proper representatives.

Right now, citizens are not enjoying equality in California. Illegal aliens get away with crimes, including human trafficking. American citizens are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for even the most minor of offenses. Illegal aliens openly flout our nation's immigration and naturalization laws, but California citizens get prosecuted for trespassing on private property or recording events in a federal building within California boundaries.

We must make the case to every court and city council, and state representative that the current government in Sacramento has forfeited its authority and must be replaced.



The Declaration of Independence outlines these fundamental principles embedded within Article IV, Section 4 of the United States Constitution:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. 

Everyone of us must send a loud message to our representatives in Washington DC, including President Trump:

Californians Want (in both senses of the word) a Republican Form of Government

We lack it, and we desire it!

The federal government needs to step in and re-assert the rights of all citizens to a republican form of government in the state of California.

It’s OK to Be Uncivil to Save Our Civilization

For the past three months—and especially in the last two weeks, the fight to push for Trump’s agenda, especially in “Lost Cause/Blue Line” California has reached a feverish pitch. Our civilization, our Western World, Judeo-Christian culture is under attack, and I could not take time to write about it. I needed to fight it, and hard. I don’t say nice things anymore. I don’t worry about offending people. President Trump leads by example. It’s OK to be crude to make a point.
Our culture is under assault, folks. We don’t have time to be nice. The dangers are that precarious. When a kid is playing in the middle of the street, his father doesn’t make nice and beg. He grabs the kid and shrieks at him for his dangerous stupidity. “Don’t ever do that again!”



Islamic hordes are on the run in the Middle East. Why? Because our President vowed to “Bomb the hell out of ISIS!” Oh, but the President can’t use such language!” shriek the establishment pearl clutchers. It’s not nice, but it had to be said. Interestingly enough, he did not get offended, but listened to me. Yes, he can—and he’s doing his job, too. I got into a war of word with one Trump supporter over his “unpresidential rhetoric” on Twitter and in public. My answer? To quote the wildly successful Governor of Maine? “Tell ‘em to kiss my butt!”



There are barbarians at the gates. The radical Islamic world sees their chance to impose Sharia around the world. I say “No” to that. A friend of mine, a Muslim and Trump supporter, was offended when I posted this incredible debate from a UKIP leadership debate. This woman in exacting detail courageously explained for her audience that Islam is not a religion of peace. I did not apologize, but told him plainly “Islam is a cult”. I have no problem with Muslims who live peaceful lives, but I urge them to look deeply into the Koran, and they will find a mass of misconceptions and contradictions, with the final result of urging war against infidels and blind submission to Allah for all mankind.

So many church people have faulted me that such language is “unbecoming.” Do they read their Bibles? During His earthly ministry, Jesus did not mince words, calling the religious establishment “a brood of snakes and vipers.” He even shouted down one of his disciples when he told Him not to die on the Cross. Spare me the lecture about pious niceties. We as the arbiters and defenders of our civilization must not get caught up in the civility scam. Thomas Sowell said it so well: “If you are not prepared to use force to defend civilization, then be prepared to accept barbarism.”



I am prepared to be an uncivil civilian, and I don’t care who’s offended. This strong sentiment ran through my mind when I protested Maxine Waters’ town hall in Inglewood. My favorite poster for the occasion read “Maxine Waters: Go to Hell!” Spare me the civility garbage. Not interested.
I work with American Children First to target the utility user’s tax in sanctuary cities throughout California. We won’t wait for Attorney General Jeff Sessions. Cities flout federal immigration laws? They lose their revenue base. The Brown Supremacists throughout Los Angeles County are so angry since their lawless days are numbered.

Some of these Brown Supremacists have come to Torrance looking to cause trouble against me. “You play in our hood? We will play harder in yours!” Major fail! I have waited for these disruptive hatemongers to come to my city. They bring out the worst in my corrupt mayor, and therefore have made it easier to expose him and get him thrown out of office. By the way, my city became the largest yet in California to oppose Sanctuary State SB 54, the dreaded and horrific legislation which would give illegal aliens free reign to stay in my state after committing horrible crimes and taking space in our state’s prisons.

I say enough!

Yet at the same time, I got picked at and picked on by fellow warriors and even some church people. They don’t like some of the words that I use. Some of them do not like my tone. Leaders in the California Republican Party have repeatedly told me to watch the words that I say.
The illegal alien hordes have become so brazen in their arrogance. They announce in the streets that they are “Undocumented and Unafraid.” No, they are illegal aliens. Does that hurt your feelings? 
Good!

I was celebrating the Fourth of July in Santa Ana, California, a sanctuary city where 70% of the residents are of Hispanic descent. The skin color of the inhabitants and their children never prevented me from teaching others about our wonderful history. They made a big mistake. Those same hatemongers found that their shameful protest did not stop me. Now they run when I confront them about harassing parents and children.

Don’t be civil when people are shameful. Shame them right back! Double down! Punch back twice as hard.



And I have not reserved my bile for Democrats. Traitorous California Republicans have joined hands with this ruination. The Big Green scam is overtaking California. Instead of fighting, eight Republican legislators joined Sacramento Democrats to extend the corrupt, false, useless Cap and Trade program, the same Big Green Scam which died in Congress when Barack Obama was President and controlled both houses of Congress. It is just untenable to me how corrupt politics has become in my own state. Instead of taking it lightly, I realized that I have to declare political war on both parties.


Civility, accommodation, and playing nice with Republican and Democratic elected officials is over, especially GOP holdout-sellouts on repealing Obamacare. It’s time to take back our country. Making America great again is not about placating and pleasing everyone, but standing up for what is right, even if it means disrupting a few tea parties.

Speaker Paul Ryan Wants to Hear From You On Any Issues ... Except Immigration

Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has proved to stay in line with pushing amnesty and pathways to citizenship outside of already laid legal strictures.

In a 2013 colloquium with amnesty traitor Luis Gutierrez, Ryan announced that he wanted to place himself in the shoes of "immigrants" to understand what they are going through.



He has been a dedicated advocate for expansion of H-1B and other work vises for foreign nationals at the expense of hard-working Americans, and then 95 million who are out of work!

This is outrageous!

He tried to run away from Donald Trump, and now he is trying to undermine the rule of law and Trump's plans to build a border wall and deport illegal aliens.

He even assured an illegal alien "DREAMER" that she would not have to worry about deportation:

I called his office because I wanted to share my vocal displeasure with his continued empathy for illegal aliens but not for American citizens.

I got his voicemail, of course, but also a series of options for leaving a message on specific issues:

1. A Better Way Forward.This phrase represents a list of policy reforms which Speaker Ryan wants to tackle, including National Security.
2. President Obama's Health Care Law
3. Second Amendment
4. Tax reform
5. To hear Speaker Ryan's Statement on Iran
6. Leave a voicemail.

Notice that Speaker Ryan leaves nothing about sharing our views on Immigration!

There are more issues and concerns tied to immigration than just national security.

Americans are facing depressed wages and diminishing job opportunities.

Sanctuary cities are impelling American citizens, too.

The rule of law is under attack like never before -- and Yet Paul Ryan does not want to hear what Americans think about immigration?

Donald Trump got elected on a hard-line stance for immigration:

1.Build the wall
2. E-Verfiy
3. Welfare Reform
4. Triple the border patrol
5. Punish VISA overstays

This message is not hard to grasp.

He delivered an incredibly effective message in Arizona:



Congressmsan Ryan, I do want Obamacare repealed I want tax reform, and I want Second Amendment rights protected and expanded.

But most of all, I want immigration laws enforced in our country--in my country!

And you need to stop being blind and deaf to our concerns!

Texas House Speaker Straus: Sellout on Secure Borders, Sanctuary Cities, and Citizens

Texas House Speaker Joe Strauss is a fairly liberal legislative leader.

I have heard reports from a number of corners throughout the state of Texas that he is not the principled and direct as more conservative representatives throughout the state.

Sources among the conservative grassroots in the state of Texas have outlined to me how Straus relies on a massive warchest not just for his own elections, which he dispatches with relative ease. He helps other Republicans get elected to their legislative seats, and they return the favor by supporting him as Speaker of the House. 

Democrats like his liberal leanings on key issues, so they settle for him. With their 100% support, Straus does not need the majority of the majority of his caucus to win.

Breitbart Texas reported on the 2015 re-election of Joe Strauss ... with the strong help of Democratic lawmakers and why they work with a section of the Republican majority to elect him:

As the minority party, they [The Texas House Democratic caucus] do not have the numbers to elect one of their own as Speaker, but a number of them have admitted that they prefer Straus, who they view as more moderate, over his predecessor, Rep. Tom Craddick (R-Midland) or another conservative challenger.

More moderate? Democrats know how to organize and play their advantage, even in the minority. For the past two years, House and Senate votes often relied on the Democratic Party in order to pass in Washington DC, even though the Republicans are currently in charge of both chambers. Leadership should be passing legislation and advancing an agenda.

More reason to doubt Straus' speakership. More comments about his ascension in 2015:

Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) is now virtually guaranteed to be victorious in his re-election for Speaker, as thirty five more Republican State Representatives announced this week that they would endorse him. Straus has faced ongoing criticism that he has failed to advance a conservative legislative agenda that reflects the will of the Texas people on a number of key issues, most notably the issue of protecting the unborn.

Pro-life legislation still passed, although one source inform me that he has still operated behind closed doors to restore funding to Planned Parenthood, even after the state of Texas enacted the policy to stop taxpayer funding to the abortion mill which masquerades as a health service.

It's time for Republicans of all backgrounds to act on principle, and not just power. The Republican legislature should be leading the charge for an effective, aggressive agenda, one which serves the interests of all citizens, while diminishing the burdens of the state in our lives.

Guess what? Speaker Straus doesn't want to say much when it comes to enforcement of Texas' borders!


As thousands of illegal immigrants continue to cross the Texas-Mexico border each day, U.S. resources are strained and overwhelmed. A letter–dated May 2, 2014–addressed to Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, asks for increased law enforcement in border counties. Both Governor Rick Perry and Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst have signed the letter–Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus, however, still has not signed it.

Check this out... Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has repeatedly said he wants to eliminate the Texas program allowing certain undocumented immigrants to pay in-state college tuition that allows illegal aliens to pay tuition at the lower in-state rate, BUT Texas state house speaker Joe Straus said on Wednesday, Jan 4, that program is “perfectly acceptable”.

So, Straus wants to realize the dreams of illegals, but what about citizens, especially our young citizens who face unprecedented challenges to the life and welfare for their communities? They are finding fewer job prospects at this time 

It should not be a surprise that Speaker Straus sides with illegal aliens, since he has directly and indirectly opposed anti-illegal immigration efforts by the state. This is because Straus was elected and has maintained his Speaker position with the help of 100% of the Democrats in the Texas state house.

For example, Straus dragged his feet in 2014 in support of the funding for state law enforcement when there was a huge illegal alien surge on the south Texas border (SA Express-News 5/21/2014). He also had his house committee chairs ignore or defeat anti-illegal alien legislation like anti-Sanctuary Cities bills (WND 2/16/2016).

WHAT?!

This Speaker has to go, then! The Republican voters across the state of Texas did not send their representatives to Austin in order to continue with business as usual. With SIEU Texas going bankrupt, and religious conservatives rising up in strength, timid Republican representatives have no reason to fear, anyway.

Straus has the support of big money lobbyists that want cheap labor, the GOP Establishment that includes “professional” Hispanics who play the race card for their own benefit, the Democrats who want open borders and race-based politics, and the liberal mainstream media. Texas citizens and legal residents should ask Straus, “What’s the point of being a citizen or legal resident if illegal aliens, people who are in the state and country without permission, get the same benefits, privileges and rights?”

Exactly! When words lose their meaning, the people lose their liberty. Straus needs to protect the interests of legal residents and uphold the rule of law.

The election for Speakership takes place January 10. If Straus refuses to get in line with protecting privacy, biology, and our borders, then he needs to step down and resign his seat in Austin.

If Texas, or any other state, is ever going to stop illegal immigration, it must end any and all magnets that attract and keep illegal aliens in the state. Furthermore, states must stop excusing illegal immigration and rewarding illegal aliens in any form or fashion including, particularly in treating them as citizens and legal residents.

Right. The race card, the gender card, the slave card, the business card, all of them get outplayed by the "rule of law" card. It's just that simple.

I paid your way. You pave the way for me!


Texas state residents should call Speaker Straus’ office (512-463-1000) and demand that he support the termination of this tuition program that allows illegal aliens to be treated the same as citizens and legal state residents. If Straus refuses to take a lead and act, or if he “passes the buck” to one of his committee chairs, he should expose and voted out of office. Citizens and voters must be kept informed and aware of what the second most powerful politician in Texas, Speaker Joe Straus of San Antonio, does in his state leadership position.

Also, notice how the liberal San Antonio Express calls the illegal aliens “migrants” in its banner.

Remember, the defense of freedom and liberty starts in your backyard.

Assemblyman Hadley Exposes Crooked Al Muratsuchi's Desperate Lies


Crooked Al Muratsuchi is the epitome of Democratic desperation and corruption.

He has issued every perverted, fraudulent mailer once can imagine.

Al might announce to the South Bay public that David Hadley hates kittens and beats puppies.

Hadley released the following press release to correct the Muratsuchi Lies for good:

David Hadley Responds to Baseless Muratsuchi Attacks

Professional politicians have a saying: "If you're explaining, you're losing." Their thinking is that it's better to focus on your own message than to play defense by responding to attacks.

I think more elected officials should not be afraid to explain the truth to the voters, particularly when they are running against a desperate fraud like Al Muratsuchi.

That may be so, but I'm not a professional politician, I'm a citizen legislator. Our grassroots South Bay movement is not politics as usual - so many of you are my friends, neighbors, fellow Ed Foundation or AYSO parents, etc. It is important to me that you know the truth, either for your own peace of mind or so you can respond to your neighbors' concerns.

I apologize for the long email, but its length reflects the smear campaign my opponent, Al Muratsuchi, is running against me.

Allegations related to my business career
Allegation #1: "Violated money laundering rules"
Allegation #2: "Busted for illegal trading"
Allegation #3: "Hadley has a long record of breaking the law to benefit himself"

Verdict: Allegation #2 and Allegation #3 are completely false,Allegation #1 is so exaggerated as to be false.

Reality: I founded my business ("HPi") in 1999 and ran it full-time until I was elected to the Assembly. HPi was licensed, regulated and audited.

I am incredibly proud not only of the professional success of HPi, but of the legal and ethical way we did business. HPi advised over 100 companies and generated well over $10 million in firm revenue during this period, and some of our clients created thousands of new jobs.  Neither HPi nor I have ever been sued, threatened with legal action or accused of harming clients, investors or employees.

In HPi's entire history, our regulators found two bookkeeping errors over 10 years ago. First, in 2003, HPi arranged an investment by a Connecticut-based firm without realizing that Connecticut did not accept our national license. We applied for (and received) a Connecticut license after the fact and paid a small fine for our mistake. By the way, the investor made 4x their money and the company created hundreds of jobs with that investment!

They helped create a children's book!

Second, in 2005 during a routine audit, our regulators determined that HPi's money-laundering compliance practices had not kept pace with the new requirements that Congress passed after 9/11 (the USA PATRIOT Act). We upgraded our practices, paid a small penalty and were never again cited.

No money laundering took place or was alleged.

Crooked Al! Shame on Muratsuchi!

That's it. 15 years of successful business and a total of $8,500 in fines. I'm proud of my business career and ethical practices, and my opponent's attacks are false.

Big Government looks for any way possible to nickle and dime small businesses.

That's why we need a businessman--not a life-long political creature--in the state capitol.

Accusations related to campaign finance

Allegation #4: "Caught laundering $40,000 in illegal campaign contributions"

Verdict: We made an honest mistake and corrected it immediately.

Reality: Under California law political candidates are allowed to accept unlimited contributions from party committees. Al Muratsuchi is a champion of taking money from his party bosses - he has accepted over $1.8 million from party committees all over the state in just the last six weeks. That is how he pays to stuff your mailbox full of attack ads.

In 2014, my campaign accepted a $45,000 contribution from a party committee for the 66th Assembly District. My treasurer informed me the contribution was legal, so my campaign accepted it. After being served with a complaint, we learned that the state legal definition of "party committee" does not include Assembly District party committees, so we promptly returned $40,900 of the total to comply with contribution limits. The California Fair Political Practices Commission noted in our settlement that we accepted this contribution "without intent to deceive." When I make a mistake, I own it and I correct it.

Don't we need more people like that?

Allegation #5: "Currently under investigation - again"

Verdict: Yes, my 2016 campaign is under investigation again - because Al Muratsuchi filed a false and baseless complaint!

Wow! No kidding?! (*sarcasm)

Crooked Al is the king of baseless complaints. Why? Because his campaign is baseless!

These accusations are false and will be shown to be false in the course of the investigation. But Muratsuchi has already gotten what he wanted; a headline about my campaign being investigated.

Allegation #6: "Hadley took the oil companies' money and then did their bidding"

Verdict: The most dishonest of all of Muratsuchi's campaign finance allegations.

Yes.

Reality: I have raised more money from individual donors who live in the district I represent than any other legislator or legislative candidate anywhere in the state. My opponent's campaign is entirely dependent on the California Democratic Party.

That's right, and let's not forget that all of that money comes from special interests, including the very oil companies which Crooked Al claims to despise:



Oil and energy companies account for about 2% of the funds I have raised in this campaign. I have received well over ten times as much financial support from South Bay residents as I have from energy companies. So even if you accept Muratsuchi's slander that my vote is for sale (it is not), I am proud to say that South Bay residents have greatly outbid any interest group for that vote!

I am one of his bidders!

I have been a strong vote on environmental issues. I was one of only two Republicans in the legislature to vote to increase renewable energy to 50% of the state's electricity by 2030. I will continue to oppose offshore oil-drilling. I am committed to ensuring that the Torrance refinery is operated safely and transitions away from hydrofluoric acid and MHF. I will continue to be the voice of the South Bay, not the tool of any interest group.

Fine with me. By the way, his vote for SB 350 came with clear concessions from the regressive, Big Green Left.

Al Muratsuchi is the candidate in this race who is engaged in (legal) money laundering. He self-righteously proclaims that he does not accept oil company contributions. But he has accepted well over $1.8 million from committees that have received over $1 million from oil companies. This is the very definition of money laundering - concealing the true origins of money by transferring that money through intermediate entities.

A few particularly egregious falsehoods about my legislative record

Allegation #7: "David Hadley voted to cut $101 billion from California public schools"

Verdict: Laughably false.

Reality: I voted against the overall budget bill, because I do not support many of the misguided priorities of the majority in the legislature - just to pick one of many examples, spending money on high speed rail. But under California's constitution (Proposition 98, passed in 1988), public education receives a guaranteed portion of the state's general fund revenue. I voted in favor of the "budget trailer" bill that determines how those education funds will be spent and that bill included increasing education funds for our South Bay public schools.

Right on.

Democrats use this misleading tactic all the time against prudent legislators.

The budget is a composite whole, riddled with bad spending and misplaced priorities. There is no way to vote for parts of the budget and against other parts.

Either you vote for the whole thing, or you do not.

I want an assemblyman who won't get along to go along.

I want an assemblyman with an A rating from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association who will protect Prop 13 and allow me to keep as much of my hard-earned cash as possible.

Allegation #8: "David Hadley is anti-choice."

Verdict: False. The following has been on www.DavidHadley.com since early 2014: "David Hadley believes - as a matter of law - that women and couples have the right to make their own decisions about pregnancies. He is personally opposed to abortion as birth control, he'll vote against partial birth abortion and he favors parental notification because state law should strengthen the family unit." 

This is how I have voted in the Assembly.

We should also extend credit where credit is due.

He voted against a law forcing pregnancy centers to inform patients how to get an abortion.

He has an F from Planned Murderhood, too.

Let's face it. Crooked Al is anti-life. Case Closed.

Conclusion

It is easy to tell a lie or distort the truth. It is particularly easy when you have seemingly unlimited funds to do so.

Truth overcomes lies every time!

I remain what I have been since I introduced myself to the South Bay - a man of integrity trying to bring common sense to Sacramento as your voice. My track record in Sacramento is one of balance.
