May 18, 2017 Beach Cities Republicans Meeting: The Remembrance Project

The Beach Cities Republicans continues to hold strong meetings and engage people from all over Los Angeles County, even in the state of California, to get into the game and Make California Great Again.

The Trump Train is forging ahead throughout the country, and even in California, there is growing hope--and opportunity, that Republicans and Trump supporters of all other backgrounds can get on board to take back the Golden State from the phalanx of corrupt special interests looking out for their own interests--at the expense of the public interest.

For the May Meeting, a number of guests stepped up to share their views and their fight for our country and our President.

We had an incredible turnout that night!

This video contains the first part of the Beach Cities Republicans meeting:

Joseph Turner of American Children First addressed the audience:

He has been the spear-head for many pro-immigration enforcement initiatives throughout the state of California. His initiative process to pass ordinances to ban the hire of illegal aliens in local cities, and to prevent landlords from renting out their facilities to illegal aliens.

Now he's targeting Torrance, CA, telling the city council that if they do not pass a resolution condemning SB 54, then he will go after the city's utility user's tax, which accounts for 20% of the citiy's revenue.

Jo Reitkopf of Make California Great Again showed up to get everyone excited about turning Califonria Red for Election 2020. This team of hard-working organizers and activists has already combined outreach with key demographics across the state.

She also highlighted and praised Andrew Reeder's efforts to coordinated LA for Trump team members for events in Berkeley ... and other states!

Matthew Woods showed up, too!

And he brought one of his great signs, too!

Our featured speakers were the members of the Remembrance Project.

California Director Robin Hvidston:

Raul Rodriguez of  America First Latinos:

Betty Robinson of Tustin. She keeps a tally of every American who has been killed by an illegal alien since Kate Steinle's death in September, 2015:

Then Angel Mom Agnes Gibboney spoke:

The account of her struggles with illegal immigration, and how painfully close to home they hit and her family, are moving beyond words.

Check out her moving remarks during this part of the meeting:

Matthew Woods of LA County for Trump talked about First Amendment rights, and the steps that we can take to reregister voters and take back California. All of us are furious with what's happening in teh state of California. High taxes and fees, wasteful spending on the boondoggle crazy train. The pandering and pre-eminence of illegal aliens has infuriated the vast majority of California residents.

So, let's change the numbers and get good candidates to run for office!

Here are some other great people who attended the meeting:

Miriam Fogler and Robin Hvidston
Miriam drove 2 hours to attend this meeting because she wanted to see the Remembrance Project

Valeria Kennedy wants to stop illegal immigration!

Christine Williams and Agnes Gibboney

Ken Hartley
Please take a look at the uilts and the posters from The Remembrance Project, in which the 50-state movement represents the countless lives lost to illegal aliens, because our federal government refuses to enforce our immigration laws.

Press Release: Re: Revocation of BCR Charter by RPLAC reported in the Daily Breeze

To the South Bay community and California voters, conservatives and freedom-fighting liberals:

The Daily Breeze reported on the destructive and unjust decision of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County Central Committee (RPLAC for short) to revoke the charter of the Beach Cities Republicans.

Tracy Hopkins, Milton Herring, Geoff Rizzo, and Arthur Schaper
The middle three were endorsed for Torrance City Council
AND THEY WON!

This decision was an arbitrary attack against our club and our leadership. Strangely enough, the revocation occurred in Mid-January, but the Daily Breeze chose to report on this situation a month later.

Despite petty attacks and jealous infighting, the Beach Cities Republicans is standing strong.

We are bold, brazen, and building our party. We will remain Republicans, even though our former leadership did not measure up to that responsibility.

RPLAC has failed to register voters, fundraise, or organize. In effect, they are not an effective Central Committee. These glaring failures have now turned into immoral liabilities, as the county leadership chooses to attack volunteer clubs rather than reach out to voters, shape the culture, and win elections.

Their reasons for trying to remove me or others from leadership is unfounded and still very much a mystery. Anyone who reads the article by the Daily Breeze will note that RPLAC did not provide reasons for revoking our charter—because ultimately they cannot.

Despite formal and factual errors in the Daily Breeze article, the article highlights BCR’s influence, and the light shining on the corrupt RPLAC operatives is much needed.

Secretary-Treasurer Tracy Hopkins
A few facts for the public to know:

1. BCR is still very active and involved. We meet every third Thursday at the Torrance Sizzler on Sepulveda Bvld. Please join us!

2. Our membership is GROWING—five people registered to join in one week.

3. We are inviting more powerful guests and candidates from all over LA County.

4. We have continued to showcase and support local candidates—including the celebrated city councilwoman Martha Barbee of Redondo Beach.

Arthur Schaper--BCR President (left)
Omar Navarro--First Vice President (left)
5. We encourage all active Republicans to join our club—and our cause!—to Make California Great Again! Or Make California Red Again.

Per support from state leadership, ee are fully permitted to retain our title and our logo—and more people have contacted me to support BCR against the corrupt and increasingly irrelevant RPLAC leadership.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me at: arthurschaper@hotmail.com

God bless the BCR!

God bless Donald Trump!

Let’s Make California Great Again!

Perennial US Senate Candidate Al Ramirez Called ME "WHACK": Why?

Shortly after the "Republican" Party of Los Angeles County executive board voted to revoke the charter of the largest, most successful volunteer Republican club in Los Angeles County, the RPLAC Twitter feed released the following

Then  the perennial US Senate candidate Al Ramirez of Santa Monica commented to Chris Cadelago:

"It's because their president is whack."

Then added: "The club used to be great, not what is used to be."

I wanted to understand why Al Ramirez called me "whack".

Instead of showing sense of courage, he deleted the tweet, then blocked me.

Give me a break!

RINO-PLAC GOP of Los Angeles County Double Standards

You have to see it to believe it.

Christopher Castillo, former Republican Congressional candidate and wannabe La Raza activist, endorsed a score of Democrats, especially in races where a Republican was running:

Then it just gets just plain stupid:

Where was the denunciation against these traitors?

Castillo is an advocate for the Republican Hispanic Assembly in the state of California.

Then nothing was done about them!

NOTHING!

Chris ... endorse whomever you want!
Arthur, though, we're taking his charter!

I do whatever Charles Munger
Tells me to ....

Gary SCAM-in-off
By the way ...

Aminoff pressured me earlier last year to allow Castillo to speak at the Beach Cities Republicans, even though Castillo was a liberal GOP and was by then colluding with the corrupt John Paul Tabakian.

What is the matter with these people? Don't they want to Make California Great Again?

The county "leadership" supports allowing liberal "progressive" Republicans to support Democrats, including a representative for the National Hispanic Republican Assembly ... but pulled the charter for the Beach Cities Republicans for allowing a Libertarian candidate to speak at the club.

Double Standard!

Let's face the truth. They didn't like our clubs activism. They did not like that we were producing results and stirring up controversy. The truth is it's time for conservatives to double down and stand their ground on principle, rather than caving to the culture.

Anyone who is too cowardly to fight, needs to step down and go away.

RINO-PLAC Has Revoked Other Charters, Too? (RINOS!)

RINO-PLAC is falling apart.

The "Republicans" in Los Angeles County are more interested in shutting down other Republicans rather than registering more Republicans are taking over the state of California.

That is just sad!

They have a rogue history of threatening the charters of other Republican clubs, not just the Beach Cities Republicans.

I spoke with one group in Eastern Los Angeles County over the last three months.

They faced rogue threats, then took their game somewhere else.

Then I received this tweet:

No wonder Republicans keep losing or face more hardships than they should.

What kind of leadership just arbitrary pulls the charter and tries to shut down clubs which are trying to engage the base, expand the brand, and enlarge their influence?

RINOS!

Beach Cities Republicans will not be deterred. We are riding the waves of discontent and hanging ten to win!

RINO-PLAC Fail: Call for Volunteers, AFTER Revoking Charter for Largest Volunteer GOP Club in LA County!

More bumbling from RINO-PLAC leadership.

They announce that the Beach Cities Republicans is no longer a Republican club

Uh ... no!

They rushed through hasty and arbitrary  charges against us, when previous BCR Presidents had violated the same by-laws and nothing was done to them.

They had non-Republicans speaking at their clubs, and the RPLAC leadership never bothered to say anything.

Mark Vafiades then explained and unexplained that I could or could not allow non-Republicans to speak at the club but that I could not lend support to them

But before that, Jason Maruca, the over-paid executive director of the RPLAC had told me that I could personally endorsed non-Republicans, but could not endorse them in my capacity as President of the Beach Cities Republicans.

Are you confused? I know that I am.

The Central Committee Chairwoman Janice Webb was trying to get rid of me as far back as August. Why wasn't she raising money and registering more Republicans instead?

HUH?!

Have these people forgotten why they are in a central committee in the first place?

So, the Beach Cities Republicans is a succesful club with a growing membership and great guests.

And RPLAC's response? Revocation of our charter.

The Beach Cities Republicans served as a huge repository of volunteers.

But they just pushed aside and said "We don't need you or want you!"

Well. well. well.

SAD!

RINO--PLAC Conspiring to Rob the Beach Cities Republicans of Members?

Just before the "Republican Party of Los Angeles County (Henceforth known as RINO-PLAC) unceremoniously and unjustly revoked the charter for the Beach Cities Republicans, I received this tip from an active Republican working the South Bay-Harbor region.

The Facebook comment thread included the following remarks:

John Stammreich -- I got a message yesterday that RPLAC was advising local beach city Republicans to not join BRC and for certain members to resign from it! What the hell is going on?! BRC is a chartered organization within RPLAC and RPLAC officers are required by its Bylaws to support its chartered organizations. The officers who are engaged in this division should be required to step down. I don't have names yet, but my source is a VERY credible elected official! I would trust this person with my kids!

Arthur C. Schaper -- Thank you also for your support. This is just sad! No wonder Republicans are hurting right now in the state of California. If local leaders act like this, who needs Demo-rats?

Sandra Goetz -- so tired of their games....such a losing strategy.

Well, guess what?

In the last two days, The Beach Cities Republicans added at least seven more members to our roster.

At the Inaugural breakfast, three more people signaled their interest in joining.

Shame on the RINO-PLAC leaders for discouraging and threatening locally elected officials and current members not to join.

Unlike RINOPLAC, the Beach Cities Republicans has been doing stuff to build the conservative movement and get people excited about being Republicans, even in deep blue California!

But now the ugly head of RINOPLAC rears itself.

No wonder Los Angeles County has been in such a mess! The leadership charged with registering voters, organizing the vote, and teaching our values has been missing in action, Instead, they have been turning their guns on fellow Republicans, particularly the base, the grassroots, the activists.

Shame on them!

Beach Cities Republicans November, 2016 Meeting: Michael Ramirez and More!

November 17th, 2016.

This even was the evening to cap off the year!

The BCR Board would have our elections, and we had a wonderful, special guest:

The Pulitzer-prize winning Political Cartoonist Michael Ramirez!

Guests from all over Southern California attended our meeting!

Here are more scenes from the November, 2016 BCR meeting:

Dr. Robert Newman opened up our meeting in prayer:

Rachelle Mand talked about her ACT meeting and the fight against Islamic extremism:

BCR Board elections followed.

There were three contested offices (of sorts)

Aurelio Mattucci of the Unified Small Business Alliance was running a second time for BCR President.

He has a lot of great ideas.

I outlined what has been happening with the club, and how the numbers are growing. We have had wonderful guest speakers, including that night with Michael Ramirez.

I also talked about our movement to build up our movement and make us more effective as a conservative community in the South Bay.

Both of us spoke for three minutes.

Three questions from the audience followed.

Then Peter Michel and Omar Navarro spoke to the club. The two of them were running for First VP. Whoever lost would be made the Second VP.

They laid out their intentions to streamline the process for the club, improve membership and outreach.

After the vote, Michael Ramirez spoke to the club!

He gave an incredible speech about his role as a journalist as well as political cartoonist.

He talked about his long history in this profession, and the necessity to make fun of our leaders as part of holding them accountable.

Here is a lengthy succession of videos recording his speech to the club, followed by a slide of some of his cartoons:

Final Reflection

At the end of the meeting, I was re-elected President.

I was really thrilled! So glad to be back in the fight!

Omar Navarro will continue as First Vice-President

Peter will serve as Second VP.

Tracy Hopkins will  be our new Treasurer.

I counted about seventy people in the room.

Michael Ramirez brought two of his books to sell, and people lined up to purchase.

I saw people who had not been to meetings in a while. It was good to see more people coming!

Thanks again for attending, Mr. Ramirez!

And here is Michael Ramirez with our new Second-VP Omar Navarro:
