A dedicated group of pro-family people can make a difference even in difficult locales!

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is a loathsome propaganda routine where men dress up in garish women’s clothes and read offensive LGBT story books to young children. It’s showing up across America in public libraries and other venues. Its stated goals are to push “gender fluidity” on kids, give them “glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models,” and help them be “their true selves” with “no gender restrictions.”

Far-left San Francisco is where the Drag Queen Story Hour movement originated.

Redwood City is located just south of San Francisco and north of Palo Alto. Not surprisingly, it’s a very liberal and strongly pro-LGBT area. But in fact, there is a sizeable (but mostly-silent) cohort of pro-family conservatives throughout the Bay area. MassResistance has connected with many of them in Redwood City and neighboring cities.

So last month when word got out that the Redwood City Public Library was holding a Drag Queen Story Hour, local conservatives decided it was time to do something effective. One of them contacted us. She told us that last year, some locals showed up and protested outside the library to voice their disapproval when the toxic event took place. But it had no effect.

We got right to work and helped them devise a new strategy.

 The Redwood City Public Library probably thought this year's drag event would be a breeze!

Sending a message that something was coming!

This time, we made it very clear to the library staff and the event’s organizers that pro-family activists in town were planning something in opposition.

First, one of our people specifically asked the library staff to give us as much information as possible about the event. Who was going to be the drag queen? (We definitely wanted to do a background check.) Who else was going to be involved? What books would be read? What else was going to take place?

No one at the library would reveal any of this. Instead, the library director said to contact the main organizer: Drag Story Hour in San Francisco. Our people (who identified themselves as MassResistance) emailed the San Francisco chapter and asked those questions. They never heard back.

But just asking those questions clearly alarmed the organizers. They surely already knew that MassResistance had a history of success derailing DQSH events across the country.

On the day before the event, our local leader went to the library to see where the story hour was going to take place. The staff directed her upstairs to the kids’ reading area, which had room for about 30 seats. The fact that we scouted the room signaled that some kind of bigger protest might happen.

The organizers apparently got the message and decided to back off from their extreme content.

On the day of the Drag Queen Story Hour, about a dozen of our group descended on the library.

Half of them arrived an hour before the 11:00 starting time so they could get front-row seats. They brought small signs and prepared to hold them up when the event began. The first thing they noticed was that police officers were already in the otherwise empty room. But they did not prevent our people from going in and taking the front seats on one side.

 When the pro-family people showed up early there were two police officers stationed in the room. But that didn't stop our folks!

The police were there in the beginning, but left right when it started. As one of our people observed, it was clear that the library wanted to intimidate us from disrupting (which we weren't going to do anyway) or from being in there at all.

Our other activists arrived a few minutes before 11:00 am and held signs outside the front doors.

A handful of pro-LGBT activists with small children, about 25 in all, came to the DQSH event. (We suspect many of them most likely go to other DQSH events to show “support.”)

A severely watered-down “Drag Queen” show

The person who showed up to read to the kids was not a Drag Queen! Instead, it was a woman wearing lots of make-up and an outsized dress. She read two innocuous (and uninteresting) children’s books with no sexual or LGBT messaging. Between reading the books, she did lead the kids in “The Hips on the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish ….” – a noxious version of a popular toddler’s song. (There was vague innuendo here and there – but no child would have noticed it.) She also sang an inoffensive song.

 This time the "Drag Queen" was just an odd-looking woman who read mundane books to the kids.

Everyone – even the leftists – must have noticed that it was starkly different from the usual DQSH event! We were certainly surprised!

Throughout the entire story time, our activists’ protest was restrained, low-key, civil, and without disruptions. This probably irked the leftists.

And some good cheer afterwards to celebrate

After the event, some of our MassResistance group met at a uniquely conservative coffee shop located not far from the library for a small celebration. Apparently, it even features guest visits by Republican politicians and pundits – and doesn’t get burned down by the Left!

Final thoughts

If pro-family activists can pull this off in a far-left corner of America, it could be done anywhere!

For a first-time protest inside the Redwood City Public Library, our California MassResistance team did a great job. As noted above, Redwood City is not much different from San Francisco itself: Residents, local businesses, and politicians wholeheartedly celebrate the LGBT agenda, along with all the other “woke” ideologies. In spite of that overall hostile atmosphere, our activists made sure that the opposition to Drag Queen Story Hour got through loud and clear!

As one of the MassResistance people who took part told us afterwards, “I firmly believe that if none of us had shown up the way we did, the drag queen would have been a man and would have launched right into children’s story books with homosexuality, transgenderism, and worse. We definitely got into their heads!”

The whole "let's decriminalize drugs" push has massively failed, as well. Look what has happened in San Francisco, where drug dealers and low-level criminals daily deal and dose drugs in the street! This is beyond madness. How could any progressive really believe that this was the smart way to deal with drug addiction?!

Brooke Jenkins recognizes (to an extent) that drug deals cannot get away with this madness anymore if San Francisco is going to have any semblance as a safe city once again.

HIV spread rapidly among homosexuals because of the inherently damaging effects of sodomy plus the promiscuity. Now monkeypox is going to spread the same way.

Yes, Senator Weiner, people like you do need to be shamed. A sense of right and wrong needs to be restored in the public square, otherwise people won't stop engaging in the wrong and start doing the right.

The LGBT militants defy the laws of nature and nature's God. They are paying a necessary price. No one can thrust their hands in the fire, then turn around and say "I claim the freedom to be unburned." That's not how it works. You and I have free choice, but we cannot choose freedom from the consequences.

ROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - The Wuhan virus is wiping out gay pride parades on a global scale with over 170 LGBT+ events and pride festivals now canceled or indefinitely postponed.

One of the latest reports informed us that the Gay Pride parade was cancelled -- yes CANCELLED -- in San Francisco. More winning! This was thought unthinkable, but it happened!

"It's very clear that this pandemic is going to have a huge impact on our movement," says Kristine Garina, president of the European Pride Organizers Association (EPOA).

YES. This is what we needed. This is precisely what I had wanted to see for a long time. There is nothing to be proud of, honestly, but certainly so much which deserves ire and shame. Why do people who abuse their bodies in private insist on celebrating this destruction in public? They are desperate to make the world like and celebrate something which even they know in their own bodies is wrong.

So many former gay activists, and ultimately ex-gays, have clearly testified that they know their misue of their bodies is aberrant and erroneous. "God did not make me gay," declared Alessio Lizzio in one testimony. "I knew it was a lie, but I wanted to believe that lie."

"It is ironic that over the last few decades, various politicians, presidents, prime ministers, mayors, archbishops and other bigots have done their best to thwart and cancel pride parades, but it was Mother Nature who succeeded," Garina laments.

Thank God the Father for Mother Nature. 

Homosexuality and other aberrant LGBT behaviors are an affront to God's Natural Order.

It is only right, well, and good that the laws of nature would come down hard on shameful events like the Pride festivals.

Pride organizers, who have set up a COVID-19 International Coordination Group, are devastated that the Chinese virus is "bringing unprecedented challenges for the pride movement."

Wow! At least Church Militant is not afraid to call COVID-19 "The Chinese Virus", or at least one could call the plague the CCP Virus after the corrupt, evil Chinese Communist Party.

"We shouldn't be surprised pride organizers are frustrated at canceling these events," Catholic theologian Gavin Ashenden told Church Militant.

They deserve to feel this frustration. Finally, someone is disciplining this unruly horde, putting an and to this abuse of public space and indivdual liberty.

"The pride movement is many things, but it is at its heart an exercise in power that seeks to impose on society a false and perverse anthropology," the former chaplain to the Queen observed. "As we draw the theological dots we recognize that this frustration derives from a spiritual rebellion that is enraged by any constraint on its autonomy."

This is an excellent observation. The whole LGBT movement is about tyranny, not truth, about lust, not love, about hate, not help. The Coronavirus problem has fully exposed their perverse machinations to the world. GOOD!

Dr. Ashenden explained: "The irony of the term 'pride' is not lost on us because it has always been a celebration of a spiritual vice which is pride — a vice that brooks no opposition. It is ironic, therefore, that only an outbreak of the plague can contain this mass-expression of human hubris and expose it for what it is."

Human pride has fallen, and there is no bringing it back up. The human frailities and vices cannot withstand the truth of God's natural and loving order. Pride comes before a fall. Satan fell from heaven because of his pride, in that he insisted on reigning above the LORD Himself.

Ashenden, a recent convert from Anglicanism, remarked:

St. Paul starkly warns in Romans 1 of God's wrath being revealed against all who pervert the truth. Gay pride represents a perversion of nature. Nature now appears to have acted as an agency of God's wrath — and where moral voices protesting against pride failed to halt the marches, Mother Nature instead has ruthlessly ended them.  

I do not believe that God's wrath is being visited upon the world now, but only because of God's Own Son. He took all the wrath of God against man's sin. Still, God is not suspending His natural law. If man insists on exercising his freedom to put his hand into fire, he cannot blame God when his hand gets burned. So too, man cannot blame God for his sexual perversions. God sent His Son to take away our sin, our shame, and the bondage of sin which keeps us trapped. No one has to suffer in silence or under a stronghold of sexual temptations.

More than 170 LGBT+ pride parades have announced cancellations of the events, according to a regularly updated spreadsheet on the EPOA website. Many more are expected to follow suit in the coming days. 

News just keeps getting better and better.

EPOA's Steve Taylor said he had expected up to 1,000 pride celebrations to take place in Europe alone in 2020.

Large-scale gay parades from the "One Big Pride" in Manila, Philippines to "Wagga Wagga Mardi Gras" in Wagga Wagga, Australia have downed their shutters.

I can't believe that the Phipillines even tolerates Gay Pride. The Philippines is a resolutely conservative, very Catholic nation. The current president, Rodrigo Duterte, used to be homosexual himself, but gave up the behaviors. He now has a family, and he is incensed at the attacks on the family. The Supreme Court of the Philippines also dismissed an attempt by legislative activists to overturn the opposition to homosexuality and broaden the definition of marriage to same-sex couples. More countries like the Philippines are recognizing that the LGBT agenda is about more than "love is love". It's time for the residents in these countries to rise up and for good and denounce these perverse displays of self-loathing for good!

At least 25 states in the United States, including eight parades in California alone, have announced they will not go ahead. Los Angeles pride's 50th anniversary event has also been postponed.

I am so glad to have witnessed and documented the systematic shutting down of Gay Pride parades and other festivals throughout the state of California. This state, above many others, has been the epicenter of epic defiance against self-promoting, self-loathing homosexual and transgender voyeurism. Enough is enough!

However, Peter Lawrence Kane, communications manager for San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade and Celebration, says that "Pride 50 will go on as scheduled on June 27–28, although we are beginning to look at options for what the celebration and parade might look like if the current period of social distancing continues for more than a few weeks."

No, it won't. All their talk about overcoming this evil is going to fall flat. Their pride is being brought low, exactly as was needed. A massive update and correction is needed for this part of the report, of course! San Francisco Gay Pride has been cancelled for the year! YES!

Similarly, while Brighton Pride, Britain's most popular festival, hopes the event is expected to go ahead in August, London's Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan announced that the capital city's parade and events, which "are a key time of celebration and solidarity with our LGBTQ+ community," would be "postponed until it is once again safe for us to celebrate together."

At least 55 other pride events in different parts of the United Kingdom have canceled their parades. Pride celebrations have also been mothballed in Brazil, Spain, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Japan, Norway, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, Estonia, Romania, Greece, Singapore, Ukraine and South Africa. 

Singapore doesn't have parades, but their Pink Dot assembly has been cancelled. I can't believe Japan has a Gay Pride parade, too, but there you have it. What is the matter with these countries? To the best of my knowledge, the same nations which are struggling with low birth rates also have extensive amount of homosexual promotion and propaganda. Yes, there is a strong correlation to all of this.

Meanwhile, the Northern Italian cities of Parma and Vincenza, at the epicenter of the epidemic, have both canceled their pride events. Umbria, in central Italy, has also canceled. Milan and Rome have yet to announce if the June events will go ahead.   

Italians should be militantly opposing this parade of perversion. The country suffers from one of the lowest birthrates in the world, and they only made it worse by normalizing homosexuality and transgenderism on an unprecedented scale.

The Isle of Man, which was expecting its first-ever parade in June 2020, has also been forced to scrap the show. 

The Isle of Man is going to remain the Isle of ... men and women, not transgenders, queers, and deviants.

Poznań and Kraków in Poland have also been forced to abort the parades. Pride marches in 2019 turned blasphemous with anti-Catholic LGBT activists profaning the Blessed Sacrament by carrying an imitation monstrance in the form of a vagina topped by a gold crown.

Thank goodness that there was young boy who stood up to this evil madness to oppose it:

LGBT parades also profaned the icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa by depicting her with a rainbow for a halo.

This defense of these corrupted pageants cannot go by without proper rebuke:

"Pride has come to symbolize several things: the long history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer dignity; the freedom of all people to meaningfully and proudly express their sexual and gender identities; and the commitment of LGBT people to combating oppression," the San Francisco pride website proclaims.

"Freedom"? Indeed, these behaviors are borne out of an unquenchable lust. There is no liberty when a man or a woman is driven to abuse his body in pursuit of carnal satisfaction from someone of the same sex. The complementarity of love belongs to one man and one woman in any physical relationship. No one else can have that. Marriage cannot be beyond one man and one woman.

"For Christians, part of the problem of the gay pride movement is that we are being presented with one thing in the name of cosmetic compassion whilst we are at the same time shown completely different," Dr. Ashenden commented, adding:

The gay pride culture is one of celebrating lascivious and unbridled sexuality, which it does in the public face of our Children. Trying to disguise this lasciviousness with a call to compassion fools some of the public but has no effect on the Christian community's evaluation of the moral hierarchy that the gay pride movement assumes.

There is no compassion for abuse of children. There can be no compassion when a movement so hell-bent on destroying the family is hurting so many children in the process. How many more young people have to be deprived of a mother and a father? How many countries have to be plagued with venereal disease and the loss of human capital? How many more adults must live in the lie that cannot satisfy their deepest hunger, their deepest thirst?

Final Reflection

We need more good news like this.

Yes, the COVID-19 outbreak has shut down businesses across the country, and we need to hope that everyone will be able to get back to normal as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we should recognize and celebrate that all sorts of sexual perversion and depravity were also put on hold throughout the world. I agree with a number of pro-family activists on one particular note:

I do not want the world to go back to normal, to go back to the way things were. I want the sexual perversion, rampant criminal lawlessness, and outright depravity to be removed from the public square. I hope and pray that residents, citizens in general, and parents in particular speak out without reserve to affirm, protect, and enhance their rights against a tyrannical, abusive, government.

I wish above all that a growing pro-family, anti-LGBT militancy springs out of the rest that took place around the world, and that partisans champion biological truth and Biblical revelation against sexual profligacy and depravity for good!

John Cox for Governor: Speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition (Photos and Video)

The Republican Jewish Coalition hosted a meet-n-greet with John Cox, the Republican nominee for Governor of the State of California.

I was invited through a friend, since the event sold out of tickets within a relatively short amount of time.

I didn't know what to expect, although I can't say that I was completely impressed with Cox' presentation.

He offered the argument that he would spend much of his time reaching out to Independents and disaffected Democrats. That argument makes sense, since he needs a majority, and Decline-to-State/Independent Voters are now greater than Republicans in terms of registration.

Can Cox turn around the terrible falling trajectory of the state of California?

Let's hope so!

Hi Arthur,

Working at the ____ ______ _______ in San Francisco, California, I have to say that conservative voices in California are not as few as many pre-suppose.  Thank you for lending your voice to the many, many concerns I see every day.  I wish there was a decent conservative presence in the North Bay Area to work with.  Of course, I need to avoid any appearance of a Hatch Act violation.

Between you and Kurt Schlichter, I have plenty to read concerning shenanigans in California.  I look forward to hearing more from you and if you are ever speaking in the North Bay Area, my wife and I would love to get a heads up!

So, all the liberal techies in the Bay Area who love illegals, who want to hug a tree before they care for a human being, are all suddenly up in arms about mass immigration.

H-1B Visas have been pushing out qualified American software and computer engineers for decades. Now they are all fighting back, wanting to put their needs and the needs of Americans ahead of cheap foreign workers who get bullied and threatened to work for sub-par wages.

If companies are willing to work in the United States, they need to hire American workers in the United States. If even San Francisco Millennials understand this, than maybe there is hope for our state after all!

After Willie Brown was forced out of the state assembly because of term limits, he set his sight on the mayorality of San Francisco.

He ran "The City" for eight years. "It never rains down on Willie Brown" was the word on the street.

Then he was pushed out with Gavin Newsom taking over. The left-wing insanity of San Francisco is going to run this seat into the ground. Lo and behold, Brown is a guest columnist for the diminishing San Francisco Chronicle.

What's really interesting is that he makes a clear appeal to the checks and balances of our constitutional republic, but at the same time he has embraced every left-wing, progressive tenet of governance, which is contrary to everything that he and most San Franciscans hold dear.

For those of you who aren’t crazy about President Trump, the good news as we wrap up his first year in the White House is how the courts and federal bureaucracy have kept him from running the country completely off the rails.

That bureaucracy is getting drained faster than the progressive liberals in Washington can realize or keep up. The courts are another matter, however, and need to be confronted aggressively. Some of these federal judges defy common sense and jurisprudence, as they routinely strike down President Trump's executive orders on immigration and public safety, as though every move he makes is unlawful. What a pack of lies.

The bad news, for Democrats, is that he will serve out his term and run for re-election. People hoping he’ll resign or be thrown out of office are dreaming.'

Of course he will run for re-election, and of course he will win. No one likes a loser, and with President Trump in the White House, everyone is feeling like a winner again, even if they rich liberals won't admit that Trump's economic policies have helped them get a whole lot richer.

One of the interesting twists of Trump’s first year is that the very system he wanted to tear down coming into office has kept him from going down in flames himself.

Wrong. The system he is tearing down is the very Deep State that was keeping Big Business, Big Labor, and Big Wall Street taking advantage of the vast majority of working people in the United States. One would think that the Democratic Party would stop doing the bidding of corporate cronies and actually care about the well-being of working class Americans. But let's face it: Democrats only care about more power, nothing more. Eight years of Barack Obama's horrendous administration proved that.

He can hurl all the insults and threats he wants at North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, but the Joint Chiefs of Staff are not going to launch an attack. He can call for criminal investigations into Hillary Clinton, but the FBI has yet to respond. He can decry “fake news” as much as he wants, but the First Amendment still stands.

The truth is that Trump has the commanded respect of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is also the first President in a long time who is talking tough and carrying a big stick toward the maniacal Stalinist regime in Southeast Asia. Rocketman is learning the hard way that he is not going to get away with his international temper tantrums the way that his daddy did. Trump does not appease; he confronts. Deal with it!

Repealing and replacing Obamacare still needs congressional approval. Even his tax plan had to go through rounds of horse-trading to make it more palatable — to Republicans, anyway.

Of course it does, Willie. No one every challenged that. Did you also notice that Trump restored the DACA issue to Congress, since it was their job to permit or forbid any kind of amnesty or legal status for illegal aliens in the country.

That’s how the system of checks and balances works, and it is working very well for Trump. But keeping Trump in check, if not in balance, is about as far as it goes.

The Congress needs to be kept in check, folks! Not just the President. Also, Willie, where were you when Bracak Obama was out of control issuing executive orders with his phone and pen, pushing program and policies which the constitution did not give him power to do?

Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible collusion with Russia during the 2016 campaign isn’t going away, but it seems unlikely to yield an indictment of Trump himself.

There will be no indictment of Trump. There will be indictments of Crooked Hillary and the rest of the crooked phalanx of Democrats robbing the poor to feed the rich.

For all his daily displays of insensitivity and ignorance, Trump still has solid support in most if not all the states that made him president, so there’s no reason to think he won’t run again in 2020.

He's running for re-election, Willie. Get over it.

It is not a pretty picture, but even someone like Trump has a place in our system. The sooner we Democrats accept that and concentrate on winning the election ourselves, the better.

True. Good advice, and this is good advice for Republicans, who need to understand that they cannot continue to ride Trump's coattails for continued victory.

Isn't it telling that Brown does not reference himself as former mayor? Is he actually thinking about running again? I hope not. How sad indeed, that this politician's political career was swept away with the term limits and then the end of his tenure as chief executive of The City.

This man was the Speaker of the Assembly for 16 years, too, and what did he have to show for it? Now he's just an after-thought has-been poking fun at the President, who has done far more for this country in one year than the other three Presidents all put together.

Willie Brown, you are going down. All your hopes wrapped up in the wayward, lawless courts is going to dissipate, along with the corrupt bureaucracy filled with Obama holdovers. Just you wait!

Justice for Kate: Sanctuary City Mayor Ed Lee Suddenly Dies

The news this morning was bittersweet for me, in that someone's death in itself is never a cause to celebrate ... usually.

In this case, however, I could not refrain from seeing a bright strain of justice in this sudden demise.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee suddenly passed away in Zuckerberg Hospital. He died at 1:11am this morning, specifically, although reports have not revealed the cause of death at this time.

I would say that Mayor Lee died from a sense of guilt. He should feel guilty. His reckless support for The City's outlaw defiance to federal immigration law led to Kate Steinle's untimely, tragic murder on Pier 14.

Why is it sick for me to condemn a man who announced to the entire world that illegal aliens could run and hide in sanctuary city San Francisco?

He is very much responsible for her death, regardless of the corrupt verdict handed down by the San Francisco jury adjudicating the case.

Really? This is how unhinged and deranged the Left has become. They have no compassion for American citizens, nor do they regard the emergent necessity for the rule of law to be honored. They would rather celebrate illegal aliens than demand that elected officials follow through on their elected, constitutional responsibilities: protect the rights of citizens.

Shame on all of them.

I see this as indirect justice. Mayor Ed Lee was swamped with allegations of corruption, nepotism, and left-wing favoritism. His greatest crime, however, was presiding over a corrupt, left-wing dystopia which allowed illegal aliens not only to roam the streets, but to kill an American.
