This is what I remember about the word Chicano!! Times have changed and it probably means something different to others, but this is what it meant to me then and I learned quick to get away from it!!!
I grew up in the 60's 70's era and I'm telling you that either I was to be a Chicano or surfer, you had to choose. Chicano meant you were with the gang members. I got into it in the 6th grade, got out quick because it was boring and all they wanted to do was accuse people of "I heard you were talking about me" and want to beat someone up for it. I started hanging out with the "surfer" crowd. Started going to the beach and living, not hanging out with people who wanted to beat up other people for nothing!
I even knew of a few white guys who were "Chicano" back then! It meant gang members back in the day. But I don't remember the gang members back then waving a Mexican flag! It's taken on a whole new meaning, like brown Mexican power or something like that!!
The shameful behavior of the press is something to behold.
The photographers and reporters who descended onto Chicano Park were determined to paint a hateful, anit-white narrative which would champion "the poor Hispanics" at the expense of purported a bunch of white nationalists, white racists, blah blah blah.

What is going on in this country?

Hard to ignore. This was a bad day for Chicano Park advocates. They wanted to create a safe space to celebrate Mexican-Americans? They ended up dishonoring their own heritage.
At this point, someone shouted at us: "Go back to Europe!"
Whatever happened to being tolerant or inclusive?
Then some of the raging protesters revved up their vehement hatred towards us.
They started pressing around, even though there were at least 10 police officers surrounding us on our way to our cars.
Someone shouted out about white privilege. Oh brother! What white privilege, when they treat white people so badly? What are they talking about?!
Then someone said the following to me:
"You're probably Jewish, then!"
What's that supposed to mean?
What difference would it make, whether I was Jewish or not?
Why would it matter?
Do they have a problem with Jewish people?
Point of fact, the leader of the Chicano Movement, Reies Lopez Tijerina,was anti-Semitic. The Union-Tribune reported:
While admired by some students, his activism was steeped in violence and his legacy remained controversial. He also drew criticism for his treatment of women and comments largely viewed as anti-Semitic.
Recently MEChA came under scrutiny as a result of the Tucson Unified School District’s appeal of the finding by Superintendent of Public Instruction (SOPI) that TUSD’s Mexican American Studies classes violate state law. The district’s superintendent testified at the appeal hearing as to an email he received from Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lupita Cavazos-Garcia. In the email, Dr. Garcia ... Dr. Garcia wrote that she was concerned about the organization’s “anti-Semitic tone and tenor on our campuses.” She went on to state that the some of the district’s students have little emotional support and “our Raza students are ripe for this kind of influence.”
This is really serious, people.
American citizens were not permitted to go to a park because we were white.
That is the textbook example of racism. They also attempted to smear me by claiming that I was Jewish. There is nothing shameful about one's ethnic heritage, whether I am Jewish or not. Such vitriol, such bitter bigotry from the Brown Supremacists at Chicano Park was on full display for all to see.
It's time for all Americans, regardless of their background, to stand up to this hate!
We need to follow the brave examples of the Black Americans during the Civil Rights Movement, and we need to establish to all who are listening: this country is for all Americans, that all men are created equal!

San Diego Union Tribune left wing spin on the near riot in Chicano Park yesterday by violent, hateful brown supremacists and Latinos. But the reporter did admit that the 5 Americans were quickly “swarmed” by the seething Latino mob and chased out of the park. Please leave a comment under the article. I went with four other law-abiding citizens to visit Chicano Park, to see what the murals contained and to see what the park looked like.
Roger Ogden, one of the organizers for our peaceful event, had brought pizza and water for us to enjoy.
It was immediately clear to us that our lives were in danger as we saw jeering hordes of people across the street, many of whom were wearing brown bandanas or other kinds of masks to hide their identity. Some of them had sticks in their hands, intent on causing harm. Some of them looked like the Antifa hordes which have been waging violence against private citizens all over the state of California.
Within five minutes of our sitting down to eat, San Diego Police officers surrounded us.
Instead of respecting law enforcement, these Brown Supremacist hordes crossed the street, menacing and threatening us. They shouted violent threats at us, telling us to "Get out of Chicano Park."
We posed no threat, and we had no weapons of any kind on our persons. Why were we being threatened? Presumably because we were white, and nothing more.
The police officer in charge of the officers then informed us that the situation was "going south" and we had to leave. This was an unfair abuse of our First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble. The crowds of these anti-American looked for more ways to come into our gathering and attack us.
We had to be escorted to our cars with a squad of at least 15 police officers. What is happening in this country when American citizens cannot visit a park in their own state, in their own country, without threats and violence perpetrated against them?!
The leadership and promoters of Chicano Park should be ashamed of themselves for lying about our peaceful gathering and informing the protesters to show up and intimidate us.
The heated hatred of the Chicano Movement
This brazen racism on the part of the Chicano Movement--including the Park attendees and rallying members--is just outrageous and must be confronted by elected officials--local, state, and federal. Chicano Park should be open and available to all members of the public--and the anti-American, anti-police iconography needs to be removed."

Yesterday afternoon, I received a phone call from a fellow patriot that they were going to Chicano Park in San Diego, CA.
They wanted to check out the scenery. They also wanted to look at the imagery and see all the stuff that was there.
I had heard very disturbing reports and saw unseemly pictures of everything painted on the walls and along the freeways.

It started out with meeting three other men prepared to enter the park:
Pretty scary stuff at the outset.
I saw at least eight police vehicles drive down the off-ramp to go toward the park.
Eventually we walked to the park. Roger Ogden showed up and brought pizza and water to the event.
We were going to enjoy a picnic and see the park.
I had been told that a Nazi swastika is located in the park.

People tell me that that is a bent swastika, and it's not really a Nazi symbol.
Then one member of our team informed me that a Nazi was one of the founding activists to set up Chicano Park.
This Chicano ideology is a violent, anti-American, bigoted ideology.
This concurrence of hate is based on the lie that California and other states in the Southwest somehow still belong to Mexico, or that the territory should be ceded away from the United States to form a new, mythical territory called Aztlan. One radical professor, Armando Navarro, wrote a textbook in order to remove American power and respect from the Southwestern United States.
And he gets paid with taxpayer dollars to do just that.
Unreal.
The whole Chicano movement is anti-Anglo, anti-American, and anti-Semitic.
In the video that I took, you will notice someone shame me--or rather attempt to shame me--by shouting: "You are probably Jewish!"
What difference does it make whether I am or not?
You will notice in the video that we arrived at the park and within ten minutes brown supremacist hordes showed up, hiding behind brown masks, wearing brown berets bandanas over their faces.
Why do they hide their faces? What are they ashamed of?!
They surrounded us, and in response the police surrounded our table, where we were trying to eat and and drink the picnic which Roger Ogden had brought to share with us.
The menacing presence of these Brown Supremacists was something to behold. They shouted slurs and hate at us.
What was their problem? We five men had shown up to get something to eat and to document what was in the park. Why is that these hordes violently threatened and menaced us to drive us out of the park?
The police in charge of security urged us to leave, and they offered to walk us to our cars. They followed us, these Brown Power hordes. There was so much hate in their eyes, and they shouted such evil things at us. One guy charged a gate near Roger Ogden to try and startle him, too.
Why did some of those protesters act like such animals? Why do they hate people who do not look like them?
The hate is intense. This anti-American hate must be exposed.
We demand that the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security investigate and put an end to this enforced segregation in Chicano Park. Every section of the United States is American territory, and Americans of any and all backgrounds should be able to go anywhere they want to and exercise free speech!
To the Secretary of the Interior and Attending Staff:
At the last minute, in a rush of midnight appointments and
designations, President Obama had Chicano Park, an activist locale celebrating
anti-American sentiment and national sovereignty, designated a national
monument.
This park contains murals celebrating pagan ideologies and racist
themes throughout.
It's a dedication to anti-American sedition.
And yet, within three days before Obama stepped down from office,
former Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell designated the property as a
national monument notwithstanding, even though Congressman Juan Vargas
(D-Imperial County) had submitted legislation for that purpose, which failed to
pass the US Senate last year.
Please, for the honor and integrity of our borders and our nation, I
ask Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke to rescind the National Monument
status granted to Chicano Park in San Diego County, California.

To all opponents of illegal immigration, and radical Chicano national socialism, I urge you to submit this request immediately to Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke.
I received conflict reports from staffers of the San Diego/Imperial County Congressman Juan Vargas' office and activists in Southern California who are concerned about illegal immigration.
The House passed on a voice vote during the final hours of the 114th Congress a bill which would have designated the racially charged Chicano Park as a national landmark. Yes, the bill passed with unanimous approval, but I was convinced that the legislation would face an uphill battle in the United States during the second week of December and final week of debate. The Democratic US Senators were fighting to push a government bailout for miners' pensions, but the measure failed. Democrats did not have the votes or the backing to enforce a shut down of the federal government, especially since the House had closed up for the winter recess and would not return until the next legislative session.
Then other sources were telling me Chicano Park could receive National Monument status with the stroke of pen from the Secretary of the Interior. There was still time for executive cabinet heads to do something.
So, what was going on?
Then I got more good intel.

One Christmas present came late this year. It turns out Arthur Schaper was right. We have to admit it, but it doesn't pain us
too much. ;-) It seems the House and the
Senate had to approve the Chicano Park Preservation Act. It was passed by the House. The National Park Service told me that all
that was required was for the Secretary of the DOI to sign the designation
approval.
What a shame for San Diego art lovers.

years to come.”
Excuse me? What about centers which preserve and celebrate American history? Chicano ideological views are anti-American, pro La Raza, or "racist."
The Chicano Park Preservation Act passed in the House last December,
but the bill was not considered by the U.S. Senate before the conclusion of the
114th Congress. This bill instructs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a
thorough study of Chicano Park in order to evaluate its national significance
and determine the feasibility of the park becoming a National Historic
Landmark.

The park is located under the San Diego-Coronado Bridge in historic
Barrio Logan, a San Diego community with a heavy population of Mexican
Americans. It is adorned with murals, sculptures, and beautiful landscaping. In
1980, the park was designated as an official historic site by the San Diego
Historical Site Board. In 2013, Chicano Park was listed on the National
Register of Historic Places due to its association with the local Chicano civil
rights movement in San Diego.

What about the natural rights of American citizens? What about the final say of the men and women who live in this country and pay the taxes for all federal projects? Not one penny of American money or one inch of American soil should celebrate anti-American, racist sentiment--at all.

The article states that the Chicano's demanded a gathering
place in the style of community centers in Mexican villages. However, Mexican towns don't generally have
squares that are are surrounded by indigeNazi bullcrap with a stage in the
style of a temple where human sacrifice was performed.
These are two typical towns in Sonora, Hermosillo and
Guaymas not so far from here. They have
non-political, Spanish-style architecture and french gazebos. Contrast this with Chicano Park, which they
want to claim represents Mexico and our stupid politicians/media are actually

Chicano-ism is a perverse, fanatical ideology of hate that
was invented right here in the U.S., not in Mexico. It does have some similarities to certain

However, they are not trying to promote Mexican culture at Chicano
Park. They are promoting an invented,
revolutionary, anti-American ideology there and then present that hateful
propaganda as representative of Mexico and all Mexican-Americans.
The worse part is they teach this crap in the schools in
Chicano ethnic studies classes. I would
surely like to see Chicano Park gone (or changed). But in a way, I feel that it is a useful tool
for showing people what Chicano-ism and La Raza is really about and how
complicit our Marxist politicians are with that.
SONSanDiego sent me the following update, as he was not sure that the Chicano Preservation Act, introduced by Rep. Juan Vargas (D-El Centro) was in fact dead:
I called the House Committee on Natural Resources and they forwarded me
to the subcommittee on Federal Land Use to which the Chicano Park Preservation
Act was assigned.
The staff person confirmed that Arthur Shaper is, in fact, correct that
the Bill is has to be re-introduced to the House in the next session will have
to be approved by both the House and the Senate all over again. I asked, if that doesn't mean the Bill is
essentially dead at this time and he said, yes, that's right.
"Chicano Park needs to be a National Monument!"

This is good news for several reasons. We the People can harangue our elected officials and demand that they respect the wishes of the people they represent, rather than caving to special interests or hate groups like La Raza.
He said, they had been getting a lot of calls about the Chicano Park Bill. I asked, "You have been getting a lot of
calls?" He replied, " Yes
we've been getting a good number of calls, which is always good to see." They apparently enjoy getting calls from
enraged constituents. Haha.
They would not have to worry about the phone calls if they were not advancing laws which undermine our national character and sovereignty.
So, the Bill died in Congress.
Representative Vargas and the SDUT just declared a empty victory,
because it had passed the House, even though it was going nowhere.
It is the most hollow of victories. The constituents in CD-51 should expect more from their Congressman than a bill with no chance of passage, but was merely intended as a headline an publicity stunt.
It was going to die anyway, I guess, but I think we probably made an
impression on some of them regarding Chicano Park that maybe they won't forget.

More residents in the San Diego region and throughout the country need to know that section of an American city has been taken over by a rogue thuggocracy dedicated to rejecting United States sovereignty and reimposing a neo-pagan "country" in line with Mexico
Chicano Park is still on the National Register of Historic Places. Maybe it would be possible to get their name
scratched off that list as well.

The San Diego City Council should rename it Patriot Park!
The Chicanos were trying this year to get the building next door funded
as a City Museum. Some of us contacted
the City Council last spring and I think had an impact on that. The building that was the be the Chicano Park
Museum is being remodeled now and the sign out front says "Bay Bridge
Community Center."
It seems like Chicano Park is dying.
The generation of radicals that first occupied that land in 1970 is
literally dying off. Ramon
"Chunky" Sanchez, who wrote the theme song, died just a couple of
weeks ago.
Any park, any public place in the United States needs to honor our country. If taxpayer dollars are paying for these spaces, then the due minimum for these locations should stress respect and honor for our institutions and our country.
A retired marine informed me that residents are not allowed to fly the American flag in Chicano Park. That is outrageous!
Chicano Park must be closed down or renamed "Patriot Park."
San Diego residents, citizens, and taxpayers should demand better from their elected officials.
Vargas loves to quote Scripture. Perhaps he should reread that passage about perfect love which casts out all fear. He should also reread the passage about honoring the governors above us, which includes respect for our laws.
The House of Representatives rushed through a series of bills last week.
The biggest problem facing the Congress before Winter Recess and the end of their team in Congress?
Funding the government.
The House of Representatives went back and forth putting together a Continuing Resolution to prepare the next Congress.
In a way, I am not upset that Congress can barely fund anything.
Congress is using too much of our taxpayer dollars to fund unnecessary projects.
There is still too much pork, too many earmarks. Where's the entitlement reform?
When will Congress issue block grants and stop taking the states' money, only to give them a portion back?
And speaking of poorly-spent appropriations ...

Rep. Juan Vargas (D-El Centro) introduced a bill to provide funding to study how to turn Chicano Park in San Diego into a National Monument.

The powers that be who run this park do not permit residents to hoist teh American flag. The whole Chicano movement is dedicated to taking back large portions of the Southwestern United States and bringing it all back into Mexico.

The House passed the bill on December 7th on a voice vote, and it proceede to the US Senate
There was no record because a voice vote basically means that the House Members wanted to push it through.
Why?
One source suggested to me that most of the members simply had no idea what was in the bill. That is probably true.
I am keen to believing that the members knew the bill would go nowhere in the upper chamber.
Why?
Because the House finished their business on December 8th and 9th, and basically left everything on the US Senate's shoulder.
They would either pass the continued resolution which they had provided, or they would be held responsible for shutting down the government. Some of the Democratic minority wanted to stall final passage of any resolution because of miners' pensions in coal states. And Barbara Boxer wanted to kill legislation that would benefit farmers and Central Valley residents with more water.
As for Vargas' Chicano Park bill?
It went nowhere.
The sessions is over. The US Senators have already gone home.
Congress should take no steps for Chicano Park to turn the location into a national monument. The area is a national disgrace!

A BILL
To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of Chicano Park, located in San Diego, California, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Chicano Park Preservation Act”.
SEC. 2. SPECIAL RESOURCE STUDY.
(a) Study.—The Secretary of the Interior shall conduct a special resource study of Chicano Park and its murals located in San Diego, California.
(b) Contents.—In conducting the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall—
(1) evaluate the national significance of the site;
(2) determine the suitability and feasibility of designating the site as a National Historic Landmark or Affiliated Area of the National Park System;
(3) consider other alternatives for preservation, protection, and interpretation of Chicano Park and its murals by Federal, State, or local governmental entities, or private and nonprofit organizations;
(4) consult with interested Federal, State, or local governmental entities, private and nonprofit organizations or any other interested individuals; and
(5) identify cost estimates for any development, interpretation, operation, and maintenance associated with the alternatives.
(c) Applicable Law.—The study required under subsection (a) shall be conducted in accordance with section 100507 of title 54, United States Code, except that the study shall not consider any options that involve Federal acquisition of lands, interests in lands, or any other property related to the Chicano Park and its murals.
(d) Report.—Not later than 18 months after the date on which funds are first made available for the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate a report containing the results of the study and any conclusions and recommendations of the Secretary

Vargas represents California’s 51st Congressional District
which includes the southern portion of San Diego County, all of Imperial County
and California’s entire US/Mexico border.
Vargas was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012
and is currently serving his second term in Congress. He serves on the House Financial Services Committee
and the Committee on House Administration.

said they would watch my video and forward the info. Others hung up on me.
The staff of Tom McClintock, who is head of the subcommittee that
approved the bill, hung up abruptly on me.
Duncan Hunter's staff was not too friendly, either. Issa's staff said they would look at the
video below. Louie Gohmert staff person
was interested enough to give me her e-mail address and tell me to send the
video to her. She said she would let
Louie know about it. Gohmert was actually
one of these, who voted for it in the committee. He may not have realized what it is about
though.

The last thing that any Congressman--and especially any Republican--should be doing is to vote along with legitimizing and promoting internal hatred for the United States of America. We have once again a bad case of representatives' voting for something which they have not read, or do not are about!
