 More than half of the Oklahoma Senate are co-sponsors of the resolution! But one terrible RINO in leadership is blocking it.

The MassResistance push to ultimately reverse same-sex “marriage” is successfully moving across the country. Shockingly, our resolutions in state legislatures get blocked not by leftists, but by RINO Republicans. (That happened in Montana, where the Republican legislator who buried the effort admitted she has a “married” lesbian daughter.) Oklahoma is the latest battleground.

Background

As we’ve described, the 2015 US Supreme Court 5-4 Obergefell ruling that imposed “gay marriage” across America was deeply flawed constitutionally, and two of the Justices who ruled in favor should legally have recused themselves. Justices Thomas and Alito have stated that the Obergefell ruling should be reviewed (as happened with Roe v. Wade).

MassResistance has drafted a bold resolution for state legislatures across the country to pass, urging the Supreme Court to revisit the case. It has passed the House of Representatives in two states and several other legislatures are in the process of acting on it.

Introduced and poised to pass in the OK Senate – but blocked by a RINO

Oklahoma is a true “red state.” Last month, in commemoration of Easter, the state House of Representatives passed a resolution proclaiming that “Christ is King.” So, the normal definition of marriage is hardly controversial there.

On May 1, 2025, State Senator Dusty Deevers (who is also a Southern Baptist pastor) introduced the MassResistance resolution as Senate Resolution 8.

 The main sponsor, Sen. Dusty Deevers, is the real thing! We wish there were legislators like him everywhere!

The 48-member Oklahoma Senate needs 25 votes to pass legislation. Sen. Deevers’ resolution has generated great enthusiasm, and has 25 senators as co-sponsors, so it would certainly pass. It should be on the road to victory.

But it is being blocked by the Republican Senate Majority Leader, Sen. Julie Daniels (R-Bartlesville). The legislative session concludes at the end of this month, so the fight is quickly heating up.

This is not playing well back home. This resolution is very popular in Sen. Daniels’ district. Last month, her own county Republican Committee overwhelmingly voted to endorse it.

Sen. Julie Daniels is now more unpopular than ever in her district.

Sen. Daniels lives in Bartlesville, which has a very active MassResistance chapter. They have flooded her office with calls, but (as of this writing) she refuses to say why she is blocking the resolution. And that makes her constituents even angrier!

Her conservative constituents want this resolution fairly voted on in their legislature, and are outraged that she’s the one standing in the way!

This isn’t the first time Sen. Daniels has run into trouble back home. Her RINO stances have apparently been bothering folks for some time. In June 2024, she had to beat back three challengers in the primary. (Unfortunately, the conservative vote got split because two additional challengers had jumped in.) Fortunately, she is term-limited out and can’t run again.

Even in Oklahoma, the media leans far left. Not surprisingly, across the country they’re all reporting this commonsense resolution as a threat to democracy and human rights.

Final thoughts

This resolution has attracted a lot more energy and enthusiasm across the country than we anticipated, especially among state legislators. In a growing list of states, they’re ready to file it next session. It’s exciting. People have had enough! The LGBT propaganda about this being “settled law” is simply untrue.

But we also hadn’t anticipated that the RINOs in “red” states would be among the biggest impediments. This is a big problem over many important issues. Conservative voters need to be informed about their candidates!

The “gay marriage” fantasy will eventually be revealed as a fraud. This fight is not stopping!

Councilman Mike Griffiths Makes Excuses, Won't Support Resolution Against Pro-Criminal LA County DA George Gascon

Torrance City Councilman Mike Griffiths answered my call last week.

I talked with him about getting the city of Torrance to go on record opposing LA County District Attorney George Gascon.

He just blew me off: "Not gonna happen."

And why not?

The gist of his answer was this:

The city attorney does not approve of it, and it's going to hurt the police department.

Really. That was his excuse.

And last year, Griffiths was more than happy to (rightly) open up the city and defy the lockdown orders from LA County Board of Health and the Governor of California.

Now he is worried about potential displeasure from the city attorney? Or lawsuits? Give me a break.

This is outrageous.

The city attorney, Patrick Sullivan, is not an elected official. The city council does not work for the city attorney. The city attorney works for the city council, and the city council works for us.

Residents of all backgrounds in the city of Torrance want LA County DA George Gascon OUT! Eighteen of the 88 cities in Los Angeles County have gone on record official issuing resolutions of No Confidence, including Rancho Palos Verdes and Manhattan Beach. Torrance City Council should not be dragging their feet on this issue, and that includes Councilman Griffiths. 

This attitude of ignoring the will of voters to cater to civil servants in city hall is a growing problem in the city of Torrance. Elected officials on the dais are not following through on their promises, and they are following orders from the city attorney, when they should be listening to the residents of the community.

Yes, the corrupt, pro-criminal district attorney George Gascon has reopened the case against two of Torrance's police officers because of their officer-involved shooting against Christopher "Cowboy" Mitchell. The previous DA, Jackie Lacey, declined to file charges, and even asserted that the officers rightly acted in self-defense. A growing audience of viewers and commentaters have also asserted that the two police officers acted in self-defense when one considers the full contents of the video. Am I saying that every police officer in the city of Torrance is good, or that the LA County DA should not pursue officer-involved shootings in the event of foul play? Of course not.

But in this case, and with what the city of Torrance is potentially facing with a pro-criminal county DA, and based on what residents have been saying for the last three weeks, it's time for the city of Torrance to go on record and issue a Resolution of No Confidence in George Gascon. There is nothing wrong with the city decrying the LA County District Attorney's bad behavior, disgraceful conduct toward constituents, and his pro-criminal policies which openly violate state law. This does not cast aspersions or undermine the well-being of the police officers who face investigation. In fact, the fact that the current, corrupt DA insists on reopening this case shows that he is partisan and political, rather than principled and pragmatic towards his office. All the more reason he needs to go!

And all the more reason that the city of Torrance needs to issue a Resolution of No Confidence in LA County DA George Gascon!

Gascon is putting murderous thugs back on the street, and trampling on the needs of victims and law-abiding citizens generally. He needs to be recalled. 

And the city of Torrance needs to go on record opposing him.

Council News & Views & Votes   Our March 13, 2018 council meeting was rather short due to a light agenda.  I was able to appoint Mayor Pro-Tem Greg Raths and Council member Trish Kelley to the California Voters Rights Act Ad-hoc committee.  The purpose of this committee is to look at all of the various options that would help to address the racially polarized voting that occurs in our city.  I would imagine the committee be able to report out to the full council over the next 6 - 8 months.  In addition the Shankman law firm that initially sent the district letter threat to the city, has now followed with a lawsuit to ensure that a judge is involved in managing the "other than districts" solution to the admitted racial  profiling as outlined in the California Voters Rights Act. On March 20, I attended the Laguna Niguel city council meeting and spoke during public comments in support of Laguna Niguel's opposition to the County Supervisors designating property next to city hall  becoming a homeless tent city.  The property selected is next to city hall, a library, a day care center and a 5 minute walk to an elementary school. I am happy to report that but a few days later, the Supervisors reversed themselves and will no longer be placing homeless tent cities in Irvine, Huntington Beach and Laguna Niguel. While I was there, I spoke about my call for all Mayors supporting SecureOCSchools.com and addressed  the negligence of the Supervisors placing this encampment so close to children.  I spoke of the additional cost of policing homelessness at a time when South County cites are being burdened with ever growing policing costs.  You can view the video by clicking on the link below. https://www.facebook.com/SecureOCSchools/videos/175373346594611/?t=2 Our City Council meeting March 27th was exciting to say the least.  On the Agenda was a Resolution to join the Amicus Brief supporting Attorney General Jeff Sessions against the State of California and the unconstitutional SB54 Sanctuary State legislation.  In addition, the resolution gave the city's full support of Los Alimitos opt-out ordinance of SB54. Over 50 speakers took the opportunity during public comments to voice their opinion and others sent in emails.  Of those that spoke less than a handful voiced opinions in favor of the Sanctuary State policy and against the resolution.  One of the speakers claimed we all are illegal since the first landing of Europeans on American soil.  In the end, the council voted unanimously to approve the resolution. I explain why we offered a resolution and not an ordinance below in a special section of this month's newsletter.

Why Mission Viejo passed a Resolution of Support with Los Alimitos and not an Ordinance declaring the city will not follow State's Sanctuary State law. First, we must understand that it is not simply a matter for Mission Viejo to claim the Constitution of the United States as the Supreme Law of the land.  For cities in California you are either a General Law city or a Charter City.  Los Alimitos is a Charter city and therefore has different liberties as applies to California law. California cities are a creation of State law in the State of California.  These are called General Law cities and are thereby first bound to California State law.  Even if that State law is in contradiction to Federal law.  Another example would be legalizing Marijuana sales in California which is not Federal law.  Until these laws that conflict with Federal law, are taken before a federal judge by the Attorney General of the United States, general law cities are required first to follow State law.  It is a matter of orderly procedure and following the rule of law in determining which law is favored. The principle of the "Rule of Law" is the basis for the democratic process and is intended to ensure the orderly interaction of society and government.  Otherwise we have chaos and anarchy.  General law cities (Mission Viejo) must assume the laws are valid and proper and that they shall remain proper, if and until, the courts say otherwise.  Hence the lawsuit filed by Attorney General Session claiming Supremacy of federal law as it deals with immigration must favor the U.S. Constitution. It is this reason we have stated our case through a resolution and not an ordinance.  The resolution is protected a free speech guaranteed by the first amendment, and an ordinance from a general law city would be easily struck by the court.

At the December 20, 2016 surprise Rialto City Council meeting, We the People Rising surprised Councilman Rafael Trujillo, who was conspiring with open border advocates and illegal aliens to turn Rialto into a sanctuary city.

Ted Cruz is Wrong: Defund the UN ... PERIOD!

One of the most vocal supporters of Israel is Ted Cruz.

He has fought and denounced this terrible institution from the first days he entered the United States senate.

But there is a problem with his current line of attack against the corrupt, collectivist organization following their unfounded and offensive resolution against the state of Israel.

He has threatened to cut American funding for the UN ... unless they rescind the resolution condemning settlements in the West Bank.

That is not good enough. The United States should have pulled out of the United Nations and took back our money a long time ago, and without conditions.

We need to defund the United Nations. PERIOD!

Who cares if they rescind this one resolution? The globalist fraud has issued hundreds more against the Jewish State. Dictatorial regimes president on the permanent as well as provision Security Council. This organization has no legitimacy.

Don’t get me wrong about Cruz. He has done what more Republicans should have done years ago.

When he spoke about the vital defense which the Jewish State provided in the Middle East, members of the audience at a Middle Eastern Christians forum booed. Undeterred, and refusing to cave on his support, Ted Cruz waved to the crowd, said “God bless you” and left the stage.

Very few statesmen have that kind of character, that they can quietly leave rather than submit to the crass denunciation.

When US Secretary of State John Kerry referred to Israel as an “apartheid state”, Cruz was the first one on the floor to demand his resignation. The former US Senator from Massachusetts has been wrong on just about everything, but those word were indeed “resign worthy”, as Charles Krauthammer asserted.

Cruz was right to demand Kerry’s head on a platter for that.

Kerry didn’t utter some blunt, unthinking phrase. The Massachusetts liberal revealed his mindset, and the attitude of the entire Obama Administration. The have pursued radical equality at all costs. Whoever is the underdog in an international fight must be the good guy. Who is poor and down on resources, they deserve the praise and sympathy.

 Israel, has every right to defend the Jewish State.

I think that US Senator Ted Cruz has a bright future ahead of him, even if the GOP base has some hurt feelings over his hesitation to support Donald Trump.

Hey, join the club, and all of us are glad we finally jumped on the Trump Train.

Barack Obama knows that his time is short. Instead of preparing to leave quietly (or at least plan on stealing some of the furniture, just like the Corrupt and Clint Crew) and so he is stabbing Israel in the back.

But for Cruz to suggest that the United States should defund the UN until they rescind the resolution agianst Israel ... that is not going far enough.

I am not sure why this US Senator is pulling punches like this. We need to get out NOW!

There is no more compromise on this issue. It's time for the United States to leave the corrupt, ineffective, and arbitrary United Nations, and take our money back!
