Christians: It's Time for Our Own Stonewall "Riot"

The homosexual hagiography surrounding the Stonewall Inn in New York  City is well known. President Obama made sure of its exalted status when he declared the location a national landmark!

The inn served as a safe space for people who identified as gay. Following another police raid on the inn, the gays fought back, and started fighting for their rights.

Granted, there were sudden police raids. Arbitrary police force is unacceptable.
And yes, every human being has natural rights.

But homosexuality is not a civil right–it’s a behavior.

And now, the riots which exploded on June 28, 1968 have turned into an all-out war against the rights and liberties of law-abiding Americans.

Apparently, the bar was also a mafia hangout. Not sure there was a connection then, but it would be hard not to draw the distinction today.

The “victims” of 1969 have bred the victimizers. The men and women–Christians then who never bothered anyone are now facing angry rants, raids, and rioting of embittered LGBT activists.

In the United States, over thirty states voted to uphold the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman. A rogue Supreme Court struck down the legal authority of the state legislatures and the people to impose a radical redefinition of an institution which predates you and me and everyone else.

Here in California, where eight years ago voters in the most Democratic stretches of Los Angeles as well as the most ruby red Republican regions voted to define natural marriage as a constitutional amendment, they have witnessed eight years later the  complete shakedown of their rights.

One pastor in San Francisco faced an angry mob of LGBT activists, who surrounded his church and yelled inside: “We want your son.”

Christians shouldn’t just sit by and wait for things to work their way back to normalcy.

Enough is enough.

It’s time for us to start swinging, to fight back, but not with our fists, but with faith, with coordinated organization, with truth.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Christians were the first community organizers, after all!

Jesus brought together twelve disciples, who in turn preached the word, and caused many thousands more to believe–and still do today!

Consider how the Early Church operated as one:

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common;” (Acts 2:44)

We are one body in Christ, for those who believe on the Name of Jesus.

There is no reason for us to run in fear. There is no excuse for Christians who know the Truth, who trust God for their salvation (here and now, as well as hereafter) to retreat from this unnatural, evil onslaught.

I was talking with another Christian, a strong lady who works with a well-connected, fearless husband. Her reaction to what seems to be a growing feckless community of Christians? Her reaction to the sudden juggernaut of homosexual marriage, transgenderism, homosexual curricula in public schools, plus the unsettling LGBT assault on individual liberties?

“It’s embarrassing!”

We live in California, and we have seen the next stage of the homosexual juggernaut–an attempt to shut down every Christian college in the state and muzzle Christian education for good. We beat back a large part of that agenda, but we cannot claim victory yet.

What has happened in California? All over the country, if not the world?

The Christians have become like dumb sheep, refusing to speak out!

Indeed. How many of us really believe the promises laid out for us in Isaiah?

14In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.

15Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake."

16Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 54: 14-17)

Do we believe the certainty of victory offered to us through Christ Jesus today?

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 37-39)

How much longer before we see men and women losing their lives, not just their livelihood?!

If a rag-tag group of homosexuals in 1969 could rally parades after a riot and a raid in New York City, then surely Christians connected throughout every city in this country, in the world can rise up and push back against this immoral, unsound insanity.

Our kids deserve better.

Our community needs better.

Let’s fight for what is right.

What better way can I say it?

Christians, it’s time for us to have our own Stonewall Riot.

Except we do not have to destroy property.

We are not parading for something that we should be ashamed of.

It’s time to take to the streets. It’s time to declare our righteousness.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.” (Isaiah 61:1)

It’s time for us to believe that no matter what weapon they form (and there will be weapons formed against us), they will not prosper!

He died for us. He lives for us.

It’s time for us to stand and resist this great evil!

Election 2016: We Don't Need "Nice" Now

Politics is a rough business.

It's an adjudication of power.

One side will win. The other side will lose.

We cannot afford for our families, for our friends to see this great country slip out of fingers and descend into amoral madness.

We do not have time to be nice anymore.

If neighbors, acquaintances, and business contacts insist on doing what is wrong, and if they insist on supporting people who are undermining our rights, they need to be confronted and held accoutable.

The regressive left and their anti-liberty, pro-tyranny agenda is hurting all of us. They are like spoiled children who have gotten away with torturing animals, destroying property, demonstrating neither respect nor civility to anyone else.

Spoiled children get away with everything in their homes. When they confront the real world, or rather the real world throws its arbitrary mandates at them, they usually shape up and act like mature adults.

What happens, though, when these spoiled children become entrenched adults who hold the levers of power?

We have to discipline them, hold them accountable like the parents who should have done their own job.

And yet  ... it's not happening!

For too long, good men have said and done nothing.

You know what? That makes good men "not good."

And evil men will not stop being evil.

Why is this?

It all goes back to human nature, and the fault lindes underneath which led a psychologist to write I Feel Guilty When I Say "No!"

Why is there this inner propensity to feel bad when we reject or prohibit someone's behavior?

At his core, man wants to be accepted.

He needs approval and affection, too, and no one wants to lose that.

Dr. Phil McGraw told parents that "For every 'bad girl!' ,you need to give your daughter 100 'Atta girl! statements."

Man's need for affirmation is near limitless.

So he needs a source of unlimited approval.

And yet ...

The thought of disapproval or shame is just too great for many people to risk.

It's time for us to realize that the greatest disapproval we could ever feel is giving up what others have fought for.

Better yet, instead of trying to get righteousness and approval from others, Christians need to see Jesus as their righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30), and recognize that He continually blesses and graces us with the gifts (plural!) of righteousness and grace!

Approval and Favor!

So that no matter what evil people may say--it just won't work!

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)

Before Breitbart, Christian News was "The New Media"

The New Media of Breitbart, Truth Revolt, Levin TV, Daily Caller, have made mince meat of Madam Hillary Clinton's chances at re-election.

They do not deserve the final praise for accomplishing this upending of the liberal Big Three media monopoly.

Before conservatives were scaling the walls of the liberal press, Christian programming like the Christian Broadcasting Network and Hal Lindsey's Report talked about the disturbing undercurrents of globalist corporate interests, plus the searing yet subtle attacks on religious liberty.

Before Breitbart was denouncing the Big Gay Hate Machine attacking individual liberties, Pastors Josh McDowell and Rod Parsley was preaching against the destructive homosexual agenda--and warning of its pernicious silencing effects.

The problem? No one was listening at the time.

Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network was educating the Christian public about the destructive, Satan spirit of lawlessness pervasive in the world. Preachers like him were also denouncing the intolerant political correctness of the left.

What has changed?

News which does not try to preach has found a more ready audience?

I submit that American citizens have finally woken up to the demonic nature of the Obama Administration. What the pastors and church leaders were warning about, has finally fallen on the public.

It's too bad that did not submit their understanding and take an active charge in fighting these scourges while they had begun to flay out at our rights, our foundations, the fundamentals of our Judeo-Christian culture.

Before the conservative "New Media" take all the credit for exposing the lies, hypocrisy, and distorted left-wing agenda of the New York-Los Angeles Media Phalanx, they should tip their has to the men and women of God who reported on the anti-Christian undercurrents of our secularized culture, and who exhorted their audience to do anything they could to alert and awaken their fellow man.

Now, why did Christian networks possess the wisdom and courage to report the stories which most networks avoiding, and to confront the issues which turned off major media networks?

Christians have received the gift of righteousness, and keep receiving it (Romans 5:17)

They have submitted themselves to the greatest King, the one political force who answers all charges and protects his subjects, men and women who He has made fellow-citizens and heirs with His Son.

The righteous are as bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1). Because of this righteousness, they both know and believe that no weapon formed against them will ever prosper (Isaiah 54:14-17).

Because we the Body of Christ have yielded to the Highest (and Most Gracious) authority, we have no fear of man. We have the mindset to challenge the world's views and values. There is one Narrative which stands above all others: "In the Beginning, God Created", and then "In the Beginning Was the Word ..."

The apostles told the local authorities took joy in knowing that they suffered for Jesus's sake, and refused to stop preaching the Gospe.

The preacher Martin Luther reminded man that Grace comes from God through Jesus Christ.

The pastors of Great Britain taught the Englishman that Christ not man is King.

And the doctors of the church, throughout the Thirteen Colonies, affirmed for the American people of their godly heritage and the divine origin of their rights.

Fast forward to modern times.

In the Stanley Milgran social science experiments, Christians, men and women of faith, could look at their trainer and tell them "I will not continue to shock this subject."

Preachers, pastors, teachers of the Word, every member of the Body of Christ are not afraid of man or his government.

We are free to challenge what we have learned, and to grow in grace. Jesus Himself told those who doubted him: "Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake." (John 14:11)

Before there was "The New Media", there was Christ Jesus, His disciples, the Body of Christ, and the great media who harnessed modern means to promote news with a Christian vision!
