Keep it Up, Chris Christie

Governor Christie signed New Jersey's budget into law a few hours before the start of the 2011-2012 fiscal year.

After all the haggling between a Democratically-controlled legislature and a tough-walking Conservative Republican, the legislature still produced an over-done budget appropriating more money than constitutionally permissible.

Christie, who holds more sway with his veto powers than most governors in the Union, cut another $30 million dollars from the budget.

Governor Chris Christie: still sticking to his principles, still sticking to his word, still sticking it to the liberals, all in the face of dropping approval ratings.

He is running like a one-term Governor, not worried about placating constituents to scoop up votes for 2013. In truth, he is an excellent executive, just what the Garden State needed, even if the labor unions have painted him as a hobgoblin who despises public education and public employees.
