Dear Friend:
We are starting the general election with a strong lead over Gascon, according to a new poll conducted March 24-26 and released this week.
The poll of 817 likely voters in the November 2024 general election found that 44% intend to vote for me, 23% for Gascon and 33% are undecided. I have a massive lead among Republican and independent (No Party Preference) voters and am statistically tied with Gascon among Democratic voters (within the 3.4% margin of error). The results are not surprising considering Gascon received just 25.2% of the vote in the March 5 primary – the lowest percent received by an incumbent D.A. in Los Angeles County history. No incumbent D.A. with such a low percentage of the primary vote has ever been re-elected. As you know, this is the most important D.A. campaign in L.A. County of our lifetime – because we cannot afford four more years of Gascon handcuffing prosecutors and standing by as violent and property crime explodes. The quality of our lives and the safety of our families literally will be decided in November. As one example of what’s going on, the L.A. sheriff’s deputies at the Lakewood station announced the arrest this week of a woman with 24 prior arrests who was on probation for a burglary conviction at the time of her latest arrest. That news came shortly after news that burglars victimized three small businesses on Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock last weekend. When there are no consequences, crime explodes. Gascon has proven that. Enough is enough! If you are able, please consider helping me raise the $2.5 million it’s going to take to defeat Gascon. |
