HUGE WIN for CA MassResistance: Liberal City Votes to Stop Flying PRIDE Flag

Dedicated pro-family citizens – along with the right strategies and tactics – can win eve in leftist-dominated locales.

Downey, California is a suburb of Los Angeles and a predominately Democrat city. Its 5-member City Council includes two openly “gay” men, including the Mayor. The Mayor helps run the Los Angeles County LGBTQ+ Elected Officials Association.

Nevertheless, four years ago MassResistance had a surprising victory in that city! We organized Downey families to successfully force the School Board to completely remove a Planned Parenthood sex-ed curriculum from the school system.

Pride Flags ordered to fly during June for past 3 years

For the past three years, the City Council enthusiastically passed a resolution ordering City Hall and other city properties to fly the LGBT rainbow flag during the month of June to commemorate “Gay Pride” month. This outraged lots of families in the city who see it as a blatant act forcing the city to celebrate an anti-Christian movement pushing sexual perversions.

Last year, local MassResistance activists came to the City Council meeting and spoke out against the resolution. They urged the Council to adopt a “neutral flag policy” instead that would only allow government flags – US, California, Downey,, and POW flags – to be flown on city property. But the City Council ignored them and passed the “Pride flag” order again for June 2023.

Getting to work fighting back!

Right after that, the MassResistance families decided they weren’t going to let that happen again in 2024 and got to work.

A few months later, in November 2023, there were two special elections – to replace City Council members who had left office before their terms ended. Our activists confronted all the candidates about supporting a neutral flag policy. Many agreed, and some even supported stopping city funding for the local Pride festival. In the end, one pro-family candidate won, though one “gay” candidate also won. It was a good start!

Starting in late November, our activists consistently emailed and called the City Council members to demand a neutral flag policy. If at first they didn’t respond, more calls were made until they did! Local activists also provided sample language for the ordinance.

In March 2024, nearby Huntington Beach, CA voters passed a referendum banning non-government flags on city property. And Joe Biden reluctantly signed a budget bill that included a ban on LGBT flags at US embassies. But getting this policy past the leftist Downey City Council definitely presented a challenge.

At the April and May City Council meetings

At the April 9 Downey City Council meeting, our activists came and spoke passionately in favor of the neutral flag policy. Why should one group get honored and everyone else left out? One of our activists pointed out that the whole LGBT movement is about people who suffer loneliness and a lack of love, and are seeking to meet their needs in unnatural relationships.

Our hard work clearly made a difference. After the public comment portion of that meeting, it was moved and seconded to put a neutral flag policy on the agenda for an upcoming meeting.

At the next Downey City Council meeting on April 23, more of our activists spoke out in favor of the neutral flag policy. The City Council reportedly had also been discussing it in their closed session. Things were happening!

A few days later it was announced that the City Council would take up the matter at the May 14 meeting – just days before “Pride month” was to begin.

The LGBT movement and the leftists were clearly alarmed. On May 5, the statewide LGBT group Equality California sent out an email blast telling their members to attend the Downey City Council meeting on May 14, warning them that “anti-LGBTQ+ extremists” are out to “silence your pride” and make the city “unwelcoming.”

At the May 14 meeting, it was clear that the political establishment did not want this to pass. Besides the LGBT activists who came (only two or three showed up), staff from the district’s State Assemblywoman and staff from a member of the L.A. County Board of Supervisors (who had pushed for a county-wide Pride Flag resolution) came to urge the City Council to reject the neutral flag policy.

The policy was on the meeting’s agenda, but it was placed at the end of a very lengthy item that took nearly three hours to finish. Then there was an hour of public comment – which several MassResistance citizens participated in.

“Gay” Mayor makes nasty speech blaming MassResistance

Just before the vote, when it had become clear the neutral policy would pass, the openly homosexual Mayor made an angry speech castigating MassResistance. He started off,:

This motion strikes me as a direct attack on the Pride flag. Let’s be clear on what we’re doing. This motion came about because of a group called MassResistance. Some of their members are sitting in the back… It’s an organized group … This is a step backward for our city …

He went on to say that our two goals are “anti-immigration” (offering no evidence) and “anti-Pride flag.” Not surprisingly, he labeled us a “hate group,” which is a typical leftist and “gay” projection of their own hate. His rant bashed religious people who read the Bible as hypocrites who harm their children. He said the Pride flag needs to fly because homosexuals need to feel welcomed.

The Mayor’s statement upset some of the City Council members. One of them immediately spoke out:

I firmly disagree with that statement. This is not an attack on any one community. We stand united under the flag of this country. It unites all of us regardless of race, color, or religion. We are called to represent all of our residents.

 MassResistance activists gave strong testimony during the public comments and stayed until the end!

 Just before the vote, the Mayor (center) goes through his rant against MassResistance. The woman toward the right (in front of the white California flag) is the Council member who strongly disagreed with him — and voted for the policy.

The vote

The neutral flag policy passed 3-2. The two “no” votes were by the two homosexuals on the City Council. This was another stunning pro-family victory in a city dominated by Democrats, in one of the most pro-LGBT counties in the country, with a City Council headed by one of the most outspoken LGBT activists in the region.

 When the vote was displayed — 3 yes, 2 no, and 0 abstaining — the leftists were shocked and angry!

Final thoughts

Our MassResistance group in Downey has stuck together for years, and is willing to do what it takes to get good things done. A lot of activity went on (purposely) behind the scenes, which was part of the plan. And they’re not done in Downey. We see this as a springboard to even greater achievements there!

One more thing: To get an idea how shocked and angry this made leftists, one need only look at how the mainstream media in L.A. County (and beyond) exploded over this City Council vote. And the Mayor continued to publicly complain about MassResistance. We will report on that in our next post!

Sri Lanka MassResistance Activists Derail Repeal of anti-sodomy statutes

 

In Sri Lanka: Effort to repeal anti-sodomy statutes derailed, thanks to local MassResistance pro-family activists.

Overcame intense pressure from UN and western nations to turn country pro-LGBT.

But now a new LGBT fight in Parliament over broad “gender” bills.

 Our activists in Sri Lanka are thrilled at this victory over Western cultural imperialism, and are getting ready for the next battle.

In August 2023, MassResistance reported that the country of Sri Lanka, a nation of religiously diverse people, was being pressured by Western countries to repeal its long-standing laws regarding homosexual behavior. The aim was to force Sri Lankan society to be “LGBT-friendly.”

The laws in question, which date from the British colonial period, criminalize “carnal intercourse against the order of nature” and “any act of gross indecency” between persons.

However, the prescribed penalties are rarely imposed. As in many locales around the world, these laws act as a barrier to keep homosexuality and transgenderism from being normalized and accepted in society.

Thus, LGBT behaviors cannot be taught in the schools or promoted to children or as part of any “sex education” curriculum. There can be no “gay marriage,” same-sex civil unions, or any gross public display of homosexual behaviors. Even “gender identity” ideology is banned.

Nevertheless, LGBT organizations are allowed to operate openly in Sri Lanka, and even hold “pride” parades. But they cannot include naked bodies or any of the other disgusting sights one sees at those events in Western countries, and the groups are not involved in any way with the government.

The intense efforts to repeal these laws came from the United Nations, along with public and private money from the US, UK, Canada, and other countries. They funded local LGBT groups to conduct an organized pressure campaign, and also exerted direct international political pressure.

Since early 2023, MassResistance has been working with local leaders and pro-family activists in Sri Lanka to stop this repeal. We provided a detailed flyer outlining key reasons why the country should not repeal these statutes. We explained how it would lead to future problems. We documented how the proliferation of homosexual conduct and transgenderism harm individuals and overall public health.

Many pro-family organizations around the world gave up or kept quiet on this fight in Sri Lanka. But MassResistance was unwavering and continued to help Sri Lankans to stop this repeal in their Parliament. Our activists around the world contacted local churches, local leaders, and members of Parliament, urging them to oppose the repeal. We also connected with Catholic leaders from other countries, who worked with their colleagues in Sri Lanka.

The last big push came in February 2024. Key LGBT groups held a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament. But by then the momentum was against them and their efforts fell flat.

After ten months of activism, the repeal effort has effectively died! Our activists have spoken with members of Parliament and local leaders, and according to all of them there is no appetite to move this bill forward.

Our key contact in the country, Dr. Eschan Dias, enthusiastically thanked MassResistance’s contribution! “I am most grateful to MassResistance for your love and support for this country,” he told us. But he added, “We need to keep up in intensity and velocity.” That’s because of the new threat in Parliament.

Two far-reaching “gender” laws filed

LGBT activists and their supporters in the country are now trying a new approach this year to push their LGBT ideology into the country. Two wide-ranging gender-related bills were announced a few weeks ago.

The “Gender Equality Act” would officially define "gender" in the nation’s law to include men and women who identify as transgender, and “any new identities that may emerge in the future.” This is clearly an open door to state-enforced radical sexual and ideological anarchy.

The “Women’s Empowerment Act” is being touted as an effort to allow more women to be in corporate and government positions. But in reality, this legislation would create and force quotas for women and different sexual “orientations” into broad areas of Sri Lankan corporate and public life. Dr. Dias discusses these bills more fully in a recent Substack article.

 As the Sri Lanka news media has reported, the president has caved in to the radicals. But the real power is in the Parliament. And we're working for more victories there!

Relying on the same tactics the LGBT movement has employed in the UN and Western countries, activists are hoping to confuse lawmakers and shame opponents with general terms about protecting women’s rights and ensuring “gender equality” to push the destructive homosexual-transgender cause into the government and public square of Sri Lanka. (A key tactic is to use “gender” to mean both biological sex and “transgender” identities.)

But MassResistance understands exactly what is going on, and will not stand by and let the people of Sri Lanka – or their legislators in Parliament – be bullied and misled by misinformation and propaganda from the LGBT movement. We will make sure they are fully informed.

Final thoughts

The well-funded international LGBT movement, along with with the UN, private organizations, and Western governments, are determined to force those depraved values on vulnerable religious-oriented nations around the world. MassResistance will help their targets fight back against this cultural imperialism!

Them Before Us Statement on Alabama Supreme Court IVF Ruling

Them Before Us is an excellent ministry/non-profit which is fighting to put Them Before Us, i.e. fight for the NEEDS of children ahead of the desires of adults.

Their research and advocacy turned me into an opponent of in-vitro fertilization and surrogacy. Their compiled research and evidence helped solidfy the intuitive truth, that children need their Dad and Mom, not just "two parents," a revelation which correctly undermines the fraud that is same-sex "marriage."

 In 2016 these California MassResistance activists visited their State Senator's office in Long Beach to strongly disagree with his sponsorship of a an oppressive LGBT anti-religion bill. As a result, he agreed to back off on the bill and compromise.

This year, 2023, marks our 30th year of activism! Many people don’t realize our organization has been around that long. And we’ve accomplished a lot during that time! We’ve expanded our reach incredibly and the momentum is with us to do even greater things.

Starting out as a parents’ group in one city

Five years ago, we wrote about our 25th anniversary of activism. We described how we got started as a parents’ group in Newton, Massachusetts back in 1993, how we became a statewide group a few years later, and how we engaged the “culture war” battles during those early years. Here are two of our best known efforts:

The “Parental Notification Law,” which we wrote and successfully got passed in the Massachusetts Legislature (and signed by the governor) in the mid-1990s, still stands as the only major pro-family legislation to be enacted into law in the state.

We led principled opposition to the illegitimate “gay marriage” ruling in late 2003 by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. A full account of this period can be read in the book by our activist Amy Contrada, How Gay Marriage Began in Massachusetts (available here).

Our first fifteen years were a real trial by fire! We learned (often by trial and error) about what tactics actually work, and the difference between focusing on success versus “looking dignified.” (Note that even the name “MassResistance” carries a psychological impact that most conservative groups are not comfortable with. There’s a reason for that.)

Continuing to make a difference in Massachusetts

For several years starting in the mid-2000s, we were the major force in Massachusetts stopping horrible anti-family bills in the legislature pushed by Planned Parenthood, the LGBT movement, and others.

Planned Parenthood tried several times to replace our Parental Notification Law with one requiring their sex-ed programs. It was stopped each time through determined activism. We were the major force derailing the LGBT movement’s attempts to pass “transgender rights” legislation for years. And there were many other bills that we made sure never got out of committee.

In 2007, the pharmaceutical industry was heavily lobbying a bill to mandate the often-dangerous HPV vaccine to all 6th-grade girls in Massachusetts. It was cruising to passage. But MassResistance organized a big push against it – and we successfully got it killed! We also successfully opposed the effort to mandate the H1N1 vaccine in 2009.

Even when we weren’t successful, the leftist forces felt our presence! We forced the budget committees to take out money for LGBT indoctrination in the schools, though the leadership would often replace it later. We forced then-governor Mitt Romney to disband the loathsome “Massachusetts Commission for Gay and Lesbian Youth” (though the legislature later recreated it as an independent agency). We aggressively publicized the depraved state-sponsored “Youth Pride Day” parade and events in Boston and in local schools, which embarrassed state officials.

National media attention

From the late 1990s to early 2010s, MassResistance’s activism was often covered by national news media. This was before Fox News became “pro-LGBT” – and while the other media outlets, though still biased, were at least willing to cover both sides of the issue.

Thus, we appeared fairly often on the Fox News Network – The O’Reilly Factor, Fox & Friends, Hannity & Colmes, Megyn Kelly, and others. Our activism (and opinions) were also covered in the NBC Nightly News, CNN, CBS News, ABC Evening News, MSNBC, National Public Radio, the New York Times, and many others.

Unfortunately, those days are long gone. Now, even conservative media are often hesitant to cover opposition to anything "gay."

Expanding across the country

We were becoming very well-known across the country and others wanted to take advantage of our serious approach to activism. In 2009, we started our first state chapter in Virginia. Then a few more came on board. Within four years we had MassResistance Chapters from Hawaii to Maine! Over the years we’ve organized chapters in the majority of states, plus Puerto Rico and DC.

A lot of impressive people have been part of them. For example, Marjorie Taylor Greene, now a firebrand Member of Congress, was an activist with our Georgia MassResistance chapter.

Gay marriage battles. Before the 2015 Obergefell ruling, many of our state chapters were fighting the “gay marriage” battle in numerous blue states where their legislatures were working to pass it. In far-left Maryland, we played a major role of stopping it in 2011. Unfortunately, the following year when it was re-introduced, the other pro-family groups ignored our advice and it passed.

Barack Obama’s federal “Safe Schools Czar.”  In 2009, Barack Obama appointed Kevin Jennings, the notorious LGBT school activist and founder of GLSEN, as his “Safe Schools Czar” in the Department of Education with a huge budget to push the LGBT agenda in the nation’s schools. MassResistance led a successful campaign to lobby Congress to act. As a result, fifty-three Congressmen signed a letter demanding his removal. A resolution was submitted in the US House also demanding his removal. In 2011, Kevin Jennings was forced to resign.

Drag Queen Story Hour. MassResistance has taken the lead in stopping the toxic Drag Queen Story Hour events across the country. We have also exposed several of the “Drag Queens” as convicted criminals, including child molesters.

Pornographic books in schools. We have also taken the national lead in getting pornographic books removed from schools and libraries across the country. In several places we’ve forced the perverted employees who bring them in to quit or be fired. And we’ve persuaded several library districts to leave the leftist American Library Association.

Hard-hitting conferences. Our Texas activists put on three incredible pro-family conferences. The speeches from those are still being circulated, years later. Our biggest blockbuster was the Teens4Truth Conference held at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017. Teenagers came from around the state and learned how to fight back against the culture war in their schools. The presentation by pediatric endocrinologist Dr. Quentin Van Meter’s at that event (“The terrible fraud of ‘transgender medicine’ ”) has received 647,000 views on YouTube.

State Legislatures. We have organized people to help stop bad bills and get good pro-family bills passed in legislatures across the country - more than we can list here. A great example was in 2018 – we stopped an anti-therapy bill in the California Legislature that was on its way to easy passage.

And around the world …

When pro-family people in other countries heard of us, they desperately wanted our help fighting their own culture war issues. Many of them feel isolated and under siege. So we’ve been glad to step in! As a result, we’ve had MassResistance chapters form literally around the world.

We've been active in Australia, Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands, Chile, Costa Rica, Finland, Ghana, Hong Kong, Ireland, Jamaica, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

We’ve also been featured in more foreign media news sites than we can list (even Russia). So we can honestly say that the sun never sets on MassResistance activism!

An interesting note: In 2012 the Australian Parliament was taking on the “gay marriage” fight. Our Australian activists asked us to do a video on how “gay marriage” affected Massachusetts, for them to send across the country. The video, What ‘gay marriage’ did to Massachusetts, became an instant international hit, and has been translated into Chinese, Finnish, Spanish, and other languages by local activists.

Hated by all the right people!

It goes without saying that if you’re effective, then the Left will hate you. The number of sleazy left-wing attack groups that smear and demonize MassResistance is pretty impressive: the Southern Poverty Law Center, Media Matters, GLAAD, ACLU, and ADL to name just a few.

Their attacks don’t intimidate us – because we recognize that we are in the midst of an actual battle, a culture war.  But too many conservative groups go out of their way to avoid being labeled by the Left, and as a result are simply ineffective.

Moving forward

MassResistance sees everything we’ve done as laying the groundwork for bigger successes. We believe the next few years will be our most powerful yet. We have a first-rate staff, the world’s best activists, and incredible momentum!

Idaho Family Policy Center: Bathroom Law Upheld!

This is really good news.

We need as many legal precedents as possible to protect children from sexual perversion, including the corruption LGBT agenda.

Let kids be healthy, normal, and real. Stop pushing abuse on them, and stop grooming them to kill themselves!

We need to chip away at this madness every step we can!

Friends, In a major victory for Idaho children, U.S. District Judge David Nye has ordered that our law requiring students to use school restrooms consistent with their biological sex will go back into full force and effect next month. Senate Bill 1100 – which was drafted by Idaho Family Policy Center and sponsored by Sen. Ben Adams (R-Nampa) and Rep. Ted Hill (R-Eagle) – had originally gone into effect in July. However, the following month, Judge Nye issued a temporary restraining order blocking its enforcement pending further court review. In the decision handed down last night, Judge Nye upheld the law, writing, “The state of Idaho has an interest in protecting the privacy and safety of its youth while at school. [Senate Bill 1100 achieves] that goal, while also mandating a reasonable accommodation for any student who feels he or she cannot follow the law.” We’re thrilled that the court affirmed what we’ve been saying all along—that Senate Bill 1100 is substantially related to the important government interest in protecting the privacy rights of all public school students. After all, every child deserves safety in vulnerable places like school bathrooms, changing rooms, and showers.   Standing for our children,

The Mainstream Pro-Family Movement Has Failed

 

For decades, we have witnessed the slow but steady encroachment of the LGBT Agenda and its militant activists demanding special privileges. The normalization of homosexuality has become all too pervasive in our culture, and with it transgenderism. Now this perverse agenda is targeting children on an open, daily basis.

Sodom and Gomorrah has gone from the bedroom, to the boardroom, to the public square. It’s no longer about two consenting adults in private. It’s about forcing adults to consent to this agenda in public.

It has gotten so bad, that even now Republicans, the so-called pro-family party, has begun caving to the destruction of marriage and the normalization of homosexuality and transgenderism.

How did this happen? How did it get this bad, and why has the mainstream pro-family movement failed to stop all this perversion?

Most people are not aware of this, but there were two Republican Congressmen who admitted that they were homosexual shortly after Republicans took back the House of Representatives, the first time in forty years. Instead of removing them from the caucus, Newt Gingrich let them stay, and he refused to take a stand on the issue.

From there, the Republican party continued its narrow attachment to individual liberty, without any foundation in national identity or moral security. Conservatism became a watered-down fusionism of limited government and individual liberty as the two core values. However, liberty and limited government alone cannot conservative a culture, and those principles cannot protect the family or the children.

And from here, we can point out why the mainstream pro-family movement has failed over the last thirty years to stop this false marriage, false gender identity agenda. The pro-family movement never wanted to call out the inherent debauchery and destruction associated with homosexuality and transgenderism. They never wanted to take a firm stance for truth, for fear of sounding bigoted or homophobic.

They fell back on two weak arguments to defend marriage:  tradition and religious freedom.

These are the weakest arguments. Religious liberty or religious adherence in the past was used to justify all kinds of unbiblical principles and stances. Tradition alone can never serve as an argument, either, since it was tradition to enslave certain groups of people. Technological innovation naturally undermines certain traditions as well.

And yet, this past week, I have seen eblast after eblast from mainstream pro-family groups decrying the “Respect for Marriage Act” forcing its way through the United States Senate. They are talking about the potential harms to religious liberty, and how this legislation will open the door to polygamy.

Those arguments may have some truth, but they are not substantive or substantial. The mainstream pro-family movement has failed because they have refused to advance the following arguments and attack the proponents of false marriage and false identities notwithstanding:

1.       Homosexuality and transgenderism are mental illness, not benign forms of identity. These behaviors result from abuse, neglect, confusion, and/or molestation. Normalizing these behaviors only enables these harms all the more.

2.       No one is born homosexual or born in the wrong body. There is nothing loving or compassionate about enabling confusion.

3.       Marriage is not just about the two adults, but about the children. Children need their mother and father, their natural parents, in a natural marriage. Anything else deprives children of their basic needs and harms them for the long-term, according to numerous health and wellness metrics.

4.       What consenting adults do in private has public consequences. Hiding behind the argument of “Live and Let Live,” or “Let’s just protect everyone’s liberty” has created this power-based stalemate, in which the more virulent actors with more money and more sympathy from the public will in. Hence, homosexual and transgender activists have been stomping on the pro-family competition for a long time.

5.       No one has had the courage to call out the malevolence of this whole agenda, poisoning kids and putting pressure on adults to abandon their natural rights and their constitutional liberties. This is not a chess game, but a street fight, and to this day the LGBT forces are shoving the chessboard up the pro-family movement’s ass.

It’s time to stand for truth, it’s time for a total offense in this culture war—and only MassResistance has the rhetoric, the record, and the results to get this done.

 I just received this substantial set of tips about Failed Democrat State Senate candidate Kyle Waterman:

I was looking into Kyle Waterman. He already has an address in Helena. He just vacated a house in Chicago and he only moved here a few years ago from Seattle when he immediately ran for office.

He’s a democrat operative I believe, who is also working really hard to bring the homeless industry, the parasitic industry of homelessness-which is to actually grow homelessness, here to the Flathead Valley. That’s essentially what the recent Beacon article was describing. 

Tucker Carlson has already done an expose on how the exact same practices have destroyed major cities like San Francisco and Seattle. 

Something I thought was very strange and I don’t know if it can be corroborated, but Spokeo has Helena listed as Waterman’s primary address On the unpaid preliminary search. Dem operatives are often so arrogant, they could easily run an illegal campaign by having a primary address not in the district they are running in. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.

In a previous post, I shared with readers that Waterman is a liberal carper-bagger pretending to care about local issues. So what if he served on the Kalispell city council? Democrats have a long tradition of pushing their liberal candidates into suburban and rural cities, placing them on the city council, and then propping them up for higher office, all at the expense of the needs of region and the voice of the voters.

The voters in Kalispell and Flathead County, Montana need to reject this fruitcake carpetbagger!

Massive Effort to Stop Passage of Tax Levies in the November Election

In a previous post, MassResistance shared with readers how our West Virginia Chapter is taking on drag queens and drag shows around Parkersburg, WV and the surrounding Wood County region.

Now we want to share with you the efforts of our Parkersburg team to expose the perverse, obscene books in the local libraries and schools.

On top of that, we will share with you how staff at the schools and the libraries attacked the parents instead of respecting their wishes and making every effort to protect the students.

Parkersburg Libraries

There are four branch libraries in the Parkersburg-Wood County Library system. A number of parents in the community have filed serious complaints against these books, and they have spoken out in the library board meetings, demanding that the books be removed.

Instead of heading the concerns of the parents, the Parkersburg-Wood County Library Director Brian Raitz mocked the parents and dismissed their concerns in an Op-Ed in the local paper.

Here are key remarks exposing his abusive snark and shameful attitude toward the parents, as well as rampant disregard for the well-being of children:

To begin with, several people came to the board meeting upset about a certain book: “Gender Queer” by Maia Kobabe. I was unaware at first of the purpose of their attendance at the board meeting. They asked about the library, funding, and management. I went over a brief history of the library and its funding resources. It was later that we heard about the book at the heart of the visit.

The book in question is a graphical autobiography of someone’s life growing up with gender identification issues. The issue with this book is a couple of frames with graphic portrayal of a sexual nature that offended those in the room. It offended most, but not all, and this may be the heart of the issue.

 

Here’s a sample of some of the “graphic portrayal of a sexual nature” that many people find not just offensive but patently obscene:

Here, the girl is drawn to look convincingly like a teen boy while her sister persuades her to taste her vaginal fluid.

The mental illness in the LGBT "community" is understandable after seeing all this - clearly written by an "insider" to that sordid lifestyle.

Despite his so-called professionalism as a library director, he is clearly more interested in pushing perversion on children, all under the guise of “Freedom of Speech.”

And there’s more from his editorial which cannot be overlooked:

Libraries are not safe repositories of a past or present that is inoffensive to everyone. Public libraries are wild and wonderful places to explore the world and our community together through the past, the present, and the future. The past is there in older materials in the collection that sometimes become less relevant, or other times may give us a window into who we were, such as genealogy and local history.

 

Public libraries are also a reflection of the interests of everyone in the community now, and a glimpse of where those interests are going. Anyone that spends time in a public library will soon run into materials and people that challenge, disturb, and offend them. We are a broad spectrum of people in our community, and to meet the needs and desires of everyone, this challenging and uncomfortable part of public libraries is inevitable.

 

Hiding behind the usual verbiage for “diversity, equity, inclusion, hard topics, tough issues,” Raitz completely covers up the fact that he is promoting and pushing pornography in the library. The issue is not about tough ideas or difficult issues. The problem is that these books are filled with abject, obscene, perverse images appealing to prurient interest, without any redeeming social value whatsoever.

There is no excuse for Raitz trying to cover up what a sick man he is, to allow such garbage to pushed on kids, and not just through the public libraries but the public schools, as well!

And speaking of the schools, Parkersburg residents have filed numerous complaints with the local schools, pointing out the availability of these obscene, pornographic books violates the city ordinances against obscenity!

Michael Erb, Communications Coordinator

Instead of respecting the will of the parents and removing the books from school circulation, Wood County School District Communications Coordinator Michael Erb complained to the local press, and they published another editorial, once again mocking the good people who are fighting to protect the community’s children.

Here are some of the more offensive excerpts from the editorial:

You know the accusation that protesters and crisis actors are ferried around the country to perform as the need changes? Doesn’t matter what the cause du jour, these folks are there to stir the pot. 

 

You might know them from their railing against masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19, or their actions in Washington, D.C., on and around Jan. 6, 2021. Maybe you remember them from their fight against the phantom they created and named “Critical Race Theory.” Now the enemy is books.

 

You’ll hear them say the target is books about sexuality and gender issues, but a look at the list they’d like to ban in our schools and libraries reveals the aim is broader than that.

Instead of respecting their cause, the editorial merely mocks the parents, painting them as a bunch of out-of-touch busybodies looking to cause trouble. The troubles would have never visited the community of the library and the school district had the decency to remove the indecent, obscene books from the local libraries in the first place!

The parents have complained to the school board that the communications directory has broken the law, since he did not forward the complaints to the principal, who in turn would have removed the books and reviewed them for a final decision to keep them or get rid of them.

In spite of local efforts to frustrate the parents and protect these terrible books, one of the activists in Parkersburg has taken the bold step of filing complaints with the country district attorney. The good news is that unlike most district attorneys, this one is willing to follow up and find out how he can stop the perverse indoctrination of the children in Wood County.

My apologies for the delayed response.  I’ve had family health situations, and out of town work demanding my time.   

 

Thank you again for the reply.  I (and many others) would like to know if any of the parties (Shriners, performers, or parents) violated any law/code/ordinance etc.  The sections of code I previously mentioned may have been violated, but I defer to your expertise on this determination and any other possible violations.  To most people, it would seem this event and actions could not be legally permitted.  

 

Since that time, we’ve also discovered what appears to be multiple violations of the City of Parkersburg Ordinance 517.02 (attached) by the Parkersburg and Wood County Library for knowingly displaying and distributing obscene matter to minors through what could be considered “child porn” books in the libraries.  A number of people attended a Library Board meeting where the Library Director, Brian Raitz, admitted he had no problem with distributing this to children.  There are a number of witnesses that would testify.   See also his attached op-ed that appeared in the local newspaper.  

 

What’s most troubling is that these books that show graphic sexual illustrations, including incest and perverse acts involving minors, are available to every student in Wood County Schools through their libraries without parental supervision or approval.  Attached is a spreadsheet verifying some of these statements.  There is more evidence available.  

 

Between sexually insinuating drag shows for children and child porn books in our libraries, some very sick people are hyper sexualizing children in a grooming fashion for very disturbing purposes.  If there’s not a violation of law, then it should be.  

 

Please join me and many others in protecting the children of Wood County.  These children just need to be left alone from indoctrination and left to be kids.

The Parkersburg team is kicking butt! They are not backing down from the fight to do what is best for the county and the families living there. They hope not only to expose the terrible shenanigans of the local schools and libraries, but they want to convince the voters to reject two levies on the November ballot. Both of the ballot initiatives, if they pass, will secure continued funding for the libraries and more funding for the schools.

Why should anyone put up their hard-earned money for public institutions which mock parents and want to harm children? Any library which insists on pushing pornography and LGBT indoctrination into children deserves to be defunded. Any school districts which refuses to respect the outrage of parents and instead finds ways to mock them does not deserve their money, either.

In a next post, we will discuss the desperate attempts by the library system and the school district to raise more money, despite their terrible record of service. We will also share with you an update from the district attorney and his investigations into the drag queen performances as well as the public schools and libraries.
